first time here everyone was nice and very educational it’s very very clean wait times are very short I enjoyed our visit

We have been to Village Park Animal Hospital a handful of times and have had the opportunity to be seen by Dr Wallace and Dr Bradshaw. We absolutely love Dr Wallace. He listens, follows up and asks many thorough questions to make sure your dog will get the best treatment.
We won’t take our dog to anyone else. We feel our puppy is in great hands with him.
The facility has very convenient hours, clean and has a friendly staff.
We definitely recommend bringing your dog or cat to Village Park Animal hospital to see Dr Wallace.

Boarding Review: We board our motley crew of beloved mutts here for several days each summer. Boarding staff are always patient, caring, and attentive to our canines’ varied personalities (e.g. feisty Chihuahuas; sensitive, but rambunctious Terrier; shy, suspicious Cattle dog). They always seem happy and healthy when we return. Knocked off one star from review just because checkout and final billing sometimes seems confusing… the staff are always friendly and courteous, but sometimes appear to have a hard time itemizing bill… not sure if this is a computer program issue or what.

Our aging and failing Old English Sheepdog, Casper, needed not only to be groomed; but needed to be shaved down so that we could begin Aqua Paws therapy for his atrophied and neuropathic hind leg. The new groomer, Mike, did an amazing job; but more importantly did it with tender loving care. He, Carla, and a young man named Jarrell were very patient with him and went out of their way to keep him comfortable rather than rush him through. And, the grooming they did on our Havanese/​Poodle rescue, Buddy Bear, was amazing! I have never seen him look SO good. Thank you to the entire staff for doing what you do.

Just fabulous! My little (somewhat nervous) little white dog has been well taken care of since we moved to the desert three years ago. Dr. Carlson takes time to explain health issues and costs to be expected in treatment-​down to an itemized list of projected costs!
Can’t wish for anything more for my little Muffy! Thank you Village Park!

My dog was in some sort of distres. I brought her to This Vet as it was on a Friday evening and traffic was out of control due to a music festival.
The doctor walked in scratched her head a couple times. Said we will do a blood and urine test. He gave me the price in the exam room of over $ 300 dollars. I agreed as I had no other option on a Friday evening.
The vet did not even take a heart rate or fell her torso, check her ears etc. nothing.
I was then sent to check out. And was told we will get back to you Monday.
No compassion, no explanation, nothing. I was in the building for 5 minutes and I will never go back.
The one star is for the office itself as it is a nice office.

We are new to the desert and were referred here by a co-​worker. We absolutely love this place. Dr. Wallace has seen 2 of my 3 cats and both visits have been great. I love how he recommends alternative ideas and is open to hearing about what is working for you and your pet. The staff is very friendly as well and their hours rock. Especially when you have a commute to and from the desert.

My dog has been a patient of Dr. Wallace for several months and we always have a good experience. Dr. Wallace is thorough and calls to check in when he is treating an ongoing issue. Everyone at the front desk is very kind and patient. The vet technicians are very nice and helpful. My endless questions are always answered patiently. My dog recently had a teeth cleaning surgery. I was worried about the anesthetic, but I was reassured that my dog was in good hands and that everything was being performed in a very safe manner. The surgery process was explained to me in detail. MJ was very knowledgeable and did a great job. My dog gets very scared but she moved slowly and was very patient and kind to him. My dog handled the surgery well and his teeth look great. Dr. Wallace and MJ did a great job. I am very happy I found a trustworthy and safe vet office for my dog who means the world to me.

We are learning that you must be very careful who you take your animals to. Village Park has incredibly caring and knowledgable Vets. The staff is very friendly and it’s clear they truly care. I would definitely recommend this office and feel completely comfortable bringing our animals here. We have been going here for years and always been happy. We travel between Northern Calif and Southern Calif and so we have experienced Vets in both areas. This office is by far the best in care and knowledge.

Really! If you need to complain, go somewhere else! This hospital is the most generous staff, truthful and honest! I have had the best experience every. If you are new or just costing, the staff take very could care of you! Thank you for everything guys…

Okay you guys. Whats going on? I had my dog come in for a check up because he had been shaking his head and scratching at his right ear. That visit I waited a good 30 minutes in the waiting room before I got a room for the check up. I didn’t mind so much the wait in the waiting room because the surroundings are comfortable. It was the 30 minute wait in the check up room. It was excessively long I thought so I poked my head out to question. Soon after. some one came in to begin the check up apologizing that my chart was misplaced.
I took my dog back in just today for the follow up. I waited again for a good 30 minutes until a room became available. Finally in the room and after an added 45 minutes I poked my head into the back are where the doctors and nurses were. Again I was told that my chart was misplaced.
The thing is that I was w/​the doc for just 10 minutes. And it wasn’t the doc’s fault but her staff who should be helping her. She did remember me and my experience prior so some of my fee was waived. Honestly I am now reconsidering my allegiance with them. Why is this happening to me when I see other customers getting immediate attention and I do not?

Village Park Animal Hospital’s care is not consistent with the standard of care in the community. Our dog was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer. VPAH continued to treat the corneal ulcer with a variety of prescription medications for one month, indicating a referral to an eye specialist was unnecessary when we inquired. Emergency eye surgery was performed by eye specialists to prevent eye rupture. Our dog has permanent limited vision due to VPAH’s continued treatments and delay in referral when specialist referral was warranted.

How are they scrubbing unfavorable reviews. I know they are. So scrub this.
They sent me postcards and emails to schedule an appointment for my dog to get updates of three (3) year vaccines. So I looked at his records from them and they were early by four months. Why is that? I called and they claimed it was an error, but I still kept getting them.
I surmise they are trying not to wait the three years to increase revenue and I have left after ten years. Since the move to the new building they even charge for disposal of used syringes, $ 5.00 for two. Never give you a choice of disposing them yourself. They look for work when they examine your pet, not for the pet’s welfare but their own financial welfare.
Over the years this clinic changed from a funky little caring place to a cash station for them. And they are ridding bad reviews in some way. So watch how this one disappears.

We board our beagle here whenever we go on vacation. The price is not bad and definitely worth the peace of mind knowing that he is well taken care of. They walk him every day and give him plenty of love. As much as he hates us leaving him, I think he’s made a few friends there :) They are so kind and respectful. Our beagle-​boy can be quite a howler, but they are always so nice about it. Love this place!!!

I just moved to the desert and looked through Unilocal to find a vet. Village Park had several great reviews and Dr. Bradshaw was mentioned several times. The reviews are right and she is a pretty great vet with a wonderful bed side manner. The girls at the front desk were very inviting and genuine. Big Daddy even laid down after being examined and closed his eyes. I’ll be back for sure!

When we first moved to Indio we took our dogs to a local vet, and weren’t pleased. Our neighbors told us about Village Park and we couldn’t be happier with all the staff and the service we receive. We’ve seen various vets over the years within Village Park and all have been great but we love seeing Dr Bradshaw. When we go — Ashley and Heidi are excited to see her. She is patient, caring and truly cares how they are feeling. They were priced more reasonably then our previous vet!!!

these people prey on the emotions of elderly people. it amazes me how many emergency ‘teeth cleanings’ need to be performed. i brought my dogs in for their yearly physical. five minutes into the exam the doctor stopped and showed me some photos of some dogs teeth. she went on to explain that my dogs needed surgery immediately and that i was killing them by not having this done. she came at me three times, the last time with an itemized bill of 3500.00. she told me if it was a matter of cost something could be worked out. i asked her is there was any alternative like giving them bones to chew on, hard food. nope, it was irreversible. wow, i took them to animal samaritans where they told me the dogs were fine and if i wanted the cleaning it would be about 400 per dog.
that was a while ago. i recently brought my dog in because she was sick. all the other vets were closed so i had to go here. i got the same vet who told me X-​rays and a pain killer would cost about 300.00. i said ok. i was waiting for the results in the lobby watching people come and go the majority of people were in to pick up their dogs who were having their teeth cleaned. i noticed most of the people were elderly. i can only imagine how she shamed them into having their dogs teeth cleaned. none of the bills were less than 500.00. amazing.
the vet came out and told me my dog needed some specialized attention, again immediately. i told her i would get my dog the help it needed, she pressed on with me again and again. it was crazy. she even had the vet who was doing the teeth cleaning come over and tell me how important it was.
needless to say she knew my dog was really sick as they handed me a bill for 770.00, what happened to 300.00. i didn’t bother to ask. i will never go to this place again even in an emergency. they prey on elderly people and other people emotions. stay away if you know what os good for you

We just had to put our dog to sleep. They were very helpful and made it a very pleasant experience. We felt the vet was very caring! Thank you!

I must tell you that being new to Unilocal!,but a long time customer of VPAH, I find that most of the complaints on here are about $$$ money or emotion.
Prices here may be marginally higher than some places outside the Valley but it is a clear case of getting what you pay for.
I have a purebred dog. As purebreds age, many of them have a litany of genetic problems and unfortunately that is the case with my dog. Consequently we are frequent visitors to VPAH. However, I get follow up phone calls or messages on blood work as soon as it comes in & speak directly to the Doctor. The staff will call me other times to see how my dog is since his visit. Much consideration is given to treatment options & pricing with the Doctor, I work for a living.
In no way do I mean to minimize anyone’s feelings or personal experience but sometimes I think when emotions and our animals come into play we have a tendency to misdirect our anger.
The new news is that VPAH just relocated to a new beauteous building right up the block from where it was. AND as a frequent customer I know that no prices were raised!
Same park, same view.
Bigger waiting room, pet boutique, kitty waiting area, state of the art exam equipment, grooming upstairs– it’s da bomb!
Dr. Carlson has a thriving business because of her and her staff. I save money in gas going here and my pet gets the best treatment available which gives me peace of mind.
In the end that is the only bargain I am looking for!

Im so shocked by the bad reviews. i recvd Incredible service and at no time felt like it was all about money n not about My Tyke-​ster. He started having seizures with no prior history. I had so much going on & they helped me through it. Got him in immediately & took care of my baby. They helped us out so much. Shawn is awesome! He is loving n took such great care of Tyke. I could feel he genuinely cared for Tyke’s well being! Laurel Harms DVM was awesome too. She was thorough n kind. And Keri… She is the bomb! She is who got my initial call. I was a mess and no where to turn & she was so kind. Village Park went above and beyond for us n I’m so thankful for their blessing.
