We had an excellent experience with Darcie, Hillary, and the whole team. They not only helped us sell our house within a week of listing, they also got us well over our asking price. We were so ecstatic! They also helped us find our new home. We had all the normal anxieties in buying a new home but we felt so supported by them in all of our decisions. We never felt like we were in this alone which is so nice when making such a large purchase. Even though the purchase of the new house was complicated due to a lien, they kept us posted on updates as well as helped us negotiate a rent back agreement with the new owners of our home until we could move. What could have been an extremely stressful time in our lives is remembered as a very positive experience and we thank them for that!

Darcie helped us find our first home, and as a first-​time homebuyer, I had many questions and worries. She seemed to always be one step ahead and offered a variety of solutions or scenarios to anything that arose. Overall, the process felt smooth and easy, and, except for the waiting, very low stress. I have already recommended Darcie to several people, and can’t say enough how much we appreciate her professionalism, knowledge, and personable demeanor.

I cannot recommend Darcie and Hilary highly enough. Our house was not easy to sell, and needed a lot of extra work to get it ready for the market and through the process. Add to all that, we were on a tight deadline. By some incredible miracle and lots of hard work, our house was sold at a good price and right on time — and through all of it, Darcie and Hilary stayed in touch, responded quickly to all questions, and kept up a cheerful, optimistic demeanor. Their photographer was great, their advice was spot-​on, and they took all the sting and ugliness out of the whole process of selling a house. I could write pages and pages about how awesome they are but you get the idea… five stars isn’t enough!

First off let me start by saying, I have not had the best experiences with realtors. My wife found Darcie on Unilocal and was impressed by the reviews. All I can say is working with Darcie and Hilary has been the best experience Realestate EVER! We have bought and sold 6 properties in the last 10 years (We move a lot!), Darcie and Hilary are the best realtors we have ever had!!! This particular move was unexpected and required us leaving the state just before our house went on the market. They kept us updated constantly and were seamlessly available to us by text, e-​mail and phone whenever we had a question. The sale was not an easy one and they provided us with calculated honest information every step of the way. They even helped us explore the option of renting when we were getting antsy even though it meant taking the house off the market. I could go on and on. All I have to say is if you are in the market to sell your house go with Darcie and Hilary!

My husband and I enlisted Hilary and Darcie to sell our first home and also to purchase a new one. In the current Portland housing market most know that buying and selling at the same time can be a challenge. Upon meeting with Hilary and Darcie for the first time we described to them what we were looking for in a house and the first listing they sent us was our dream home (sounds too good to be true right). We went to look at the house on a Friday night after work and decided we wanted to put an offer in, so they stayed up until past midnight that night to get the offer in as early as possible. With much guidance and work on Hilary and Darcie’s part our contingent offer was accepted but we had to sell our house in about a weeks time as part of the agreement. To accomplish this it took some more late nights but Hilary and Darcie’s hard work and expertise made it happen. I can honestly say that if we did not have them as our realtors this deal would not have happened. They are great to work with, extremely knowledgeable, positive and organized. The fact that they work as a team made it very easy to get a hold of one of them at all times for any questions that arose throughout the process. I cannot say enough good things about these lovely ladies and would highly recommend them.

I loved working with both Darcie and Hillary! When we started the house hunting process I was pretty novice about the whole thing. Darcie and Hilary both helped me narrow down what I was looking for in my dream home. While looking at houses they would objectively compare the house to the list of what I was looking for and would give their opinions on whether or not the house sounded like a good fit. I like this quality in a team I am working with because it shows that they care about finding the right house for me and I can trust their opinions.
After finding the house they helped me through all of the paperwork, inspections and everything that I needed to do in order to purchase the house. I have never been happier in a home and will forever be grateful for all of their help!

We (my son, daughter-​in-​law, and myself, shopping from another state) had an excellent experience with Hilary and Darcie. We were trying to buy a home in the early months of 2015, at a time when the market was swinging sharply upwards, and our search was complicated by the fact that we had a fairly rigid (and lowish) price ceiling. Also, I was shopping from 500 miles away, and had only bought one home before, 27 years ago! So we needed all the help we could get.
Because the market was so difficult, we all learned together. We made offers on 7 homes over 6 or 7 months before our bid was the winning one, tweaking our strategy a bit with each new offer. But Hilary and Darcie hung in there with us even when we almost gave up, and did a huge amount of legwork for each and every offer.
Once our offer was accepted, they were amazing at organizing all of the inspections and the appraisal, especially given the fact that I had to fly in for these and they all needed to be done in one day, AND we had 10 days to schedule everything, including my flights.
They helped us hugely with the process of renegotiating after the inspections were done, and never stopped until after we closed. The day we took possession Hilary met us at the house with a bottle of champagne and glasses, which seemed ever so appropriate.
Hilary and Darcie are very personable and knowledgable, and each has a bit different take on the homes and the market, so we gained a lot by talking to both of them. It is very rare that both of them are unavailable, even on weekends, holidays, evenings, and by phone, text, –mail — you name it.
If I can ever afford to buy another house in Portland they will be my team.

Darcie and Hilary stuck with us over a year and half of house hunting in the tight Portland market. We knew that we were not their most lucrative clients, but that never stopped them from giving us their fullest attention and best service. Thorough in every possible way, and honest when we didn’t want to hear the truth, we finally ended up with our dream house thanks to the diligence of these two ladies. The icing on the cake? After we closed, we learned that they donate a portion of their commission to a local charity of our choice.

I found Hilary and Darcie through the recommendation of a friend who had bought a home with them after I was having a very difficult time with my realtor, who wasn’t timely in returning phone calls and emails. I had an incredible experience with them. The first week I met them, I found a home I wanted to buy that was new construction and we went into contract. Over the upcoming 7 months, they helped me work through the long and often winding process of negotiating with the builder, who was letting me customize items. They were always timely, pleasant, warm, organized and gave good advice, even if it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to hear. They always had my best interest in mind and advised me from that perspective. I am now the homeowner of a beautiful new house, and though the process was very bumpy to get here (due to building and bank issues), Hilary and Darcie did their best to make the ride as smooth as possible despite the obstacles in our way and I really appreciate it. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a realtor.

Darcie and Hillary were a huge asset in buying our first house! We had no idea of how the buying process worked except for you go and look at homes. We’re really glad we had their expertise. There was a lot of stuff involved that we would have been very lost if not for them. Not knowing anything, we had lots of questions and they were always very accessible. They work closely as a team so if one of them is busy you can get help from the other. If something came up and we had a question we would send out an e-​mail or call and we didn’t have to wait long for an answer. It was really surprised me how attentive they are. It was great! They made it painless and straight forward. They are very knowledgable and provide resources when needed.
We ended up having to move quickly with closing on a house and they really came through for that process.
Now, we’re in an amazing home thanks to them!

Darcie was our buying agent back in 2010 and our selling agent (along with Hilary) in 2014. They are courteous, professional, attentive to detail, very knowledgable about the Portland housing market, etc. The advantage of working with them is their partnership, which allows one or both to be present throughout the process.
Both ladies do their homework and come prepared with the answers and ability to help you proceed through the real estate transaction. They are NOT pushy or terse with you and totally understand that buying/​selling a house can be a stressful experience. Really, this should be a one-​liner review, because they really are some of the best professionals (real estate, or otherwise) I have worked with. Ever.
However, if you’re reading this you’re thinking about making a major financial decision, and will probably want a bit more substance to a review.
What makes them so amazing?
A little background: We contacted Darcie and Hilary in order to purchase a home in Portland, but were living out of state. They got back to us very quickly, listened to what we were looking for and immediately set to working with us by sending us well-​edited listings. That, in and of itself, was impressive because we contacted several other (highly reviewed) real estate professionals in Portland who basically reacted as if they could not be bothered to actually do any work. Times are good for agents these days, and more than one gave us the «I don’t think you’re important enough for me to pay attention to you» vibe. Not Hilary and Darcie. Although I’m sure they are insanely busy, they were right there to try to help us purchase a home from the get-​go.
The Portland housing market, as is much of the West Coast, is blazing hot currently, meaning there is no time to waste if you are interested in a property. We were interested in a condo, called Darcie at 10:45 AM to enquire about it. She found out from the listing agent that offers were being reviewed at noon the same day and got our offer to the seller within an hour and 15 minutes. Literally.
Hilary arranged to meet us on what is normally her day off to see the property once we were able to get to Portland (yes, we placed an offer on a place we had not seen. Thankfully, we love it!)
We ran into some snags with the underwriters of our loan which created delays in closing. Hilary and Darcie were right there helping us to resolve some problems along the way, including slimy moves from the seller/seller’s agent. They gave us advice when we asked for it and were able to answer all of our questions quickly and clearly. Not once did we feel that we were not their absolute priority. I am certain every other client working with them simultaneously felt the same way.
Buying and selling a home is a business transaction– that’s it. But it’s a transaction during which we entrust our property/​cash/​future financial wellbeing/​family home, into the hands of complete strangers. Most of us have no knowledge of the ins and outs of real estate law. Even if you do, the market moves so quickly now that major financial decisions have to be made in a matter of hours. You have to be able to trust your agent. I have had the opportunity of working with several agents in the last decade, and at some point during the transaction, I would ask myself if they really had my best interest at heart. Usually, the answer was no – which is ok as long as your interest and their interest align. At no time did I wonder whether Hilary or Darcie might put their business interest in front of ours. They very clearly prioritize ethical and good behavior before making a buck. This doesn’t mean they aren’t very good at the business side of real estate, but that you can actually trust them to care for your best interest and to take your investment very seriously.

When we had issues that needed to be resolved with the seller, they followed up and made sure they got taken care of.
Some people think that choosing a realtor is just about trust, but it’s also about expertise. One without the other is worthless. Thankfully Hilary and Darcie are experts that are completely trustworthy. Any little thing can derail a real estate transaction; put an offer in too late, miss an important document, poor communication with the mortgage broker. Working with them we never worried about any of this.
Not only did we benefit from their wisdom and experience, choosing the PDX Green team also gave us access to their carefully curated list of contacts (home inspector, radon guy, ant guy, electrician, etc.). We found this community of resources every bit as excellent.
Beyond being great realtors, Hilary and Darcie are both amazing people. I’ve been blessed to be friends with both them for years, but working closely with them on the purchase of our house I got to see even more of their character and integrity. Plus they’re both just fun to be around.
If you think you know all you need about real estate and are just going to go and do your own thing, it really doesn’t matter what realtor you choose. If you want the best team in town working along side you to help make your dreams a reality… look no further.

Darcie is hands down the best agent in Portland. We put my home on the market and in 1.5 days, had a full price offer. She is patient, knowledgeable and really great to work with during what can be such a stressful time! Darcie will keep you fully informed each step of the way. She is honest, fair and has no issue standing up for you should she need to. I was able to sit back and know that I was in good hands. Her modern way of doing business made it so easy for a busy working mom like me!

Working with Darcie and Hilary made my first home-​buying experience a great one. As a first-​time home buyer, I was totally clueless and had tons of questions about the steps in the process. Darcie and Hilary were always happy to walk me through terminology and options along the way, making my home purchase a breeze. Throughout the entire process, they were frequently checking in with me to make sure I felt comfortable and see if I needed anything. They are both extremely professional and always quickly responded to my emails and calls. I would highly recommend them both to anyone!

I’m not a fan of super long Unilocal reviews for any business, but if anyone is worthy of grandiose, verbose praise its Hilary and Darcie (though it’s not my style so this is still gonna be succinct). My wife and I have purchased two houses in Portland over the past 5 years and we cannot thank them enough for the support and guidance they’ve given us — and believe me, we haven’t been the easiest people to work with due to crazy schedules (which Hil & Darcie accommodated graciously) and a long list of criteria for the right house.
Finding the second house took way longer than we expected and included bids on 7 or 8 houses, getting a house but walking away after the inspection, taking long breaks in the search for various reasons — yet Hilary and Darcie never let us lose hope, never pressured us, and were never put off when we’d randomly ask them to see a house the next day. For those reasons, and many more that I’m can’t cover in enough detail to do them justice, we know we’ll never use anyone else for buying and selling real estate.

We have another glowing review for Darcie and Hilary (PDX Green Team). We relied on Unilocal to help us select a good realtor and we decided to reach out to Darcie and the PDX Green Team. To sum it up: they delivered. We relocated from out of state so the entire transaction was pretty much done remotely.
Darcie worked with us over the phone and email and helped design a whirlwind day of home tours where my wife flew in to town and looked at a bunch of houses until we found one that worked for our needs. They took videos of the house we ended up purchasing so I could take a look since I had to stay where I was.
Darcie and Hilary held our hands through the whole process, provided great feedback during negotiations, kept track of all of those details that are hard to keep track of and ensured the seller came through. When we needed vendor recommendations, they came through with great suggestions. They basically let us focus on getting the financing in order and we never had to worry about anything else. Hilary sat in the car with my three year old while he took a nap so we could complete our escrow signing with no distractions!

We purchased our home last January and I cannot say enough good things about the PDX Green Team. When we looked for a real estate agent I looked here on Unilocal and found that they had great reviews so we gave them a call. It is hard to just pick an agent since there are so many to choose from so I found these reviews very helpful and I can agree that they are the best.
This was our second home purchase, so we have been through the process before and I can definitely say that the PDX Green Team made it so much easier than the first one!
