At DYAD Fitness we specialize in health and fitness for those over 40, and seniors. DYAD Fitness promotes the development of skeletal and muscular strength, functional athletic speed, and power at any age whether you are 40 years old, or 80.
DYAD Fitness promotes muscular balance, body alignment, joint stability, ease of movement, and posture through multidimensional retraining of muscles in their proper functional length, while unlearning dysfunctional movement patterns.
History
Established in 2014.
Dyad Fitness was established in 2014. We started operating out of the Portland Athletic Club. But after a year, we decided we could best serve our clients in our own private studio located in the Raleigh Hills neighborhood.
Meet the Business Owner
Bob S.
Business Owner
Bob’s focus and specialty is on strength and power. His training methods are based upon traditional strength training protocols/techniques, power lifting, Olympic lifting, and proven scientific studies to increase athletic performance, especially in older adults, ages 50, 60, and even 70 and up. He combines different exercises using weights, bodyweight or gymnastics, and cardio protocols and modalities in order to provide variety and achieve maximal strength and performance gains, while providing safe and long-term results. Bob’s clients have ranged in age from 13 – 85 y/o, and usually become long-term regular weekly clients.
Bob’s most popular bootcamp is designed around an AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible), or a self-paced, scalable, circuit. His circuit bootcamp focuses on bodyweight strength training, the use of weights and other equipment, speed and agility, and functional movement.
