Business Owner

Gary Swett-​owner of Carpets Plus Inc., started the company in 1974. He is the «go to guy» in Sacramento if you have any floor covering needs. He was an innovator in that he is believed to be the first Carpet store in Sacramento area with the Mobile Showroom. A service that is still offered today. Delivery was horrible! They sent one guy out and he couldn’t even take the carpet into my house on his own. He was unprofessional and complained about doing his job. What delivery knocks on your door and asks for help unloading? What’s the point of paying for delivery ??? Unless he was planning I felt like he thought he’d just drop it off on my lawn ! I didn’t understand the point of him coming.

I had some fibers from my carpet and I needed a small palm-​sized swatch of carpet and Carpet Plus was the only place I called that was willing to help me find just that small portion. Once I arrived Mike was very helpful and we found a match to the fibers. He told me it was free of charge because of how small the piece was. Overall great experience

Norm is really great! I am on a search for a grey vinyl remnant and he let me take a sample to my home to match the color. I guessed the color wrong but Norm called other local stores to help me find what I needed. They have lots of carpets, hardwoods and tiles to choose from. I will definitely check Carpets Plus first for my home renovation projects in the future!!!

I read the reviews here and based on that, decided to visit Carpets Plus to look in to choosing new flooring for my house. My experience was much like what others have posted. I got hand scraped hickory hardwood floors, new baseboards, and new carpeting for 2 bedrooms. I could not be more pleased with the result, the integrity of everyone I came in contact with. I would use them again without hesitation. Thank you, Gary, Jason, Mike and the rest of the folks who assisted in the process. Wow… just wow. My house is beautiful! I have a picture I wanted to post, but did not see a link on Unilocal to do that.

We came to carpets plus just to get a quote on carpet for our 2nd story on our house. Little did we know we walked into a pure «gem». From the moment of purchasing to installation it was such a pleasant experience. Gary the owner is such a good guy, he took care of us from day 1. The installers whom were assigned to our job were equally as pleasant, took our job seriously, had fun while doing it and completed our whole job in one day! This store is the best flooring company around bar none. Go here for your needs you will not regret it. We will definitely be back. Customers for life…

Excellent experience!
We purchased our house 2 years ago. We have made various upgrades as time and money permits. Well we decided to go with laminate and did price comparisons with a large business (let’s call the «joes») and Carpet Plus. To remove tile/​carpet and install laminate for approx 710 sq ft was over $ 1,000 difference in price-​Carpet plus the better deal. Gary was great. He personally came to the house, took the measurements, gave us an exact quote. He had nice variety in his selection of laminates too. His team of guys were very professional, did the job in what was supposed to be 3 days in 1.5 days. The flooring looks amazing and we’ve had a ton of compliments so far, people wanting to know what company we went with! Gary came out after the job was complete too. Will recommend Gary for people looking for a professional experience.

Gary, the owner is very helpful and works hard to see that you get the best possible carpet for what you can afford. Carpets Plus has installed carpets and linoleum at almost every one of my rental properties and my own home. Their carpeting is reasonably priced and always provide fast, quality installations. Since I discovered Carpets Plus 5 years ago, I have been so happy with them that I have had no reason to use anyone else. The owner, Gary, goes out of his way to make sure my tenants and I are happy anytime I call.
