This place is YUCK YUCK AND MORE YUCK! Here’s a fun fact for you — that brick standalone building in the back? Lock up your kids, people, because there’s always a few sex offenders settin’ up shop there (don’t believe me — check for yourself on line). The rooms are DISGUSTING. When I did stay there in my younger days, I couldn’t bear to check the beds for bed bugs… but c’mon, if clean places are getting them, how can this place NOT have them? I think they just changed ownership recently and I hope since it is a truly convenient location that they can clean this place up! Just all around nastiness!

I booked a room here out of desperation as there wasn’t really anything else available close to Vassar.

The price was right ($ 89/​night with tax), but «you get what you pay for» as they say. Staff was really nice and friendly, linens and towels were spotless. No bugs or anything.

The whole place just smells weird, even the hotel lobby. It’s not a cigarette or an animal smell though. Perhaps they use a cleaning product that my nose isn’t used to?
When you check-​in, they hand you a remote control for the TV which you take with you to your room. This means that you have a lot of people walking around in public with remote controls, which just reminded me of The Jerk or something («All I need is my thermos, my toothbrush, and this here remote control…»).
Overall, just an old hotel that could probably use a full-​on renovation sometime. But maybe they don’t get enough people staying there to make it worth their time?
