H&R Block

Run the other way! Took nearly six hours to do fairly simple tax return that could’ve been done in an hour or two at max, felt belittled and laughed at by the tax agent, also charged a great deal more than I can ever remember paying to have my taxes done through anywhere else including other H&R Block locations which I would recommend to go to instead.

Just left this office and was greatly disappointed. Had appointment at 900AM and the office was not ready to do business. After telling the agent who we were to see, the agent said, «That would be me.» He then asked us, «How can I help you?» Wouldn’t he already know that we were there for tax preparation as we had stated on the phone?
Then, as we sat down, he answered the phone and had a conversation with a person trying to schedule an appointment with another agent. There was a receptionist in the front office at that time — why didn’t she handle this phone call? Then the agent proceeded to tune on his computer for the first time that morning and the H/​R program would not come up. He informed us that he would have to call tech support and that would not take long. By this time we were seriously losing confidence in this office. He left and came back shortly and said that another program would be coming online very soon. Well, we were not very happy and we simple told him that we would not be waiting and we left the office with all of our prepared paperwork.
I am amazed that first the agent wasn’t ready to receive a customer and that the office wasn’t ready to do business at the appointed time, i.e., all computers should be up and running before the first appointment. That is the way you so business.
Still not losing faith in H&R Block, we called another local office and made a new appointment for later in the week.

Anna had poor customer service, she threaten to call the police on me and Jessie Fang has by far the worst customer service. H&R block Colorado is horrible it was a nightmare.

Terrible. Do turbo tax. A complete and total ripoff not to mention you will overpay to have even simple taxes done. Workers seem off-​put and irritated by your mere presence. I am so upset I was charged such a high amount, and with something I could have done myself. Please do yourself a favor and do it online, the simulated helpers will be more personable than the people who would have been physically doing your taxes.

F this place! Wow… don’t do H&R unless you absolutely ABSOLUTELY have to. I’m shocked to be honest. My entire experience there was heinous.
Firstly…once I got there my appointment didn’t start till 20 minutes after it was supposed to. My tax person was nice but not really helpful. She was mostly apathetic to what she was doing. I was so regretful i came from the beginning. She told me that she couldn’t get everything done that she had to and that I would have to come back later that night to continue with the process.
Really?! So H&R…you’re telling me that by making an appointment and doing my part that you needed me to do, you won’t be starting on time and you won’t be able to meet the expectations YOU, and I repeat, YOU promote and advertise? Pathetic and unprofessional. DONT GO HERE!
It gets better, the price for getting everything done came to $ 310!!! My taxes, mildly complicated cost me $ 310! I was furious and truly felt cheated by a corporation. At least I’ll be able to write that off next year. Once the evening came, she called me and was more helpful about every document I still needed to submit. I was understanding and the conversation started with me feeling a little better about the previous meeting we had had. Then it got worse. She then told me that she had gone out of her way to get my taxes done that night and that she was supposed to be out at 5PM if it weren’t for me. REALLY?! I was truly offended. How dare you!
All in all, Never and I repeat NEVER go here. Nobody, EVER. No other H&R either. Never this company if you want to get your taxes done right AND feel good about your decision. The management is poor enough to hire people that would treat their customers this way and they charge up the ass.
