The hotel(now called Cloud 9 Hotel) was OK, though I thought it might be nicer for the price. There was a silverfish on the comforter, which is not a big deal, but not all that pleasant. The room initially had a damp smell to it, although turning on the A/C mitigated that. There is no pool. On the bright side, there is a decent continental breakfast and coin-operated laundry machines.

AVOIDTHISPLACE — horrible!!! They tried to give our room away twice. There is a musty smell in the rooms — breakfast is frozen Eggo’s. Front desk staff is rude. Towels are like hand towels and the blankets sheets are not washed with fabric softener so a lot of static — just HORRIBLE!!! When I called for the reservation for FOUR nights, they put me down for 3 nights. So to my surprise I was charged another night that I wasn’t expecting — not my error! So I called to get this corrected — and was basically told to deal with it. So my review stands FIRM! HORRIBLEBEFOREDURINGANDAFTER!!!

We ended up here after a «fiasco» with Super 8 Motel in Kingston, NY(see review for full details and understand my review.) The Front Desk staff(only person) was very friendly. He explained to me that the reason that the agent at the other Super 8 in Kingston could not find my reservation was because, once the hotel is full, the agent cannot see any further reservations. Supposedly, «they»(I assume he is talking about management in headquarters) know about the problem and«they» are working on it. In addition, when making a reservation with Super 8 directly, the reservation agent stated that the pet charge was $ 10 extra per night but upon arrival and to our surprise, the front desk agent stated that it was $ 25 extra per night. The rooms were clean, with the very bare minimums, typical of a Super 8 but I expected more for the $ 150 per night charge. The room has a fridge, a good selection of television channels, clean rooms and bathrooms. The«Super 8 Breakfast» is VERY pathetic. With only a selection of fruit loops or corn flakes cereals, coffee/tea/decaf, bagel with a simple cheap toaster that took a long time to toast and that’s it… Super 8 breakfast? More like Super negative 8 breakfast! And housekeeping was knocking on our door already at 9am. Overpriced place that had a pathetic breakfast and bare minimums is not a place I will be coming back for soon.
