Christa Alexander, LPC

I have gone to Christa for therapy during the last two years. Her focus is on helping those who have suffered at the hands of narcissistic partners or parents. Because the behavior of narcissists is so extreme it is frequently difficult for others to believe the reality of the experience. Christa’s knowledge is quite thorough and her approach supportive and effective. I was initially hesitant but over time I came to trust both her professionalism and her genuine interest. Additionally, I was coming out of therapy with a different female therapist who had told me that «men are superfluous». Christa never exhibited this kind of gender bigotry. She goes out of her way to offer as much information and support as she possibly can. She readily provided information to additional services that I was in need of. She was impartial. Surprising how difficult it can be to find a therapist who is genuinely impartial. Christa openly acknowledged her Christian beliefs but in no way attempted to impose them upon me. She did a good job of seeing me as a human being, first and foremost. She also maintained excellent boundaries around not using my therapy time to discuss her own personal issues. Having unfortunately been through that previously it was very important to me that she behaved as she did. I would recommend Christa highly to anyone. In particular if you are trying to recover from being damaged by someone whom you suspect of narcissism Christa’s expertise in this area will help you.
