Established in 1990.
Dr. Schachter has been practicing optometry for 20 years and provides expert eye-health assessments using the latest technology. His staff is well trained and eager to provide the best eye-care experience you have ever had. We invite you to experience our first rate prescription analysis using Wavefront technology which helps determine your daytime and nighttime prescriptions. We are proud to be one of the first practices on the Central Coast that offers the Optomap imaging system as a part of our comprehensive eye-health exam. Dr. Schachter is also one of the few glaucoma-certified optometrists in California, and has at his disposal an array of diagnostic machines that help diagnose and monitor glaucoma, diabetic retinal disease, cataracts and other ocular health threats.

Dr. Schachter has been in practice since 1989. He attended the Southern California College of Optometry where he received the Homer A. Nielson Award for outstanding clinical skills. Dr. Schachter’s emphasis was in the area of «hard to fit» contact lens patients. He is one of just 9 worldwide FDA clinical investigators chosen to evaluate the latest «idealeyes» design. In 2010, he underwent LASIK.
