Ritzi Rover Dog Grooming

After going to at least five or six pet salons Miki and I finally found the best of the best! The owner is such a nice guy and all of the workers there are extremely sweet. They listened to exactly what I wanted and did even better than that!

We were recommended and what a great tip. Love the no cage attitude, the groomers are tops and on time. Shop is cute as can be. Would go nowhere else in desert

I was looking for a groomer who wouldn’t have to keep my dog for hours in a cage.
I brought my dog at 7:30AM and by 9:00 she was all done. Michael was extremely
welcoming as he greeted me and the groomer did a great job. I will definitely come
back.

Our regular groomer of the past 7 years was on medical leave. Our three kids needed to be bathed and groomed so we took a chance and brought them here. Having no prior knowledge of our tastes and the kids, I just need to say that the staff did a wonderful job. We are loyal people, so I will return to our regular groomer, but we have to say that we were delighted with our first encounter with Ritzy Groomer and would also recommend them

My Rusty loves going to Ritzi Rover and when I take him in there he doesn’t put his brakes on as he want to see the other dogs and play while waiting for his turn to shine.

I have 3 adorable Yorkies.1 of them with a personality disorder! Pink is fearful and neurotic and now toothless! Nevertheless, she is the alpha dog. This is not a problem for Ritzi Rover! Michael and Roz are patient and gentle, and they understand Pink’s royalty. However, no dog will ruffle Michael’s feathers either! Queen Pinkie now sits in a cubby by herself, observing siblings Floyd and Rock play with the other dogs while waiting their turn for grooming. She leaves the shop fluffy, clean and pretty and reports to me about the goings on of all the other dogs in the shop. Ritzi Rover is Pink’s only socializing and I am ever so grateful to Roz, Michael, Anna for their patience and servitude to all dogs. They work from their hearts. Imagine if the shared the same kindness… xoxoxoxo

This is a caring, professional grooming shop. They help us groom our homeless pets that are up for adoption. We highly recommend them to everyone. The dogs can walk around, or lay in a little cubby while waiting their turn. Michael the owner and his crew are top notch.

Best ever!!! Coco’s favorite spa! Our baby Coco Chanel comes home looking fabulous every week and I know she is not just groomed but she is lovingly cared for.
I can’t imagine taking her anywhere else! Michael, Roz and Anna are amazing!

In short, the best shampoo, blow-​dry and style my Standard Poodle has ever received. Combine that with a friendly, professional staff and a fair price and you’ve got the Ritzi Rover. I won’t take Hedwig anywhere else from now on…

This place is amazing! No one barks, including the dogs. I have a small Maltese mix who fell in love with Roz the first time he was there. He looked wonderful when I picked him up and seemed quite happy. We will return whenever he needs a trim. All the dogs seem to get along. It may be a bit more expensive than some places, but not much and picking up a relaxed fluffy is worth it.

Having read the other great reviews, I feel doubly disappointed with the Ritzi Rover.
When I entered the shop, the owner was on the phone calling & reminding customers of their appointments the following day. It is a small reception area, so my entering the front door placed me within a few feet of his face. I thought when he hung up the phone, he would acknowledge me. No. He hung up and made another call. One of the groomers looked my way and I introduced myself and the dog.
Because of the appointment time, and I’d been told that the appointments usually were done within an hour or two, I was surprised to learned that it would be three hours. I was concered about the dog needed to go to the bathroom during that time. I was assured he’d be taken outside if needed.
When I went to pick up the dog, his fur was so short in places that his pale pink skin is visible. Not good — he will have risk of sun burn unless sun screen is used.
The shop also felt a bit like a cattle call on both visits — too many dogs in a very small space.
When we got home, the dog pee’d for a very long time and it was clear he’d had to hold it for awhile.
I will not return and I will not recommend this shop to anyone.

I met my parents in Palm Springs for a weekend away from school. One morning I woke up and my little ½ Yorkie ½ Maltese named Sophie could not walk on her back right leg. I absolutely could not figure out what was wrong, and so when we were on El Paseo Dr. for lunch, I saw this spot tucked back from the street and thought I might pop in to get the nail cut to see if maybe it was just digging into her paw. Since I am a struggling college student, my first question was the cost of cutting the nails on her two back paws. The very kind man behind the counter took Sophie in his arms and told me not to worry about it, and with incredible composure and obvious professionalism he cut her nails within three minutes for free. It is important to add that Sophie has PTSD and is absolutely terrified of getting her nails cut and wriggles A LOT and yells out in fear. This was no problem for him. We were happily prancing down the street five minutes later. I am so grateful to this place for helping us out– kindness like that is not very commonplace these days.

We live ½ time in Palm Desert and I didn’t take our dogs to our normal groomer before we headed to the desert so I came on Unilocal to find a groomer. I LOVED Ritzi Rover even though they only had one review but I notice that there aren’t a lot of Unilocalers in Palm Desert — I guess I need to do more here. They were very nice, responsive and did a GREAT job with my dogs. I have a shitzu poodle mix and a puggle and they did a wonderful job on both dogs. My dogs were happy and relaxed when I picked them up. I highly recommend Ritzi Rover.

I’m surprised this place is not Unilocaled. But I noticed the desert does not have a whole lot of Unilocalers. Maybe there are too many seniors not familiar with this.
Now, about the Ritzy Rover. The best grooming place I ever took my wire haired Dachshund Bruno to. He is a handsome fellow but they bring out the best in him. I have been going to Anna for years. But Michael (the owner) and Roz are all top notch. The place is a real dog show with Fluffy’s coming and going daily. Their prices are more than fair and Michael is an especially nice guy. Always friendly, positive and kind. I can’t say enough good things about this place.
