History

Established in 1989.

Ritual Adornments bead story began when husband/​wife owners Joel & Cece sold beads out of the trunk of their car in Westwood, CA and at a market on the asphalt at UCLA. Their keen eye for quality and rare beads became an obsession. After amassing a large inventory they opened up a Ritual Adornments Beads shop on Main Street in Santa Monica. The store was a hit among newbies, designers and A-​List celebrities and Ritual Adornment’s bead supplied many Hollywood costume designers including for Johnny Depp and cast in Pirates of the Caribbean, Lone Ranger, Lion King Musical and many more. Joel & Cece are local Portland, OR residents with their PDX bead store relocated to the Alphabet District of Portland.
