A quick walk from our apartment. First impression nice and clean atmosphere. I was very impressed walking in the door. Customer Service: 2 stars. Having never been. I informed the barista who was pleasant. I was quickly given my one size(expensive but that’s ok) coffee. I asked for some tap water as my dog was waiting outside in the heat(no shade.) The barista gave me another plastic cup and pointed to the end of the bar. Some verbal form of communication is always a good idea. Ok…, then I asked another barista where I could get lids. She was pleasant and answered all my questions and made sure I knew where everything was. There was no friendly hello walking in the door, yes that can be cheesy but nice at the same time. It’s summer and hot with my dog so I didn’t get the full experience. The coffee was good and I loved the look of the place. I will try it again. Maybe the baristas need to drink some morning coffee this Sunday!

Terrible experience across-the-board. I asked the barista about the nitrogen infused cold coffee all told me was that it was nitrogen infused and that it was carbonated then looked at me like I was ignorant for asking what the difference was between that and plain cold brew. After she repeated herself again and didn’t elaborate on any details such as strength of coffee, taste, background etc. I proceeded to order a cup. Then, I had to take a long 45 minute call outside to come back and my coffee was gone and my journal had been opened and read. I understand leaving your things and they having to clean the table, but I was sitting in the very back on a not so busy late morning. Regardless, they should’ve never opened my journal.

My order was picked up and brought to me, so strictly reviewing my SSCL(short short iced latte made with cane sugar syrup). My latte tasted of roasted marshmallow to me. Coffee was fresh and smooth and sweet. Didn’t have a nasty coffee after taste, instead I was delighted with a sweet roasted flavor in my mouth. Lovely!

No decaf, very little sugar, no regular cups to drink from. The order person was abrupt and very surprised I wanted a receipt. Won’t be back.

Coffee is really good. One of the best. But I have gone to this coffee shop for awhile and the staff are… cold. It’s just strange to me for a coffee shop. Usually everyone is relaxed and funny but the atmosphere here is very on your own business. Also they don’t have a working number so I can’t call and ask if they’re open holidays. Also, food options are basically at zero after 9am. Good coffee and very clean and cool looking space but everything else is meh.

I asked for something sweet and honestly it was the grosses thing I have ever experienced. It was a mocha coffee and it tasted like they took expresso shots(plural) and milk and combined it together and then added cocoa powder to the mix but didn’t mix it. It felt like I was drinking rotten milk with sand in it. It’s been 10 minutes and after taking just one TINY sip of the drink, the«mocha» is still stuck in my throat. Never again will I be returning. However, the atmosphere was very open and relaxing.

I liked the atmosphere and the coffee tasted great. My husband and I each got a macchiato. They served it in the small espresso mugs with a saucer and tea spoon. Too cute!

No soy, no chia, no sugar-free. Sizes are small but same cost of venti at Starbucks. Was disappointed. Gave two stars since customer service was ok and store was nice and clean.

Its décor a bit minimalist with a hint of rustic, I have find Coffee Slinger a good place to relax and enjoy a good cup of mocha. The baristas are usually quite friendly and helpful, and beyond coffee, I find their taste in music to be quite enlightening. If you enjoy waking along Mobile Alley./ Broadway Ave, and want to find a place to meet up and catch up, I highly recommend this place for you.

I love trying new coffee places and this place did not disappoint. They made a great mocha that was very tasty and all the essence of a mocha along with creating an awesome flower on top of the mocha. The price is a little expensive but most places are getting a little pricer. The atmosphere is very welcoming and great place to hangout, have a date or do homework. I will definitely come back.

I find this place tedious. You see, they’re very specific about the drinks they make, no substitutions and a whole lot of attitude. The drink I ended up getting was good, it’s just not what I ordered. I wanted a macchiato with a bit more milk to «cut» the espresso(basically that of a gibraltar or cortado), but I was met with a handful of insincere«sorry’s». What’s worse is that the barista shrugged her shoulders in a self satisfied omission of making the customer feel less than. Slinger’s, keep your incredulous pretensions – I hope that your client base follows you in your minimalism and your lack of customer satisfaction.

I understand that consistency is important in the coffee world, but slingers takes it a step too far. I stopped through about a year ago while visiting OKC for work and remember really liking the shop and the pour-over service. This year I stopped by after remembering how great it was and was deeply disappointed. I ordered a cortado and was told«we don’t do that here» with an unapologetic look and a shrug. You cannot be serious. This is like asking for a Manhattan«up» and instead being given«rocks» only, because«we don’t do that here.» The difference between a cortado and macchiato is found in the milk ratio. There is nothing extra fancy about it and it’s easy. Almost every established coffee shop will make one. I thought about leaving, but stuck it out and asked the barista making drinks for a tad more milk. We are talking 1 oz more. I would understand if it were a whole new cup. «We really strive for consistency, so I can’t.» The customer is not always right, but in this case I’ve made an informed request. It was refused twice. Don’t tell me how I like my coffee. I’m tired of coffee shops refusing to make an easy drink at request. If I want more milk… Done. If I want it to go… Done. This is why small coffee houses eventually lose their business to Starbucks. I hate Starbucks. I will go to Elemental coffee for the rest of my trip. Easy to decide after my experience at slingers.

This is one of the first places I think of going to for my morning brew. Coffee Slingers doesn’t offer a menu full of Starbucks-esque coffee. It’s simply great coffee brewed by people who know what coffee should taste like. Customer service is great, the interior is always clean, and prices are decent. If you haven’t been, I’d give it a try.

To steal a few cinematic lines(with a twist!) — Hipsters, hipsters everywhere… I see hipsters… You can’t handle the hipsters! Ok, so our tea and service were excellent, but prices are kinda crazy high and you just won’t feel comfortable without shaggy beard and skinny jeans. Not my scene, but perhaps it’s yours?

I showed up at their door on Monday morning seconds after they opened with sleep-heavy eyelids that desperately needed a caffeine fix. Coffee Slingers has wood-heavy rustic atmosphere with a good mix of small and communal tables. You might think that a café that dedicates a large portion of their space to several large in-house roasters would be pretty serious about their coffee and that is absolutely true here. My latte was rich and deep, and while I usually like a splash of sweetness in my drink to soften the potential harshness of espresso, this one was marked with such expressive but soft tones that I enjoyed it thoroughly without any additives. Almond milk is offered as a dairy-free alternative, which is typically hard to foam correctly but the baristas here do an impressive job heating and whipping it into a perfect caffeinated cloud and the latte art was on point. Admittedly, food options are weak here and when I visited, there was little else besides several different kinds of croissants and scones. I ordered a regular croissant to pair with my drink and the butter-laden pastry was certainly not a filling nor healthy breakfast by any means. Still, I’m glad I found a place that rivals some of the best coffee I’ve had back at home in NYC to fuel me while I’m out here. As many others have already mentioned, there were no visible outlets, making this a less than ideal workspace for power-hungry work sessions on your laptop but perfect for casual dates and short visits.

I stop by Coffee Slingers every once in a while after a workout at my gym down the block. I’ve tried all their offerings but I usually stick to a latte. Their lattes are delicious… creamy, rich coffee flavor, foamy, soothing. I try my best to sip it but in truth I want to just chug the entire cup without stopping. They roast their own coffee and it has a unique richness and depth of flavor that I really enjoy. They craft their coffee, just watch them make the latte… one at a time, deliberate and slow… each one a work of art really. The atmosphere is chill even though busy chatter fills the air from an interesting mix of professionals, hipsters and gym rats. The service is friendly and welcoming. Its a place where you can spend some time. The coffee takes a little longer to prepare so if your are in a rush to get to the office you might just find yourself annoyed. If you have the time, however, it is more than worth the wait.

My husband and I are were in town to visit family over the Christmas holiday. Saturday afternoon we decided to head out for a family coffee run. I couldn’t stand the thought of a peppermint sugar free extra whip lite ice mocha from a certain chain so my sister brought us to this local spot. As a New Yorker, I love a good local coffee shop. Simple menu, great music, and an interesting space. This place met every one of these qualifications. I ordered a latte and it was simply divine. Delicious yet bold cut with a little bit of sugar and whole milk. The coffee, service, and environment all get 5 stars. I only have two negative notes(which may only be a downside for me and may not bother some of you) 1) a woman decided that one of the tables in the shop would be a great place to change her baby’s poopy diaper. Besides the obvious health code violation(poopy diaper on a surface where people eat and drink) the employees didn’t feel the need to point her in the direction of the bathrooms. People may be saying«oh you’re from New York, youre stuck up.» And you’re entitled to that opinion, but if not wanting feces in my coffee is wrong… I don’t want to be right. 2) The use Horizon Organic Milk. It’s my personal opinion(and the opinion of several reputable sources, google it) that this milk is BARELY organic. They would be better off using a generic organic brand. Overall, would definitely go back(may just get my coffee to go)

I actually quit coming here for several years because they covered the plugins. I can’t charge my computer. I don’t visit as often for that reason but since beatnix has been closed I’ve came back. They have excellent coffee. They just don’t cater to those of us who would spend more time also money there. Make sure your computer is charged before to visit. I’ve never visited a coffee shop like this that doesn’t cater to the entrepreneur scene especially when our city and state is supposed to be the best place for a small business and startup. I like their mocha. They also have nice scones which I buy when I visit. Never too busy. Nice tables to spread out. Not too noisy for quick meetings. Wish I could spend more time there.

If you’re looking for a coffee shop in the downtown area of OKc you found it right here. The place is full of a creative and warming experience with decent Wi-Fi for work with and and enough space to not have to wait for a great seat. A thing I liked a lot was the long tables and the feel of a community experience. You can share a table with others and have enough space to not feel awkward with your own party, BUT can become apart of a larger conversation if the need arised. I easily spent two hours with a client/friend and the time flew by. If I have the opportunity to host a client in downtown OKc area again it will definitely be here. (and be aware, they fill the cup to the brim, so take a sip before heading back to your table, you will definitely get your moneys worth here)

It hae been one year since that fateful day in February 2014 when I was introduced to good coffee. I am celebrating by enjoying a traditional mocha at one of the best places to get coffee in Oklahoma City. To quote Goldilocks, my mocha is «just right». The perfect blend of coffee, chocolate, and milk. Really, the coffee shop could be described as a hipster paradise. They have an awesome playlist, friendly and knowledgeable bartenders, and fresh ground coffee, Additionally, they keep the Gazette around and let local artists post flyers for their work and events so you can check them out. They have wifi and plenty of table space, including a bar along their window facing the street. The only thing they are lacking, in the opinion of a amateur coffee lover, is subscribing to Keep It Local.
