New Seasons Market

I absolutely hated this place. I just wanted to quick stop in for lunch and that was almost impossible. Unless you’ve been to this store before it’s impossible to understand how to get service. Even when I asked someone for help I was ignored. I walked out with nothing after 15 wasted minutes of my 30 minute break.

This is probably my favorite grocery store. Ever! I would recommend coming here if you have never been in America the prices are very high but great staff in the produce department there is a free fruit for kids basket that you can take for kids it’s great and I love how everything is organic this place is much better than spending your money at some nonorganic no quality grocery store LOVE THIS PLACE!

Love shopping here for hard to find items like fresh, organic lime juice, coconut aminos, Red Boat fish sauce, and vegan cheeses.
The deli counter is a marvel of beautiful, tasty food, and the daily three soup choices are my go to if I need fast food. There’s always options for me – that’s a big statement, considering my many nagging food allergies.
Love walking through the floral department for inspiration and an olfactory high. Love the fresh produce and the great choices for the prepped chicken breasts or beef.
The parking lot is a bit of a mess here, and it takes heightened awareness to negotiate it without denting the car or backing into a pedestrian. Still, the café area makes any trip here worth the quagmire parking lot.

Great food. Fresh meat, good deli and baked goods and desserts. Great to stop for lunch or for groceries. Good coffee bar as well. Everything you need.

I like this market. The staff is nice. The store is attractive and well maintained. The produce alone is a reason to visit, fresh, beautiful stuff that is hard to find anywhere else in town and the employees actually seem to know what they are talking about.
It was the first New Seasons ever visited (I think this was one of the first). At the time a friend of my ex had gotten a job here and we stopped to see it. We were impressed. They were grilling hamburgers and mushroom burgers out front as a fund raiser for something (do they still do that?) It was great!
The prices are higher then other grocery stores in town, but then so is the quality. In this case you get what you pay for. I find it a bit cheaper then Whole Foods (and better) or Market of Choice.
That said I don’t like it as well as I used to. They keep dropping my favorite things. The ready to eat area is smaller and many favorites are gone. The last two visits they had no garlic bread (please let this only be a seasonal thing!) and their garlic bread is/​was the best in town!
This outpost is hard to get in and out of (especially if you are coming off BHH). The parking lot is ok but it does get crowded.
Tip #1 check out the produce for unusual fruits!
My best tip is to use the Scholls Ferry driveway if you can.

Friendly staff. Hot & Cold food selection is not the best. On more than one occasion I ordered a ½ sandwich and got a whole and had to pay for a whole. Also, purchased a meal that had to be reheated in the oven or microwave, with no instructions on how to do that. Feeling as if New Seasons is finally believing their hype.

I LOVE this store. Rarely have an experience that is less than stellar. You have to know that the prices help support paying these folks a living wage so don’t expect bargains or you will suffer from disappointment.

When I first started going here I felt the service was great. But then I tried to place a special order for a case of energy drinks. The first time I did it in store but after not hearing back I finally called and they had no record of me. They profusely apologized took my special order again, made sure to write it down, and promised to let me know. But once again I heard nothing back. I have placed other special orders at other new seasons and even whole foods but I haven’t had this problem. Even if they couldn’t get it in stock it would have been nice to hear back and know so I wasn’t waiting. Not very good customer service!

This truly is the friendliest store. I love shopping here and it is worth paying a little extra for the quality and service.

WAKE UP NEW SEASONS!!! and take a hard look at your competition — mostly Whole Foods and Trader Joes. These two stores have their own product lines which offer much more affordable options. And, these two stores have friendly helpful employees. They clearly enjoy their jobs which is definitely not the case at NS Raleigh Hills. Also, the employes at this location generally speaking seem stressed, inattentive and are very understaffed. The prices have become outrageous. There are only two items I now purchase there; i’m not mentioning the items as I am certain those prices would then also escalate. I shopped at this location since it’s birth and often once a day. NO MORE!!!

This is my local New Seasons. I think it is a great store and while at first I missed some of the cool things that other NSs had that this one doesn’t I have come to love the Raleigh Hills NS. It is super mellow and not usually too busy. The parking lot is small so even when it looks crowded this one isn’t too bad. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. And– because this is a less-​traveled NS it is easier to come in and be sure to get killer sales that would have already been sold out @ other more high traffic locations… For instance– I scored on the Hood strawberries this year when they were pretty much wiped out at other stores. LOVE IT!

Love New Seasons! Love! Favorite grocery store, I go to the Mountain park location often because it’s right by my house.
However, I go to this location frequently for lunch because it’s right by my work. I put in orders for woks, sandwiches, etc. no one really pays attention when I put the order in. It sits there forever before someone finishes their personal conversation to give my order to the kitchen. There’s a few girls that work behind the counter that are less than friendly. Often I get back to my desk and the order is wrong. By often I mean probably every 1 out of 3 times.
There is 1 guy who occasionally makes the sandwiches, and he’s great. Pays extra attention to detail and is really friendly, always has a great attitude. Unlike much of the other staff working behind the counter. This place seriously drives me bonkers.

A good sized new seasons, which for those that don’t know is like a slightly less expensive Whole Foods of sorts. Overall it’s a great place to shop and the staff is very nice. This one isn’t too crowded at most times so it’s an easy stop.

I used to come to this New Seasons Market a lot before, but lately I have started to shop at the other location in Beaverton, because lately, things have changed a lot here. The first thing i noticed, the newer employes in the produce section, are quite rude and unfriendly. They do not seem to have any basic concept of what good customer service means.
They really show openly that they do not like you and do not want to be bothered.
This has not only happened once, but quite few times. Before they used to have these other guys and a girl who were so pleasant, friendly, helpful. Gone, replaced by rude people who do not like customers. I also noticed that at sea food section, they have placed the cooked shrimp just beside, touching each other with the raw seafood, such mussels, which are known to contain nasty bacterias, when raw. It is not sanitary.
I have asked few times if they could kindly, make sure they change the placement, like they used to have it before and like the other New Seasons have, but also at this department the ladies are pretty rude and stressed with customers, not helpful at all. Fortunately their supplements selection is better than the other NS in same area and fortunately they cashier employees are still quite awesome and hospitable and very cheerful and friendly. It would be better if the ones at the produce and fish would learn to act the same way, with clients!

I have been spoiled by this New Seasons location.
I can always find a knowledgable, cheerful employee within a few steps. They have experts for each area of the grocery store. I’ve had excellent tips from the wine steward. When you ask for advice from the produce employees, they’ll pull out a knife and hand over a fresh slice of whatever you fancy. I once asked about a coffee syrup I’d never tried. The employee offered to open a new bottle for me, and grab me a cup of coffee to try it in! In the entrance they have recipe cards, and samples of the recipes to try, and they are tasty.
The available selection of produce, dairy, meats, cheese, wine, beer, deli items, specialty items is fantastic. If they do not currently stock something, New Seasons will order it in for you.
I’ve never had to wait in line more than a minute or two, because there are more than enough cashiers to go around. Such a pleasure being I’m always in a rush.
My only complaint is I’ve had issues with some of the meat cuts from the butcher counter, but otherwise I love this store.

I am curious, with all of the retired millenials in Portland, who exactly does their regular shopping at New Seasons. The produce selection isn’t vast, but their mushroom selection is probably the best in town. The other produce is hit or miss, and about twice as expensive as it should be. But, given the weekly sales, you can get some fresh normal priced stuff. The baked good selection is quite good, as well, and not as exorbitant as I expected. They also have tiny portions of various cheeses, at very reasonable prices. The prepared food section is surprisingly small, but there is a killer tofu salad roll from Bui Natural Tofu. The wine and beer selections are a bit small, but you probably have to be drunk already before paying this much for groceries.

I don’t use this store as my main grocery store, but I do shop here for all my meats and some specialty items. The meat counter is always well stocked, friendly and clean. The rest of store seems to be very well stocked, as they’re never out of an item I’m looking for.
I did initially live closer to the Progress Ridge location, and became quite spoiled by their massive size and selection. This Raleigh Hills location definitely feels like quite the downgrade, since they don’t carry beer on tap here and their prepared food section is less than half the size (what, no breakfast burritos?!)
That being said, I’ve always received great customer service, experienced short lines and will continue to visit this store regularly.

Great deli department! I stopped by to get a sandwich and the staff was friendly and helpful. I had a gr8 sandwich on a hoagie roll with all sorta of great fix-​ins, very happy place to find delicious food!

The Basic wok increased $ 1 in price.
I’m a fan of the woks, salad bar, and daily soups. I’m sure you will too. Excellent. Everything else is pretty price but better variety of quality.

The cheerful riot of flowers has to be the loveliest entrance to a grocery store I’ve ever seen (or else I don’t get out enough to make an exhaustive review of grocery store entrances). Just when you thought that couldn’t be topped, you’re greeted just inside the front door by nice people handing out several tasty samples. Homer Simpson and family would be very happy to have their full Sunday after-​church lunch here at this counter.
When I visited at lunchtime, it was crowded, but the staff was very helpful and friendly, and all the other customers seemed to accept and expect the crowding and didn’t seem to let it bother them. Checkout was handled very well and I was out in a decent amount of time.
I don’t usually make side trips to such markets as New Seasons, Zupans, or Whole Foods save for specialty foods that can’t be found at my usual haunts or for a really good sale. No matter how much or little I shop at these stores, my visit to New Seasons today will likely encourage me to return in the future.
