Accent Pruning

Our new house had a lovely yard that long had been neglected
with shrubs and fruit trees looking sad, a hedge downright dejected
we needed a real expert, someone to make the plants all thrive.
We found him! Jerry Miller helped the yard to come alive.
In all seriousness, from the first visit we knew that Jerry knows his stuff when it comes to plants. He identified our hedge as pittosporum silver sheen, and knew its strengths and weaknesses including all the diseases and pests it was suffering from. He gave us options for how to make it healthier, and how and when to prune it into a better shape. He even had more– and less-​artistic options to offer, everything from straightforward cutting-​back to various sophisticated topiary techniques.
He helped us stay in our budget despite it being a huge job, and let us know how we could continue his work ourselves using the right fertilizers, pruning and tucking branches, and mulching and irrigating. We plan to keep having him come twice a year until the hedge is fully recovered, and are looking forward to more advice about our fruit trees too!
