Description

Specialties

Baker’s Crust is known for our Artisan Breads baked fresh daily and our hand-spun crepes! We offer a variety of menu items; each of our menu categories has an identity, like our traditional Neapolitan Pizzas, our Farm to Fork Salads, or our New Zealand grass-fed, handcrafted burgers!

History

Established in 1998.

Baker’s Crust opened for business in October of 1993 in Hilltop North Shopping Center, about 3 miles away from the oceanfront in Virginia Beach. We have evolved from a self-service, 36-seat sandwich and breakfast spot to a full service restaurant, servicing breakfast, lunch and dinner, and dessert seven days a week. Hearth-baked, European style artisan breads are at the heart of our business. Everything, including the breads, pastries and desserts, are made from scratch.

In 1995, we opened a second location in the Ghent section of Norfolk, and a third to follow on Cary Street in Richmond in 1998. The original location in Virginia Beach baked all of the breads, pastries and desserts at first, but to keep up with the demand, we opened a 4,600 square foot central production facility down the street and around the corner.

In 2003, we opened a location in the Short Pump Mall in Richmond. In 2008, we opened a Baker’s Crust in Chesapeake and another in Williamsburg in 2009.
