Great place to have a reasonable priced high quality dinner. The staff is always willing to go over the top to make sure everyone is happy and the sizes are amazing and all the meals come with the salad bar what could be better. To top it off in the tavern there are live bands and karaōke every month, Also can enjoy the same food menu as the restaurant and great quality service. Also on Monday’s & Sunday 10 $ burger and beer :). You got to check it out you will not be disappointed. don’t forget to ask for Robert ;)

We had such high hopes for this place! We arrived at 5:00pm and learned that you can’t order regular entrees until 5:30pm. We were told that we could still order and enjoy the salad bar in the meantime. In theory that sounded great to us, but we ended up not ordering until 5:35pm.(We were ready to order, but our waitress was busy doing other things.) I will add that when we FINALLY ordered, 35 minutes after arriving, I was told that they were out of ribs. I am not a seafood eater and every other entrée was either steak(out of my budget) or seafood, so I ordered a turkey popover and nachos for an appetizer. Bonus: our waitress did let me visit the salad bar even though what I ordered didn’t officially include it. I will add at this point that we had a meeting at 6:30pm… This should have given us plenty of time to eat and make our meeting on time! But no, meals did not come until 6:05pm or so.(I had ordered an appetizer of nachos, but they didn’t come until the rest of the food came.) My mom’s meal was great, but my dad’s steak was well-done(he had ordered medium rare). By the time we got this all resolved it was 6:25pm…instead of getting new steak they did not charge him for his meal, hence this being a 3-star review instead of 2-stars. I will note that people that were sitting at the bar that ordered several minutes AFTER us all received their meals at least 10 minutes BEFORE us. We were told it was because we had ordered steak.(But one of the guys at the bar had steak.) And seeing that my dad’s steak was turned into leather, something obviously went wrong. So from our arrival until we left it took an hour and a half. There was one other(maybe two other) tables of customers seated plus about 8 people at the bar. Just way too slow for an empty restaurant! I will give the place another chance sometime when we have more than 1.5 hours to spend sitting around…

Not sure why Unilocal list this hidden Gem(located on Holiday Inn) as $$$ as its reasonably priced(avg Entrée $ 17 – 23) and Daily Specials(Friday was all you can eat Pasta and Salad for $ 12) We had 2 appetizers. 1 — Calamari which was a solid portion and mix of circles and full Squid looking pieces. They were hot, crisp and tasty. The Marinara sauce was delicious. 2 — Pulled Pork Popover which was outrageously good. Two popovers brimming with very moist, tasty pork. Clumped together under a mound of perfectly melted cheese. Delicious. We both had the Surf n Turf. The 10 oz(seemed bigger) NY Strip was delicious and so tender barely needed a knife. The Baked Shrimp Scampi that accompanied it was a Garlicky/buttery delight that not only melted in your mouth but seemed to go perfectly with the tender steak. The Mashed Potatoes(real) were also superb. The drinks(Margarita & Mudslide) were good and reasonable in price, strength and taste. The atmosphere was typical Hotel /Steakhouse but not noisy. The staff were friendly, talkative and attentive. Definitely will return the next time we are in town for a show even if Restaraunt Com is not offering a coupon.

The menu is switched up a few times a week, which leaves us with options always. The hanger steak is juicy and never disappointing. The salmon special was also very delicious. The bison burgers with the pretzel rolls are amazing. Salad bar is also changed up weekly from dressings, to different toppings. The atmosphere is peaceful and laid back. We love it here.

Valentines disaster!!! No staff [poor staff], table bus, that never waited tables was our waitress– One hour to be seated, Two [2] hours before served– One [1] of four [4] entries eatable as ordered– One [1] of four [4] cocktails was as ordered, i.e., coffee brandy was served as a cup of coffee with a shot of brandy??? Cream on the side, HONEST! Owner/chef visiting friends and disgruntled guests, not in kitchen preparing food!!! Conversations with neighboring guests were all negative, with one young couple waiting two hours for hamburger plates and fries– This was our second and final experience with this joint, and had it not been for a certificate, it wouldn’t have been our second– PS; the young lady that waited our table was fantastic and totally frustrated, but she did a great job– Welcome to Vermont, «the armpit of the nation» True, I’m local~
