I recommend Malcolm without any hesitation. He is very knowledgeable and a diligent worker. Malcolm has been incredibly accommodating in regards to fitting me into his schedule. His prices are very reasonable and he shows a genuine interest in helping people. Malcolm gets the job done quickly and without cutting corners; I will not be enlisting the services of any other mechanic for as long as I live in Richmond.

Top recommendation for Malcolm. He did an outstanding job while being extremely professional, polite, and conscientious. Further, he squeezed my job into his schedule to get me back on the road ASAP, and his cost for labor was *very* reasonable.
My starter died on a 2007 Honda Civic at a restaurant at 9 PM on a Friday night. I contacted Malcolm via email and received a return phone call from him at 11 PM. Malcolm scheduled the starter installation at noon Saturday and instructed me to pick up a replacement starter Saturday morning. He told me that this was a tough job because of the location of the starter (the reason I didn’t do the job myself), but his quote was incredibly reasonable, especially because I didn’t need to pay for a tow and didn’t have to wait until Monday to have an overpriced shop do the job. He called at 10:30 AM Saturday to confirm and then again at 11:30 AM to let me know he was on his way. He immediately set up in the parking lot, completed the job, confirmed everything was working to my satisfaction, and cleaned up. I am very impressed with Malcolm and will definitely use him for other repairs that come up.

I’ve been in Richmond for 4 years and in that time, I couldn’t find a reliable, trustworthy, and honest mechanic in the area. Therefore, I would always drive 2 hours to go back home to get my car worked on. However, this weekend, my car would not start at all, so I had to find a mobile mechanic in Richmond. Kweleme Mobile Mechanics was one of the first mobile mechanics in Richmond to come up on Google. After reading all of the great reviews, I contacted the company and spoke to Malcolm. He was amazing!!! He came to our appointment right on time and called me to let me know he was on his way before arriving. He did a full diagnostic test before confirming that it was my starter (like I thought), so I bought the part and he fixed it that day!
He was very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. In the end, I got my car working again and Malcolm got a new, loyal customer.
I would recommend Kweleme Mobile Mechanics to everyone I know and anyone else in the Richmond area.

I can’t say enough good things about Malcolm (of Kweleme Mobile Mechanic). I emailed him, he called me, and came out on a Saturday; I was a little panicked because my car wouldn’t start and I had no money for a tow – he was God sent. I did a Google search for a mobile mechanic and the reviews for this company was great so I gave it a try! He assured me that he could fix any problem I had and he did! He also found a couple other problems and I told him he can go ahead and fix those too. I already made the decision to make him my new mechanic. He’s knowledgable and in that short amount of time, he showed me ways to maintain the life of my car. He is reasonably priced for someone on a budget (all you pay is labor because you buy the parts) and I am looking forward to him working on my car in the near future. I think we should all spread the word about Kweleme Mobile Mechanic because he deserves repeat customers. ⁵⁄₅

What could be better than having your vehicle serviced by a competent, professional mechanic instead of having to wait at an auto repair shop, stranded for hours? I LOVE being able to do stuff around the house, while my car is being taken care of in my driveway! Malcolm is honest, courteous, knowledgable and he really takes pride in his work. He treats my cars like they are his own, making sure that my family and I are safe and sound on the road. He brought my 98 Camry back from the dead after it had been sitting motionless for 5 years! His rates are reasonable, but the convenience of it all is PRICELESS! I highly recommend him to all of my family and friends!

I had Malcolm to change my battery and he did notnscrew the plugs to the battery properly. This resulted in my car shutting down in the middle of the road. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and had him give me a tune up. Some of the parts were not properly placed back in my car and the engine end up overheating. I hadmto take my car to another mechanic which resulted in more money I had to spend. Do not call this guy.

I called Malcolm because of the previous review on Unilocal.Much like Eric’s review, he did not disappoint.
My Jeep had some broken u-​joints and I needed them repaired. Malcolm told me to expect him the next day– he was right on time and told me what I needed.
When he came back to repair, he was patient with me when I (my husband) mistakenly got the wrong part. He set up while I ran to the auto parts store to amend my (his) mistake. I came back, he got to work, and was finished within a couple of hours. He was patient, hard-​working, fairly priced, and timely. I highly recommend his service.
*He did tell me that he is working full time now and only doing this part-​time, so be patient if calling him after 3pm. It’s worth it.

My car broke down at 6pm on a Friday night. Luckily the bearing in my drive shaft didn’t fall out until I pulled into the Wawa off S. Airport rd. I Googled mobile mechanic in Richmond and this guys business pulled up. I called him and explained the problem and he diagnosed it over the phone and told me it would be $ 175 for labor and $ 150 for the parts. I agreed and he told me that he would meet me at 10am the next morning at my house. While I was waiting for the tow truck he came to my location without me asking in order to ensure that he would purchase the correct parts where he informed me that the parts would be only $ 75 as opposed to the original $ 150! He didn’t have to do that. I had already agreed on the $ 150. He also didn’t have to come out to where I was at 6:30 on a Friday night. I was already impressed. The next morning he called me at 9:30 to confirm our 10am meeting at which time I told him that I would be ready at 10:10am. I turned the corner to meet him at exactly 10:10am as he was pulling up. I was once again impressed. He then started working on my car right outside my house and finished replacing the bearings in my driveshaft in 30 minutes! The cost was exactly what he said. I’m rarely impressed as most people only do half of what they say or completely flake on you. This guy did everything he said, when he said, at the price he said.
