Miracle Method Bathtub Refinishing

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife. Our fiberglass tub had a crack. I purchased a DIY repair kit to fix it myself. The patch worked, but it looked ugly. My wife wanted the fix to look perfect. She called Miracle Method and left a message. Since it was after office hours, She also sent an email with photos attached. The next morning she received Dean’s phone call back, and also Rob’s reply email with a quote. They scheduled the repair appointment for the following day. Their guys, James and Jeremy, arrived right on time. James is very experienced and knows what he is doing. He fixed the crack within a couple hours. The job is finished beautifully. James and his staff also used protective layer on the floor before starting the repair work. Miracle Method is responsive, professional, and very friendly! Overall a satisfied experience! We are happy we found Miracle Method. Highly recommend!

Dave and his crew are great! My two bathrooms look amazing! In our master bath they sprayed the counter top, the tile around the bath tub, the shower stall and pan! It looks like we spent $ 20,000 to remodel the bathrooms and only spent a fraction of that! Great job guys, I highly recommend their service:)!!

Had to do a callback regarding minor warranty issue. Dean and Dave were great and they were very quick to respond. They got a tech out here within a couple days. Marco did a quick airbrush and it looks like new. He was pleasant and courteous. Very happy with their service and commitment to making it right.

Dean, the owner manager sent over one of his best employees. He was was great. I can’t say enough about the workmanship. He was also Polite, effective, clean and well organized. I had a 3−4″ crack in the back part of my sink. I had a remodel done in the master bath about 3 – 4 years ago. The sink cracked about 6 months ago. You couldn’t tell after it was fixed. It’s perfect. The color matches the other sink. Honestly I cannot say enough about this company!!!

These guys REALLY know what they are doing. Our tech, James was the best. Both the bathtub and the shower pan looked fantastic after the first day! When he came back to finish today it looked even better, like brand new.
So happy to find a company that really takes care of their customers. Timely, efficient, great results, cleaned up after the work was done and the price was right!

I am just thrilled with the job that William did on our upstairs bathroom. It is sooo gorgeous! What a great company and William is one of the nicest people and if you have dogs as I do, he is very considerate to not leave the door open. I know who to call for my other two bathrooms when the time comes. Can’t thank you enough!

I just had Miracle Method redo the tile around an original 1924 bathtub. The tile had a few cracks and several holes where screws for a grab bar and the shower curtain rod had been drilled through the tile. I was having a custom curved tub/​shower surround installed and all the tile was going to be on full display. Plus, the tile was speckled with gold and I had added new tile in white to build out the wall where the new glass surround would be attached. All of the tile needed to match (white). It looked absolutely beautiful — you could not tell there had been any cracks or holes at all!!! What a difference! Much better than replacing all that tile (and probably the drywall that was behind it. While they were there, I also had them redo the floor of a walk-​in shower that they had done about 11 years ago — over time the paint had worn away in some spots. They said that the priming process they use now should make this coating last longer.

Wow. I am beyond satisfied. I own a duplex with original tubs from 1924 and they were in good shape but old with some rusting.

Miracle Method repaired my fiberglass tub which had a fairly large-​sized hole in the bottom of it. Very professional and courteous staff from Dean who scheduled my appt to James who repaired my tub. i especially appreciate the check in phone calls to keep me updated on arrival time.

The Short: Thanks Miracle Method for repairing the bay job by another company. The Long: A year ago I had a bathtub and wall panels refinished by another ‘contractor’. Six months later the bathtub was pealing and cracking. Miracle Method gave me a price quote over the phone and did the job just as expected. They were professional and informative. The old resurface job pealed off the tub without any need for chemicals or tools. Guess it was not done right the first time. The tub looks great now. Thanks again.

I recently had my bathtub refinished, and could not have been happier! The job was scheduled at a convenient time, everything was explained to me in advance, and best of all, the actual work was fantastic! I am extremely pleased with the appearance of my bathtub and would recommend Miracle Method without hesitation.

After checking around for similar contractors, my wife and I decided on Miracle Method based on Dave’s professionalism, prompt and conscientious follow-​thru, and the many positive reviews here on Unilocal.So on March 18^th, his technician, William, came by and did an excellent job. He covered everything so that the refinishing process would not contaminate other areas, and he worked continuously without taking a break. He explained the entire process and answered our questions, never once displaying anything but professionalism.
We had the tiled stand-​up shower stall completely refinished. It looks brand new now!

In 2010 we moved into a rental house where MIracle Method had just redone the bathtub and tiles. About a year later the coating started chipping away from the tile grout. MM came out and touched it up. Within a year it began failing again, and they came out and touched it up again. In 2013 we bought the house. The coating was again falling out of the tile, and also started peeling up from the tub. It was six months and several calls before they sent someone out, and here’s what happened:
— They informed us that because we had used a rubber bath mat our warranty was voided… which is indeed in the fine print on the back of the invoice (which we’d never seen because our landlord had it). We weren’t advised of this by the first repairman who came out and saw the mat and it’s not on the Miracle Method web site.
— They informed us that the tile grout was failing because the tiles underneath were plastic… which may be true, but it didn’t stop them from taking the job in the first place.
On the last visit they did repair the tub coating and added a non-​slip surface, which clearly should have been done in the first place. They did not fix the grout even though the bath mat had nothing to do with its repeated failure.
A year later the grout is failing all over the tiles, and the coating on the tub is chipping off again even without a bath mat. Since our use of the mat before voided the warranty we decided not to pursue the matter further and are going to fix it via other means.
There may be circumstances under which this product works as advertised, but that has sure not been our experience.
Since posting this I have received a response from MM blaming the problems on the condition of the bathroom when they did the job. I wasn’t there so I can’t speak to that, but they accepted the job, and payment for it, and it was fully warranted. They offered to redo it if we strip the bathroom down to provide a better initial surface, we have chosen not to accept that offer.

My husband and I have been refurbishing a house to sell and the tub and tile had great lines and style so we hated to replace them. We found Miracle Method through Unilocal and called for an estimate. What a great decision! The tub had rusted along the outer edge with wear to the surface. The tile had been patched with ugly putty with some cracks and chips, we were amazed at the transformation! The tub and tile look great, wow are we impressed. Nice people who take pride in their work!

Over 25 years ago, my parents used Miracle Method to refinish our bathroom sink and tub. Same people still in business and I just had them re-​do the tub and sink again after they dulled and had a few chips around the faucet, but after so long, I have no complaints. the redone bathroom looks amazing now. Clean and shiny. They worked fast, friendly and left my bathroom clean when done. Cost was less than expected, and way less than a remodeling job.

March 2012: Great job done by Miracle Method who was hired by A Finished Home (Brian Kozera general contractor) to refinished a 1964 tub. Very professional, took care covering the rest of the newly renovated bathroom. The old tub top edge was very rough & marred from the shower door rails which they smoothed that out very well. Tub looks great, cannot tell there were shower doors!
The tub did get scratched by flooring installers who had carelessly placed the toilet in it while the floors were being done. Miracle Method will be the ones to do the repairs as that is whom the flooring business prefers.
I could not see the original color coming through the scratch but can see and feel the scratch. So a pretty thick coat of refinishing material is used. But am concerned as to the warranty being void due to damage.

We had a crack in our sink that was collecting mold/​mildew regardless of how much we tried to clean it. We called Dave at Miracle Method and the next day his employee James came out. He arrived on time, was very courteous and now our sink looks brand new again. I couldn’t be happier with the job they did. I only wish I’d heard of them sooner. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We have two sinks in our 1920s cottage, one in our kitchen and the other in our tenant’s unit. Both had taken a beating over the decades and were severely discolored and chipping. But replacing them was too expensive and would have ruined the surrounding historic tile. We’re also aiming, whenever possible, to uncover and restore the house’s original charm, not replace it w/​new, often more cheaply made, products.
That said, we had a hard time finding a company or plumber who would restore the sinks. We found Miracle Method on the Berkeley Parents Network, our trusted guide for just about everything. They were friendly and responsive on the phone and amenable to working with our tight budget. They also scheduled us w/​in two weeks and not only showed up, but showed up on time and completed the work within a day. I can’t tell you how many different companies, repairmen, etc. just never show up after I’ve spent so much time securing their services and taken work off to meet them.
The Miracle employee was super friendly. He meticulously protected the surroundings and cleaned up the house well when he was done. The sinks look brand spankin’ new. He was also very informative about the toxicity of the process and what cleaning products to use from here on out to preserve the work. They also extended our warranty.
Despite the tough times, this was money well spent and saved two sinks from ending up in the landfill. That’s priceless to me.

We had a pink and grey tile bathroom from 1951 and it was a mess. The tile was chipped, cracked, and poorly patched by the previous owner. The bathtub, after 60 years of use, had lost most of its original finish and was dull and pitted.
We initially looked at stripping the bathroom down to the studs, but the cost was prohibitive. Instead, we turned to tile and tub refinishing. We had three companies come out to give us an estimate. Yet, when Dave, the owner of Miracle Method, came out, I found he had an instant understanding of our needs. Simply stated, we wanted it to look brand new. Dave was attentive to detail and addressed our concerns with the problem tile. Finally, Dave gave us sound advice in color and finish selection.
The process to refinish the tile and tub took about two days. The installer, also attentive to detail, did everything Dave said he would. All of the cracks, pits, chips, and the poorly filled holes were refilled and smoothed out. I can’t even see where any of these previous flaws existed anymore. Yes, it looks brand new.
The installer also took great care in making sure the rest of the house stayed clean during the refinishing. When the installer finished the job, the newly sprayed bathroom was clean as a whistle, too.
The finished product has fooled our friends and family into thinking we spent a fortune to replace everything. Our pocketbook knows the truth. We saved 70% from the original tear-​it-​all-​out estimate.
I equate bathroom refinishing like repainting a car. Yeah, if you scrub hard enough with an abrasive cleaner, you’ll get down to the original color. But, if you take care of it by keeping it clean and not having Superman scrub it, there is no reason to worry.
In summary, I highly recommend Miracle Method and can provide an example of its work. Its staff exceeded my expectations and we’ll use them again.

Having a bathtub that was starting to show rust and corrosion, — especially around the overflow drain, I looked into one of those bathtub liners. However, it was very expensive and the reviews that I heard indicated that they turn a little dull and dingie in less than a year.
My plumber, suggested Miracle Method Bathroom Restoration. The owner, Dave, came over and looked at my tub and gave me a fair quote. Miracle Method (Jerry) started the work yesterday morning and finished it up this morning. It is a 2 stage process. About 3 hours the first day and about 45 minutes the second day.
I absolutely love the way it makes my tub look brand new without all the expense of demolishing, purchasing a new tub, and re-​doing the plumbing. They finished up by completely caulking my tub, both on the inside and along the walls and floor, and did a fabulous job of cleaning up after themselves.
Very little inconvenience to me (a little smelly on the first day) and the look of a new tub for under $ 600. In this economy, I really appreciate being able to restore my tub rather than replace it.
