H-​bar tutoring specializes in MATH and Science! We offer one-​on-​one tutoring, test preparation, small group classes, mentorship, and webinars. We also offer two summer programs with 3 week classes for advanced middle school /​early high school students.

History

Established in 2007.

H-​bar Tutoring was started by Caltech graduate students 8 years ago to help spread the knowledge of Math and Science. We are highly qualified and motivated tutors that would love to help you gain a deeper understanding of the material you are learning!

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Rose R.

Business Owner

I’m from sunny Miami, Florida. I moved to LA and graduated from UCLA on a full scholarship. I then studied chemistry with Jim Heath at Caltech and received my PhD in 2009. I was a co-​founder of a biotech company in LA where I was a senior scientist for 6 years and worked on designing and making artificial antibodies.

I’m passionate about education and love to teach! For the last 5 years, I’ve been tutoring, teaching, and mentoring students in the Pasadena area.

I’m now CEO and owner of H-​bar Tutoring! My dedication is to help students and families have a great educational experience and cultivate their interest in science and math!
