Jerry from Hays Cooling & Heating recently worked on my heat pump. He was very knowlegable (20 years experience). I felt very confident that I was getting the «real» story about the problem I was experiencing with my heat pump. Plus, he was just a really great guy. Highly recommend.

The heat at my office wasn’t coming on, and my employees and customers were cold! When I first called Hays, they said they couldn’t get out until the next afternoon so I was going to check around to see if I could get someone out sooner. Hays called back a few minutes later to say a cancellation had opened up a time that same afternoon. It turns out they still weren’t able to make it that afternoon, but Mike was at my office promptly at 7:00 the next morning. He was police and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and clearly outlined my options. I was pleased with the service and will definitely call Hays again if I have any heating or air conditioning issues, either at my office or at my home.

We have used Hays for a number of years to service our A/​C unit on a service plan. Recently, Jerry, like all of the other technicians arrived promptly, was courteous, professional and quick.

This company is great. Our duct work needed partial replacement due to shoddy installation in the ‘1980s by the builder and crappy workmanship when my new heat pump was installed a few years back by a company that is no longer in business. Jim at Hays did a thorough job diagnosing and devising a remediation plan I could trust. Our system is now operating efficiently, and we’re looking forward to a much cooler summer!

Called to have my heater serviced just as the cooler temperatures began to really kick in. Jerry S. was our technician and he was prompt to get to work when he arrived. He arrived on time for the appointment. He did the general servicing of the unit as well as pointing out that the system could use an overhaul. Wasn’t pushing any upgrades to service that day but pointed out it would be good to get done. Now when the summer months roll around, I will definitely consider doing the overhaul and using Hay’s.

This company has met all expectations. There are no complaints here. Our heating and cooling system is working beautifully. Manny was just here and check on everything to make sure after a month all was going well and answered all questions that I had.

They came out within a few hours of calling. Manny was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and even empathetic to the situation. He had to work in pouring rain and never complained once. You gave me several options and let me choose the one that worked best for me. Really good company.

I can’t say enough about Mike S, he has been out help us on 3 visits within the last 3 weeks, all different issues. Very friendly, professional, and informative. The response I get from Lori is awesome also. Great business.

10 year old unit stopped working right before Christmas — YIKES! Jim from Hays came out and did a thorough inspection and gave me a few options. He is a real professional! Bob and Dan came out today and installed the new unit. They were excellent — cleaned up the mess and were done in record time. Bob spent time making sure I was completely satisified, which I am! Hays Cooling is excellent and I will call them when the other system on my house need to be replaced.
UPDATE — 1÷1÷16 — Manny came out to check the installation of the new unit. He was great! He hooked up our load controller on the new unit Hays installed as well as to the old one that was on the house when we bought it. I will be calling Hays when the old unit dies!

5 Star company and technicians. Was let down by my Home Warranty provider HSA (which by the way is useless) for the last time, and decided to go with some real professionals. I called and got an appointment within 4 hours, Manny came out and quickly identified the issues, went out of his way to try to talk with Home Warranty and finally got the issues fixed in no time, now we can stay warm for the winter. We have had nothing but good results from Hays and Mike S. further illustrated what appears to be their commitment to service on all fronts. Mike came out and checked our systems, including the individual units/​handlers and duct work. He explained everything professionally and never once pressured me to «fix» things that weren’t broken. He took pictures of the problems he found, fixed what he could today, and emailed me the final estimate for the remaining issues. This is our second visit from Hays. Hopefully we will have many years of satisfaction to come.

Manny from Hays Cooling and Heating did a follow up check on our new Variable Speed Trane AC unit. He did a checked the installation of unit and did thorough job. He went over the new thermostat and how to set it up via wifi and using our phone. He also discussed the Air Scrubber unit that I asked about. He did a great job. Very satisfied

OK… second post today praising Hays. I’m not an employee and do not get residuals (though I am willing to negotiate!). Frank M. came out today to do our annual furnace check up. Not the first time Frank has been here and that is nice to see. So many companies have a revolving door of employees and it speaks volumes to the kind of company Hays is here in the Valley.
Frank was quiet but thorough. He also took pains to make sure there were no fingerprints or debris around from his work area. He obviously cares about what he does and the impression he leaves. Hopefully we’ll see him again this spring when we have our A/​C unit checked.

Jerry S was our technician, and he was great and honest! This is our second time using Hays, and we are glad. The last company said we needed to change a part for $ 800 or it would likely break other items. Hays inspected it and said it was actually working properly. I also found out all their technicians work off hourly rates, NO COMMISSION it is such a relief to find a business you can trust!

I had Hays install a new A/​C unit in my home in June 2015. Everything went great. Had a minor issue with the install and the owner came out right away and got it all taken care of. He apologized for the mis-​step. Super nice guy. Biggest part of the whole transaction is that I had another Bigger A/​C firm come out and give me a quote as well. Hays did the same work for $ 1800 less than the competition!!! Thanks Hays!!!

Definitely a 5 star Company and Technician
I researched Hays cooling and heating on review sites in 2010 and called them to replace my aging Heat pump which was over 30 years old. They replaced the heat pump and the air handling system with a Trane system. I also had them install a Trane CleanEffects electronic air cleaner.
Recently the air cleaner started to present error codes which the owner’s manual service guide indicated was probably a faulty Field Charger. The unit was still under warranty for the part through Trane. I called Hays because they did a great job installing the whole system initially and they still have a 5 star rating on the rating sites. Mike S. came out within the time frame promised on Wed. Sept, 9^th, 2015. He diagnosed the issue as a faulty field charger and ordered the part. The office promptly called back 2 days later to schedule the follow up call for Tues Sept. 15^th to install the part. Mike was scheduled to arrive between 11 am and 1 pm. The office called shortly before 11 am and advised that Mike was running late on his current call and rescheduled for the 1 to 3 pm time frame. Mike arrived around 1 pm and installed the part and stayed about 20 minutes to make sure no errors would display and that the issue was fixed. The original trip call was waived and I was charged only labor which was very reasonable. Great Company, Great service, Great technician.

My AC stopped working last night, so I gave Hays a call first thing in the morning and they scheduled Steven T to come out to help. Steve is a friendly and knowledgeable guy. He explained what he’s looking at throughout the process so I understood what was going on. He was pretty quickly able to locate the real issue and replace a faulty switch. Unlike the tech from another company that came out last month for a similar issue, who just wanted to throw parts at it until it got going, obviously he didn’t get get everything.
The only thing that the scheduler from Hays could have been more clear about is that I would be charged a diagnostic fee ($ 80) AND an hour of labor ($ 90) to do anything else. So the 5 minutes to replace a switch that had to be checked as part of the diagnostic anyway, cost an hour of labor to replace. Would be better to have been told it’s $ 170 if the tech had to do anything more than come in and turn it on.
Either way, my house is now cool, Steve was great and the staff at Hays is extremely friendly and helpful!

We are about to make the biggest purchase since we bought this house over 2 yrs ago. Bill came out, what a nice guy (they were our 3^rd estimate). Bill took the time to explain everything, confirm and even told us other stuff which made more sense to what other providers didn’t/did tell us. Reading the reviews and searching for the best company we have chosen to use Hays. Stay tuned for the install review.
