I’m going to say that their chai lattes are good. But other than that, nothing truly draws me into this place. There is never a crowd, it is always empty when I come in. The service is always okay, but the girl I’ve seen the last few times doesn’t seem super invested in her job. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad location, there are several popular stores on 9th and 10th that could help support the business. But you can’t see the sign from the road very well, I’m not sure very many people know it’s here. With Elemental and Coffee Slingers being so close, and really building their local clientele, this place needs to make some improvements if they want to stay in the coffee game. The atmosphere is so so, it’s mostly cluttered with coffee/tea odds and ends for sale. It doesn’t feel very hip, warm or vibrant. It definitely doesn’t feel very community oriented. I think if they could even facilitate some local events, live music, etc. then they could maybe build their business a little bit better. But it doesn’t seem like there’s much of an effort there. Maybe I’m wrong, I hope I am, but I’m not sure this place is going to keep its head above water with its competitors.

Meh. The coffee was ok, nothing great nothing awful. I came here on a Wednesday at like 9am, so maybe you can say they weren’t on their A-game. That said, not a great experience. Ordered a tall cappuccino. I realize that there is usually some room in the cup for the foam, but it was only about 70% full. I.e. I had to tilt it waaaaay too much to get the coffee on the first sip. The goods: 1) flavor was okay, not great. Better than the burned beans at starbucks though. 2) Good location. Right on old main street. The Bad 1) Kind of hosed me on the coffee… This is basically my biggest hang up on this place. It’s basically 1 of 2 things, other than taste, a coffee shop can muck up. Will I try it again? Sure, but only if I’m in the area. Not going to make any special trips, especially after reading the other reviews. Seems to be a common issue.

I’ve always liked Java Daves. I like that they have a drink menu vs. Starbucks where you have to give them a recipe to get them to make anything besides a mocha or caramel flavored drink. I don’t come here very often, because I honestly forget it’s here. They need to invest in a sign out front. I didn’t even realize they had moved to 9th street for a long time, I just thought they had closed. I love the 32oz iced coffees.

If you’re into really sweet drinks and don’t really care about the quality of the coffee itself, then this would be the place to go.

I gotta go with the pack on this one. I really don’t know why this place is popular. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the ones I bring here consistently comment it is sub-par. The food is actually okay to good, but is over priced. We just had an omelette, soft drink & small coffee and it was $ 12!!! The Location and atmosphere are great. The problem seems to stem from management. They tend to hire flakes that are not into customer service and their turnover is terrible. Every time I walk in it’s new people & and the same bad service. I hear they are giving up this large building to move into a smaller location nearby in the near future.
