So last month when I closed escrow on my new crib in Jack London Square and received the keys, we found dark black smudges on the carpet in the bedroom, the previous residence just happened to be a bachelor. We said «What the heck is that!» I didn’t really want to know but I did know I wanted it cleaned.
So right after painting, second on the list was finding a carpet cleaner and if he couldn’t fix the carpet, replacing it. So I went on Unilocal to find a good carpet cleaner. This was a little stressing because the prices vary drastically from over $ 100 to a little under. I thought to myself «Does a more expensive price mean a better job?» And majority of Carpet Cleaners have less than 10 reviews from Unilocalers who have written less than 20 Unilocal themselves, and I usually don’t trust Unilocalers who have less than 100 reviews anyway because they are probably just trying to Unilocal their friend’s business (which is unethical Unilocaling in my opinion).
Finally I decided to call Jeff at East Bay Carpet Cleaning who is actually based in Jack London which put my mind at ease. He was real flexible with his schedule and gave me a great price. He came exactly the time we scheduled for and he buffed out all the smudges that bachelor left behind on the carpet, thus saving it from going to the carpet graveyard and Hell it was destined to be sent to.
So next time I need my carpet cleaned I know where to go. FYI, coming from a former professional bachelor myself leave your shoes at the door, you don’t have to be Chinese or Filipino to do it.

I knew of Jeff when I used to be a renter. My landlord used him to clean all carpets in the building. Jeff did an amazing job then so I decided to use his service at my new home. There are stairs and some hard to get to places. Jeff cleaned every inch thoroughly. One of the bedroom closet had carpets and there was another piece of carpet on top. Jeff cleaned both.
