The bathroom is awful, the floors are sticky and there is paper towel waste everywhere. Our server forgot us twice. Appetizer of chicken Walton tacos were good.

Come here if you want poor service combined with a management team that has no leadership abilities. The food will be your typical Applebee’s mediocre taste. But generally the service will make up for it; not happening at this location.

Worst service ever! We told the host we wanted a booth. He told us there were not any available, even though we could see at least five empty booths. He and his assistant proceeded to show us to the worst table in the restaurant. It was by the door and so close to the table next to us we could only sit on one side. He seemed more interested about the computer on the table than assisting us. While we waited for our order, several people were placed at the other booths that were empty. We were served our appetizer with out plates. I guess we were treated so poorly, because we had coupons. I received those coupons, because I spent over $ 100 in gift cards over the holidays. I won’t buy any gift cards from them any more.

I suppose it would be my own fault for coming to Applebee’s for a good steak! To start the restaurant was pretty empty with absolutely no one at the bar and it seemed to take longer to get our drinks than it did to get our food! My steak was a strange shade of grey on the ends & purple and cold inside. Worst Bloody Mary ever! The only pleasant part of our experience was our waitress.

Got two orders of wings from this location. The wings were very large which is fine, but when you have larger wings you have to make sure they are cooked all the way through. We about half our wings were inedible.

Couldn’t even eat the steak. Soggy, undercooked, and no sear to speak of. It’s like they boiled it.

Applebee’s is best at night when they have 50 cent boneless wings and three dollar long islands or margaritas. I love their happy hour specials and the alcohol isn’t bad. I will say they are lighter on the alcohol then most but what do you expect from a three dollar drink? Anyways it’s not a bad place to go to after 9 pm.

Did not have a good time, the best part of this visit was the mixed drinks. The steak I asked for medium well I got it well done and chewy. The nachos were soaked in the lettuce for way too long so they weren’t crunchy. The mashed potatoes were cold and looked like they had been sitting there all day. I ordered Churros and smores and they were fried bread no cinnamon sugar at all and the marshmallows weren’t melted.

The most ghetto applebees around. Loved the staff but the atmosphere was horrible, if you have kids I would recommend not coming here unless you want your kids to have profanity lessons.

I like the new«Pub» style bar atmosphere there aiming towards. I’ve been recently visiting the restaurant for their new mix & match plate deal. You can get 2 for $ 8 or 3 for $ 11, you can add up to 2 more plates for $ 2 ea. Most of these plates are new, others are some old appetizers, but reinvented l. The plates are small about 3 – 5 pieces a plate depending on the dish. I ordered the wonton tacos, chicken quesadillas, boneless wings, spin dip with chips, and the soup of the day, potato soup. All that for $ 15. Was in the mood for a bloody mary, I wasn’t impressed by theirs. So I recommend that menu if you want variety, just a little taste of everything.

It is super friendly environment and food is always served quick and well prepared. Even when I had a bad situation the manager handled it to my satisfaction.

Worst Togo experience ever !!! I asked for a side of Mac and cheese for my two year old(she can’t eat a whole kids meal) mind you I was just in two weeks ago and got just a side of Mac and cheese and tonight Ted the«manager» says they can’t give me just a side I have to buy the whole meal … As a chain restaurant I should be able to get a side of anything but tonight Ted refused to help a loyal customer. I’ll never come back to this location again

Let’s preface this review with the fact I was given an Applebee’s gift card for Christmas. OK after the intial SHOCK of OMG I HAVETOGOTOAPPLEBEE’S — I thought — who can I re-gift this to? Of course, I couldn’t do it, I don’t know anybody who likes Applebee’s, so I waited about 7 months & thought, I’ll just use it already! We were out running around when we passed this Applebee’s, I’ve never been there before(but I haven’t been to Applebee’s in more then 10 years after some really bad experiences) so why not? The place was nice, typical south side location — some odd customers and servers but that’s fun! I liked the atmosphere! Our server’s name was Keshia — she was totally awesome — i mean 1 of the best servers i’ve ever had in my LIFE! She really made this experience and that is why i have given it 3 stars. The food was typical Applebee’s reheated pre-processed food. Too salty, no taste, bland, unfortunate. I even ordered a steak w/o onions & since it all comes in a package together(if they don’t actual prepare the food there, can it be called a restaurant?) I couldn’t get the actual whiskey«packet» so I just got a plain steak. It’s just sad… So if not for Keshia saving the day, this would have been a miserable time, but she made it so much better!

It’s Applebee’s. Food is the kind of «you get what you pay for» type dishes. There are always quite the characters at this location. Regardless, everyone has been super friendly, and I’ve never had any problems with my orders. I loved the fact that I was hungry at 11:30 pm, and I could grab a bite to eat because the kitchen closed at 1 am. But I think this is weekends only, could be wrong.

Darlene C. I am a great fan of Applebee’s. I went to Apples on Lindell, for my birthday and got the best service. The waitress had the best personality, and the sampler plate was worth the wait. The chocolate dessert made my birthday great. I would take anyone to Applebee’s for a celebration lunch, dinner, or just a casual date.

I mean, I’m not gonna act like I don’t love Applebee’s. I think this world would be a better place if people stopped acting like they were too cool for Applebee’s. You see someone who openly admits their love for Applebee’s and think«trashy, tasteless hoosier». I see someone who claims to hate Applebee’s and I think«douchey, pretentious bastard who is lying to themselves about this and probably a lot of other things». What’s not to love? I mean their menu is absolutely breathtaking. I mean seriously, do you not like chicken wings? Mozzarella sticks? Onion rings? Anything deep fried??? And I haven’t even left the appetizers yet. Beyond that, you’ve got your choice of pages and pages of safe, comfortable, vanilla cuisine. You don’t have to try something new every day of your life. Seriously. I mean what foodie doesn’t secretly wish they could just throw on some sweatpants, saunter into an Applebees, order a bacon burger, ignore the ketchup, and dip their fries in a boat of ranch dressing? Correct me if I’m wrong, but that is the American Dream, isn’t it? I friggin’ LOVE this Applebee’s in particular(and compared to the Applebee’s in the Central West End, this place is fricking Fleming’s). It is quintessential St. Louis. Always lively. Always a bunch of characters. Half the people here have given up on life completely, and the other half are living it to the fullest. You know how you can always think of a thousand restaurants you want to go to, except when you actually need to pick a restaurant? That’s what Applebee’s is for. Give me ANY situation and I will prove to you why Applebee’s is the right choice for that occasion.

We were given a gift card so we decided to use it for lunch. We got there and their credit card machine was down. Not only couldnt we use our gift card but we couldnt use debit or credit either. Needless to say we dined somewhere else.

If your going to suck at reviewing get the f off. You knew it was applebees when you walked in the door.(too one start rater) I was seated quickly. Sat for ten min before getting up to ask wheres my server. I got the all you can eat soup, salad and bread. Choosing the shrimp n spinach it was 9.00. Very yummy. My server was also polite. 3 stars due to me having to get up to find a server and took a long time for my food during a slow lunch rush.

Back in college, I worked at a Applebee’s. No, I’m not proud of this, but there’s nothing wrong with making an honest wage. Occasionally I’ll get a hankering for something from Applebee’s — and no, I don’t have to use my Unilocal application to find one :) Last Friday night I was really craving mashed potatoes. Applebee’s does make a mean mashed potato. And nothing else would suffice. Called in a Carside To-Go order and was out the door in minutes. Pulled up to the reserved Carside parking and a bubbly young lady was ready to greet me within seconds. As I pulled out of the lot, I thought to myself, «Why the heck don’t I eat here more? This is so great.» And that’s where the good times stopped rolling… Got home and unpacked my order, only to find that the bubbly young girl(hint: bubbly = not very smart!) put fries in my to-go box instead of mashed potatoes. Normally I’m not picky about my taters, but the only reason I ordered Applebee’s was to get the mashed potatoes. Mistakes happen, right? No big deal! I called up to tell them about the error — she was very apologetic and asked that I come back for my potatoes and a dessert. Get back in the car, drive back to the Applebee’s and wait. When she comes back out to the car, I hand her the bag of food, untouched. She looks confused: «I thought you only wanted mashed potatoes. You want an entirely new meal?» Well, by the time I’ve driven back and forth, it’s been a good 30 minutes and my food is now cold. ‘Aint no way I’m taking home warm mashed potatoes and cold fried shrimp! She looks very irritated and confused… «But I brought you dessert,» she says. I don’t give a crap about the Duncan Hines creation that she carefully wrapped in aluminum foil at this point. I want the warm meal that I ordered. 30 minutes ago! That I’ve now driven waaaaay too much to eat! Eventually I got my meal the way I wanted it. And I certainly didn’t meant to frustrate or confuse the Carside To-Go girl(whom I tipped very well, btw). But it just goes to show you that places like Applebee’s don’t take the time or energy to train their employees(myself included!) properly. Or hire people with common sense! #Fail
