Pescadero Creekside Barn

This place is so adorable. My boyfriend brought me here as a «get away» trip from the city and I will never forget this room. We arrived late evening and parked right in front of the barn. As we walked in, we were greeted by the most charming vintage-​styled room. There was a welcoming card on the dining table written by the owner along with some chocolate. I spent the first half hour going over every piece! I couldn’t get over it! :) We got excellent rest that night, absolute peace and quiet. No sound of cars or people. It was so refreshing.
The barn is located on a sleepy street with a few stores and houses. The next morning, we walked over to the bakery and brought back some delicious artichoke bread along with some local berries that were sold at a small farmer’s market. We opened the top half of the «barn door» (I don’t know its real name lol) and had our delicious breakfast along with some people watching. Pescadero Creekside Barn is a gem and I will always remember my wonderful visit.

After a couple delightful emails back and forth with the owner, we were given a key code that allowed us access to the loft without the need for an exchange of keys. This was nice since it allowed us to go right on in when we arrived in Pescadero as if we were returning home. As we walked up the charming private stairs it was becoming more and more apparent that we had made a great decision by choosing the Pescadero Creekside Barn. We entered our key code, opened the door, and we literally gasped. The simple, yet elegant beauty of this room takes your breath away and all you are able to do in the first half hour upon arriving is wander around the room and admire the charming details, and unique features that make this place so magical. We enjoyed a glass of wine while overlooking the town from the half door that opens up. Then we moseyed down the street to Duarte’s Tavern and had some of the best food we have ever had. That night it felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. We woke up to the most beautiful natural lighting that filled the room– but wasn’t too overpowering where we were unable to sleep in. Everything was so quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. It was just… perfect. We made some coffee in our room, relaxed in the beautiful claw foot tub, and had one of the most enjoyable mornings either of us could remember having. Pescadero has more to see than you would think, plenty of unique and interesting people you will never forget, and more delicious food than you will (comfortably) be able to eat in a weekend getaway. The Pescadero Creekside Barn is now a must for us anytime we visit the area. It is such a magical, perfect place that touched our hearts, and we cannot wait to return.

The room is lovely. Lots of personal touches, and it was very comfortable. My only complaint is that it is located above a store, and the owner comes in of a morning and turns on the radio and starts singing, and makes a bit of noise. The sound travels as though she were right there. We could hear her entire phone conversations, for example. And then once customers start coming in, you hear all the noise they make too. So that took away from the serene atmosphere somewhat and was kinda annoying.
However, apart from that, it was a gorgeous place to stay. There is a claw foot bathtub looking out to the trees, and a little kitchenette. The loft door window opens onto the main street. Pescadero is a very small town with not a whole lot to do, so it’s perfect for a weekend getaway.
