Mimosa Nail Bar

This place is a great deal! $ 20 pedicure and they offered me a mimosa with it. They have a whole menu of other pedicures too but I was in a rush so I went for the quick one. It came out great! Everyone working there seemed really nice and the whole experience was relaxing.
I caught the beginning and the tail end of two separate bachelorette parties and that looked fun too.
Oh, and there was no wait!

Awesome salon. Friendly but what caught my attention was their gratitude for your business. Great pedicure!

Six of us went for pedicures prior to our annual Vegas trip. They accommodated all of us at the same time — stellar! We did make a reservation. What’s better than a pedicure, foot massage, and a mimosa? Well there is one thing, but I’ll try to keep this review family friendly.

Amazing! Beautiful colors, kind people, yummy white wine, super nice new massage chairs… I’m writing this at 743 and they close at 7 normally. It’s my second time here and I’ll be back again.

I live in the neighborhood and I usually go to Mani Pedi Salon about two blocks away, but went here instead because my normal place was crowded. I now know why this place wasn’t busy…
Started off fine, really good shellac color selection, quick service. However, about half way through another employee starting standing really close to my manicurist and spent the rest of time chatting with my manicurist in another language, so I couldn’t understand. This other employee was playing on her phone, and showing my manicurist things on her phone, so my manicurist by the end seemed to be only half paying attention to me and half chatting with this other person and looking at her phone. Literally looking at the phone was applying something to my nails. Very unprofessional!
The quality of the work was more poor that the other salons in the area, it was messier (maybe because she wasn’t fully paying attention?). Also, they charge an extra $ 1 if you use credit card, and even if you can pay cash it’s still a $ 1 more than other nearby salons for worse service. Why would I ever go back when there are so many other options on 21^st Ave?

Came across this place while on vacation. Wonderful nail salon! Wish I lived here so I could use it all the time. Great service and wonderful mani/​pedi!

They are adorable here! Seriously I have hosted both a baby shower and birthday here and they make it so easy. Custom slide show, fun music, decent treats and mimosas. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than other places, but if you want to not have to get your house dirty and have everyone pay their own way, this is the way to go.

Always so friendly and they have lots of choices for your mani or pedi! I would recommend this to my friends. We will be back for my sisters bachelorette party!

I can’t recommend this place enough! I have never felt so pampered in my life. My friend and I didn’t have a wait for our appointment and, because we got a manicure and pedicure, they worked on our hands and toes at the same time. And it was really reasonably priced! I can’t wait to come back.

Well I didn’t end up bleeding like I did at the last nail place I went to. This was not much better. My nails kook like $#!+ ! The mimosa Margareta was good but. My nails are streaky and not even. I can see my nail through the Polish around the edges. Some other weird stuff and unexplained things happened also. Mysterious happenings.

Mimosa has unfortunately been going down hill. I used to go there (and drive an hour happily to do so) for the best manicures and polish changes. Recently I haven’t been able to get a shellac manicure to stay even a few days looking nice. Today I left disappointed and ready to find a new spot. Bummer!

Amy and her team were so great. We had 12 girls in our group and it was a perfect bachelorette party with everyone drinking mimosas and getting their nails done. The slideshow on the screen was a cute touch as well. It was a bit pricey but I appreciated the extra effort and for them to handle so many of us easily.

This is my favorite nail place on the planet!!! The staff is so friendly and always willing to accommodate. I have been going to them for years now and won’t be switching any time soon! Highly recommend it!

The ladies at the Mimosa Nail Bar were by far the best that I have found in Portland. I was AMAZED.
My girlfriends booked room for 5 of us for my birthday. The Salon isn’t extremely large so we were mixed in with the other guests (which was totally fine). Right when we walked in, there was cameras and mimosa in my hand and a cupcake. They sang and took photos of my friends and I and were SO KIND. I was amazed at the generosity and the warmth of these women.
We got Manicures and Pedicures, and both turned out perfect. They didn’t rush or pushed us into getting a package we didn’t want. The space, people and product all are 5 stars. We will be returning as soon as my nails need another mani.

Yesterday was a friends birthday so a group of us girls went here to get our nails done. We made the appointment before going and told them that it was for a birthday. When we got there, there was a cute display for the birthday girl including fruit and cupcakes! One of the ladies took a bunch of pictures of us and the birthday girl. Then she plugged her camera into the tv and played a slideshow of the pictures they just took. It was great!
We all got the deluxe pedicure which included the hot wax. Some of the girls got the shellac manicure which looked really good! They were able to do their manicure while getting their pedicures done which made it pretty quick.
Our group of girl friends are planning on going back for all of our birthdays!

For some reason I expected it might have a bigger ‘bar’ feel to it with all of the photos and stories I’d heard of friends getting cocktails here. Instead, it felt like a typical nail salon.
The one benefit was the manicure station was a long bar with bar seats — this allowed me and my friend to get our manicures right next to each other, instead of at different stations. It was easy to chat with one another as we got our nails done — which was perfect.
I had never gotten a french mani before so I picked a color I wanted my nails to be (a creamy, neutral essie shade) and said I wanted white tips. Being a gel/​acrylic mani I knew it would look really slick. They said the color I chose wasn’t the right consistency or … something, and helpfully picked another color for me that was close. Way better than struggling to paint through a bad bottle of polish, which other stylists have tried in the past at other places.
My nails came out beautifully with the white tips looking just right. Everyone was very friendly and careful and made sure our nails looked good — and looked the way we wanted them to look. I would definitely go back here again.

— It’s literally a bar you sit at to get your manicure done. It’s a great setup if you have friends, as you can literally sit next to each other and chat.
— Cheap manicure $ 13
Dislikes:
— Being asked 3 times when I entered «pedicure?» When I said to each person I wanted a manicure. I get you’re trying to sell services but one also needs to listen.
— The woman that did my nails completely missed ¹⁄₈ of the side of 2 nails and I had to instruct her to put more polish on.
Overall, I can see myself returning for future manis for the price. One just has to be ready to monitor throughout the duration to ensure they’re polishing the ENTIRE nail.

This is a pretty good place to get your nails done in Northwest. The owner is super friendly and the prices are fair!
Cons: the music on the TV is always exactly the same which starts melting your mind after a while. The TV show is also always the same mindless game show replays which is highly unpleasant. Pricing on the signage is inconsistent (they contradict each other).

I quote my friends who went in for a reservation of a party of 10 for a bridal nail experience.
1. They didn’t give complementary mimosas and charged $ 7 for a glass
2. My friends wanted group pictures and were ‘encouraged’ by the staff to hold the mimosas for photos but was told not drink them if you didn’t buy them. I’m guessing after everyone has breathed on the mimosas it’ll be sold to the next unsuspecting client who wants one.
3. One of my friends was charged $ 25 for clear nail polish application.
4. Another one of my friends who’s family own a nail shop said the manicures were pretty poorly done. Very unevenly applied.
After hearing these things I’m staying away from this place. Doesn’t sound friendly or relaxing at all.

Sometimes it’s just not possible to be charitable and folks sometimes just earn a one star review. Y’all here at Mimosa outdid yourselves. I showed up on time for my pedicure appointment. But here’s the thing: if I show up on time for my appointment, please don’t park my ass in a chair and let me soak and quietly simmer while you completely ignore me for the next 15 minutes.
I would have appreciated it if you’d offered me a beverage or something while I waited for my appointment to finally begin. And for a Mimosa bar, I think it’s quite unfortunate that you ran out of champagne. Are you folks for real?
You know what else? I know for a fact that the gal working on my feet was not a mute because I actually heard her speak to her colleagues. She did not utter a single word while working with me. No hello, no sorry to keep you waiting, no I’ll be right back when she ran off and disappeared for 20 minutes and never came back. It was simply weird.
Thankfully with the assistance of Unilocal I placed a call to CT Nails down the street, secured an appointment and swiftly left your chair. I’m here now getting my toes done, without waiting, with champagne, oh and with a person that speaks to me.
I came to Mimosa today on a whim but I won’t make that mistake again. Oy!
