Receptionist was NOT friendly on the phone, which really put me off.

Take a look at the burns caused by Dr. Wong’s IPL. This is what she calls a «beauty treatment». She will only give a refund if you sign a confidentiality agreement. If you want to take her to small claims court to get your money back, file it within 12 months from the date she screwed you. I thought her lawyer and my lawyer were in negotiation, but it was a tactic to run out the clock. I consulted 3 dermatologists and they all said they have never seen an outcome like this. 2 of the 3 doctors have their assistants do the IPLs. I guess Dr. Wong wasted her medical training. I told the 3 doctors that Dr. Wong said the burns were a normal outcome and they all were adamant that was not the case in their practices.
The burns are bad but Dr. Wong’s attempt to cover-​up is far worse. It’s ironic that Dr. Wong didn’t even touch the brown spots I went in to remove.

Doesn’t take any insurance. You will have to pay out of pocket for the full amount ($ 350 — $ 600) and deal with the insurance process separately. I am sure she is a good doctor but cannot understand why she doesn’t take any insurance.

Dr. Wong is an excellent doctor — knowledgeable and compassionate. I have received excellent care.
It’s such a shame that she has such a negative and unpleasant front desk receptionist. This young woman always seems to be in a bad mood and is not helpful or friendly. It really makes me uncomfortable every time I have an appointment.
Also, be aware that Dr. Wong does not take any insurance, so it can be expensive to see her.

I went to see Dr. Wong for some skin spots. She was very personable and set me right as ease. She explained the procedure to me and followed through exactly as it was described. She was very knowledgeable about everything i asked. I am going to go back for other procedures, particularly the non-​surgical skin tightening and fat melting. (I know other people she’s worked on and they look great!

I found Dr. Wong to be kind and a very smart doctor, far from the description of the other reviewer! She always sees me right on time, there is no waiting. I had a rather complex skin issue which she fixed when my other dermatologist couldn’t figure it out. She did some cosmetic procedures on me which my friends complimented me on! My appointments are not hurried and the results are great. She also has a lovely office. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Wong a number of years ago when she worked for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. It was the first time I went to see her, and she had certainly made a lasting impression on me. I had never encountered any doctor who was as impatient as her. My appointment was at 5pm and I was perhaps her last patient for the day. And throughout the appointment, I could clearly feel that she just wanted to get the hell out of there. She was not that friendly, and everything was rushed. Needless to say, I never return to see her again.
My advice is, there are plenty of dermatologists out there. You can easily find a much better one.

I am a very satisfied patient. Dr. Wong has high standards and wants to make your skin look its absolute «best». She takes time listening to my skin concerns, cosmetic and otherwise. Some skin problems are chronic and not easily resolved; she will stick with you and give all the treatment options a try. She does not give up and really works with you at getting you the best results possible. I feel her fees are competitive for the Palo Alto area.
At the conclusion of each visit she writes down a summary of her recommendations. When I am leaving I always feel like I have received the highest quality of medical treatment.
