Bellini’s Spa

Got a facial here & was carded every time I tried to buy a drink for the next week. I’ll call that a win. Immediately rebooked for a tune up in 4 months. Sherri (sp?) was awesome. Recommended products for me & but not in a pushy sales way. Sound reasoning. I didn’t buy anything but left with lots of samples. And whaddaya know — I noticed a difference as soon as I ran out.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I felt compelled to leave this business a review.
I have been working with Bellinis, on and off again, for about a year. I’ve had three different aestheticians at Bellinis, unfortunately, the first two left, and so now I’m working with Enzi.
Anyways, the past couple of weeks, my face had been really red and angry, let me just emphasize RED and ANGRY. I couldn’t figure out what it was — windburn? Psoriasis? Eczema? Candida? I went down the Google rabbit hole and freaked myself out with horrible skin diseases that don’t have cures. Finally, after slathering my face in Aquaphor, aloe vera, and calendula cream, I gave up and decided to call Bellinis.
I explained to them what was happening, how stressed I was about it, how my face HURT from the irritation, and I need to get in quickly — even 10 minutes, so someone could look at my skin and tell me what was wrong. Immediately, the receptionist was friendly, understanding, and empathetic. They got me in immediately, and even gave me some suggestions as to what I should do.
Finally, I was able to get in, and the attention they gave me was unbelievable. The owner herself sat with me and looked at my skin, Enzi came in and sat with me to look through all the products I’ve been using, and to take a closer look at my skin, and my diet, and any new products I’d been using. After about 5 minutes, they let me know I was having an allergic reaction, and they whittled it down to my shampoo.
They gave me some light therapy, and a mask, and then gave me some new oils to try (Emu oil!!!), some vitamins, some probiotics, and things to cut out of my diet until my allergic reaction is over. Anyways, I went home, slightly skeptical, since I’ve never had an allergic reaction, but nonetheless, diligent with their orders.
Two days later, TWO DAYS, my skin is BACK TO NORMAL!!! I’ve been trying different things for weeks, and after TWO days of their suggestions, my skin is back to normal. I can’t believe it. I can’t explain my gratitude at the help these ladies have given me.
Is Bellinis pricey? ABSOLUTELY. Is it worth every penny? ABSOLUTELY. I am a devoted customer now, and I will keep coming back to Enzi and the rest of the Bellini team as long as they are open. They know what they’re talking about, they are nice, they are caring, and they have your (skins) best interest at heart.
Final point is — go. Make sure you go, because they are amazing, and they will make your skin sing with happiness.

Enzi is amazing! I have been on a quest to search for a dermatologist-​list esthetician and have finally found one (recommended by my dermatologist) so I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been struggling with major pore cloggage that started along my jawline and she’s the first pro to be able to effectively, albeit gently, attack those. After one treatment, the ones that had been lingering (and ones I didn’t even know I had) were GONE! I just had a new, little one pop up during my cycle and texted her about it — the next thing I knew, I was lying under her magnifying light getting treated. Again, GONE. I feel like I have a new skin-​partner :-).

Excellent salon. Sonia gives a terrific facial. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this salon.

My skin gets angry if I don’t see Enzi for a facial regularly. My skin glows after she works her magic. I love that they have Yonka reps onsite occasionally and that they have routine product sales too. Get on their email mailing list, and you’ll be notified on surprise 15% facial days!

I have visited Bellini’s on multiple occasions… I love the services and products and the skincare professionals are knowledgeable in their products lines and what works best for my skin… The spa is peaceful and serene and they offer competitive priced services.

I don’t get facials for relaxation, I get them because they keep me on track to having healthy skin as I get older (and older, and older…).
Side note: I am legally deaf and claustrophobic, so a bit of a nightmare client as I get nervous if my eyes are covered, doors are closed – can’t hear, can’t see, can’t keep calm.
My experience at Bellini’s was so different than any facial treatment I’ve ever had before. Jenna is amazing. Patient. Inquisitive. Calming. Thorough. Sonia is a absolute doll. No fakery. Honest questions. Straight forward answers.
No product pushing, just full awareness of what was used and why. Suggestions were given about when to plan my next appointment, but no pressure to book straight away (I did, fwiw).
As a new transplant to Portland (from the Bay Area, via Stockholm) I am beyond relieved to have found a place to help care for my skin.

I have been going to Bellini’s for about four years now and love it. I get my facials and waxing done there. I have seen several different estheticians and they have all done an excellent job. They are all very knowledgeable and I love how amazing my face looks with their help. I love all of the skincare lines they carry, but my favorite is Yonka and they always have what I need! I highly recommend trying Bellini’s, you will not be disappointed :)

Very helpful and accommodating staff. Enzi is very knowledgable. going above and beyond to help me. I trust her with my skin %100. I am now a returning customer. I feel so rejuvenated.

Not much room for improvement. My facial with Janna was like a 10 scoop fudge Sunday from salt and straw. I enjoyed each scoop separately especially the hand and foot massage and I left looking good not the red irritated face that you sometimes have after a facial and I have very sensitive skin. Definitely recommend it. Worth the money but a little pricey. If it were a little less I would do it more often than Mothers Day.

I love the deluxe facials here. Sonya is magical at extractions! I have sensitive skin and she always knows just what is best.

I had a great experience. I will come back if I have a chance:) Parking around here is not convenient at all. Be sure to leave some time to find parking spots.

I have been going to Bellini for over a decade. Janna has been doing my facials and shaping and tinting my brows (they lost a lot of color after chemo more than a decade ago). Janna is gentle, thorough, warm, knowledgable, and professional — without exception. I highly recommend this spa if you want professional, clean, exacting treatments that do what they promise. They have had low staff turnover which has been great, because when I come I feel welcomed and comfortable.

My first time getting a facial (I’m a dude). Went to Bellini’s with a cousin who liked it. I don’t think I was properly prepared for the ‘extraction’ phase, which had some painful moments. I generally liked the various lotions and mask and massage. I googled afterwards and extractions are a debated issue in the spa world, so I may try a facial again somewhere that doesn’t do them.

I’ve been going to Bellini’s for facials with Sonia for about 7 years now.
Up front, let me just say that I don’t get facials to relax. The reason I get facials is because I want my skin to look its best (now and forever), so I want an aesthetician who does whatever is necessary to achieve that result. Now, even though I don’t go to Bellini’s to relax, don’t let me give you the idea that facials aren’t relaxing at Bellini’s. I’m always super comfortable and relaxed there. They put lotion on your hands and feet and then put hand and foot warmers on to keep you feeling cozy. They also play really relaxing music. When Sonia massages my face, it feels incredible. However, I care way more about how awesome my skin looks thanks to Sonia!
Sonia’s facials are amazing, but she is also very good at recommending the right home care to keep your skin looking radiant. I don’t believe that recommending specific skin care products for home use is being pushy as some other reviews have indicated. If you can’t afford the products, then it is perfectly ok not to buy them. You don’t have to be embarrassed about it. In fact, Sonia can usually recommend some other things you can do that aren’t expensive to help your skin stay healthy without the use of the fabulous products. Please don’t get mad at someone for suggesting a product to make your skin look better when that’s the entire point of getting facials in the first place!
Sonia is very thorough. She really takes the time to inspect your skin and talk to you about it, and then thoughtfully customizes each facial based on what is going on with your skin. She really gets your skin clean and balanced, and does an awesome job with extractions. This is the kind of stuff that is usually severely lacking when I’ve had facials elsewhere. Are extractions relaxing? No. Do they make your skin look 10x better? Yes. I’m willing to put up with 2 – 3 minutes of uncomfortable extractions to have amazing looking skin for the next 2 months.
The other thing I should point out about Sonia is that she has a great deal of knowledge about how your lifestyle (nutrition, etc.) impacts your skin, and she has made some very useful recommendations to me that have helped my skin a lot over the past few years. Whenever something about my lifestyle changes (going on the pill, eating vegetarian, dealing with a lot of stress), Sonia is always able to balance my skin and recommend things that I can do at home to help keep it balanced. I really appreciate that!
Several reviews included complaints about the difficulty of getting an appointment. Yes, it can be difficult to get an appointment with less than a week’s notice, particularly if you’re picky about the day/​time. However, Sonia can always get me in with less than a week’s notice as long as I’m flexible about the day/​time. If I call more than a week in advance, I never have difficulty getting an appointment at one of my desired times. In general, when you want to get in with the best, you need to plan ahead. It’s no different from making a reservation at a nice restaurant. You wouldn’t wait until the last minute to do that.
Bottom line: if you want your skin to look great, get a facial with Sonia and follow her recommendations for home care. If you want to relax for 60 – 90 minutes and continue to have wrinkles and zits, then go somewhere else.

Used to love this place but Kim is gone now. I just went a week ago and was informed that she had left. Huge loss for them as you can tell from all her great reviews below.
However, I believe Kate is still there. She’s great and does facials as well as waxes. It’s one the only place I’ll go for that in Portland, and they can usually always get you in last minute. Facials and body wraps you have to schedule in advance though.

Went there on a Groupon & everything was an upgrade! During the facial the esthetican talked the whole time (not relaxing). Then when done it felt like I was in a used car dealership with all the product sales talk! Yuk! I don’t plan on returning!

I received a Groupon to this place as a gift from visitors I had over the summer. I didn’t get around to using it until right before it expired and was really nervous that I wouldn’t get in. I echo the other reviews where it was challenging to book an appointment but I was able to be squeezed before it expired. (Note: there are a number of business who do Groupons who will honor the Groupon after the expiry date, as long as you make the appointment before it expires. Bellini’s doesn’t do this but they really should – it would help them with reviews and it’s a nice thing to do, IMHO)
I’m embarrassed to say that I can’t remember the name of my esthetician (I think it was Alyssa? :-$) but she was great! She was really sweet and did a good job. I can’t remember the name of the body wrap I got (I was booked for one and then a few days before my appointment they called me because that wrap was no longer available) but it was something with sea salt and detox. It was pretty amazing. My skin felt ridiculously soft afterwards and moisturized. I ended up buying the shower gel and face cream that was used during my treatment (and boy did they cost a pretty penny) but gotta take care of the skin I’m in!
The spa overall is pretty spendy and I’m not sure if I would go back without some sort of deal. So if you see a Groupon or Living Social deal for them, buy it, but be sure to book your appointment in advance!

I found this spa through Groupon and used it for a facial. It had been a LONG time since I had a facial so there was quite a bit of work to be done. My esthetician, Kim, was totally awesome. She knew her stuff and made my skin gorgeous. I felt pampered and well treated.
The whole entire experience was very enjoyable. The facial I got was quite expensive for my particular wallet so I was happy I was able to use the Groupon.

I’d give this place 5 stars for my massage therapist Chris, but it loses one for the reception experience. I discovered this place thanks to a Groupon I purchased and actually had forgotten about, from last winter. It was a nice surprise to realize I had a certificate available for an hour massage, and I sorely needed one, pun intended. The first problem was getting through to anybody. There were at least three voicemails over the course of two weeks (two from me, one from Bellini’s) before contact could be made. I was calling during normal business hours, so had I been a regular «paying» customer, and not someone with a certificate in hand, I probably wouldn’t have pursued this place after the first unanswered voicemail message I left.
The deep tissue massage with Chris was the best massage I’ve had in years. This guy knows what he’s doing. He has healing hands and a very soothing manner. He is the only massage therapist I would choose. I just returned from my second visit with Chris and it was as good as the first.
There was a different receptionist, and when I mentioned the 10% discount I was offered at the end of my first visit, she hesitated, looked in the book and said there was no mention of it, and she questioned me about it. I told her the other gal had said it was for rebooking.
The one hour massage is $ 90, which I feel is excessive. I came back as a treat to myself, before I start a new job. This is not something I would want to do on a regular basis, at that price. As good as Chris is, that is a premium price. He and the receptionist offered me buy three and get a fourth massage free, and that makes it a better deal, but still too expensive for my budget. I see myself going there once every other month or so, as a treat. Thanks to Chris, and Chris alone!
