Beatnix is a wonderful neighborhood coffee house and café. Their coffee, food, and customer service is excellent! I do wish they were open on Friday or Saturday nights though.

Hey everyone!!! I am one of the Baristas at Beatnix Café. This Saturday we will be open and I will be working. Come grab a sandwich and a latte. If you haven’t tried it yet, come try our Turbo Matte Latte, it is a house specialty; brewed matte leaves with matte extract, peppermint extract and mixed with Soy Milk resulting in smooth, natural energy drink. We will be looking forward to having you!

Really cool, funky café. Been a while since I’ve eaten here, forgot how good the food is. Split a turkey club with the wife and had both soups, tomato basil and a turkey chili. Sandwich was very good and the soups were phenomenal. Excellent serice too. Highly recommended!

Both Google and the sign on the door say they are closed on Saturday but when I called, they said they were open 8 – 2. It’s a small place but very cute. Several vegan/vegetarian options. VERYWIDE selection of organic loose leaf tea and non-coffee options. Cali club sandwich was very good. I really liked this place. Definitely coming back more often.

I can’t comment on the food since I wasn’t there to eat. That said, the atmosphere was super cozy and cute. They have booths and tables and chairs and the whole place has such a good vibe. Very comfortable. There were people steadily coming in even around 3pm, so I think people probably like the food and drinks a lot. The barista is incredibly sweet as well, and it was clear she knew the locals. That said, I didn’t end up staying for very long. I think the floor had just been cleaned and the smell was a little overwhelming. Also, there was no loose leaf or even bagged tea. Just two canisters of already-brewed China Mist teas, both black. I ended up giving away my watermelon black tea to a construction worker outside. They do not really have hot tea(I think she mentioned she could heat up the iced teas?). I might come back and try the sandwiches since the place seems so popular.

Beatnix is a cozy, friendly, family-run business. I come in a few times a semester to study, as it is within a good distance from the OU health science center. The food is yummy and decently priced. The coffee and teas are always very good and they have a great selection. They recently remodeled this year and the décor is cute and clean. Come in between meals for a good study space, but this place gets super busy at lunch, just a heads up.

I was looking for breakfast places near downtown this morning and caught Beatnix out if the corner of my eye. I had a feeling in my gut to turn around and try this little café and I’m so glad I did. I walked in and was immediately at home with this place. I have a certain thing for coffee shops with chalkboard menus and Beatnix did not let me down. There’s also some cool artwork and records that helped me enjoy the feel of this place. To add with this nostalgic feeling, I was entertained by the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas, and other classic bands. I decided to order on the A La Cartr section since I was not in the mood for bagels or pastries. I ordered two eggs over easy which were cooked perfect along with a great tasting sausage patty. What really did it in for me though was the option of ordering fresh avocado with my meal which I quickly devoured. The green sauce that the owner recommended was a fantastic addition as well. We also shared a great chat where she informed me that on Friday’s, they offer Mexican breakfast! I’ll definitely be back for more food and hearty espresso shots!

Beatnix is kind of an odd spot, which I suppose makes sense given the name. Honestly, it isn’t exactly what you’d think of as a full-service restaurant; in fact, there doesn’t appear to be a heck of a lot of full-on cooking going on in this lunch spot. They’ve got some nice sandwiches and other options(a chili dog in my case), but none of it was anything you couldn’t make on your own in 15 minutes or so. This is more of a coffee/snack kind of place, and I think they really shine on the flavored tea. So the food itself isn’t that great, but it’s a nice enough atmosphere, friendly staff, and a nice chance to get your caffeine fix in whatever exotic way you’d like.

I met a girlfriend here for lunch and we both enjoyed it. It’s a cute little place and is a nice break from some of the more hectic downtown lunch options. The staff was super friendly. I had the Reuben and the Yerba matte latte. The latte was huge and was more than enough to share with my friend. It was also delish. The sandwich was pretty good but I’d want to try something different next time.

Visiting OK and finally found some great coffee! LOVE that they use coffee cubes instead of ice & their frozen hot chocolate is to die for! I’ve tried that before in Las Vegas and it was disgusting at a place that was«famous» for it. Amazing customer service is always a plus too!

Beatnix is one one of the coziest little cafés here in midtown. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out in a a timely manner. They have one of the best tomato basil soups in the city and offer several bread selections for sandwiches. Beatnix is my local go to for my work day. I haven’t had a bad experience yet. Pro tip when coming here: avoid right at 12 bc it can get busy.

Good coffee, good food. I like to stop here on the way to work to grab some coffee and a bagel or bacon & eggs. The atmosphere is nice, they play good music and the coffee/food smell great. The breakfast is really basic, but they execute it well. I keep meaning to stop by for lunch. I have only done it once, but the sandwich was great!

I’m sure there are good things on the menu but the veggie wrap was not one of them. Dry, boring, and the wrap was rubbery. The sure of potato salad was tasteless and had probably been prepared several days before as it was packed tightly in a styrofoam container. Unfortunately, the veggie wrap is the only vegetarian option in the menu so I won’t return to give it another chance. The clerk was friendly and nice and the décor is cool, but the food wasn’t worth coming back.

I’ve been here twice and think it’s a really neat little place. It’s very quaint and cozy, has free wifi, and boasts a pretty delish selection of sandwiches, soups, and the like. My favorite off the menu thus far is the spinach chicken wrap. The spinach is fresh and doesn’t look/smell/taste like it’s been in the refrigerator for a long time… which is a BIG pet peeve of mine. Beatnix makes your standard«no frills» chicken that is cooked nicely and isn’t overly dry or seasoned, which works perfectly in their wraps. They have a fair selection of drinks, including sodas, fruit juices, and teas… many of which are in a refrigerator that you can pull from. Their prices are in line with most of the other cafes in town.(I think I spent roughly $ 10 for lunch.) Overall, there isn’t anything truly«amazing» about Beatnix, but then again… there doesn’t have to be. It’s doing a fine job of being a nice, low-key, friendly place to have a bite to eat at.

My heart has a small place reserved for cafes and sandwich shops. Sadly, I also have this love hate relationship with them. On one hand, I want to support local businesses. On the other hand, they tend to underwhelm me. When I first moved to OKC, I checked out The Garage lofts across the street and bookmarked Beatnix because it looked so gosh darn cute. Today(a month or so ago) was the day I decided to come visit you. This review is a little delayed because I was busy editing and making some final touches… I love the décor! I ordered a Reuben and replaced the rye bread for white. Rye bread is just so weird and strange to me. Don’t judge! The corned beef was excellent. Maybe 4 slices worth and very juicy. One slice of cheese, which was all it needed(or all I needed really). The sauerkraut has just the right amount of zing. This was almost melt in your mouth worthy, but the price/portion got me = a little over 8 bucks. Meh :( It’s safe to say that I will come again and try something else, but I don’t know when that will be. Parking poses a challenge and I don’t hang out at cafes like I used to. If or when I come again I will order some sweet sweet goodness. Beware of the baked goods… The snickerdoodle cookies were staring at me like a sad eye little puppy!

When you are looking for a break from work in a homey atmosphere, this is the place to go. The food is delicious and they have daily specials. I have had their BLT sandwich with potato salad that I finished off in a heartbeat, and their spinach wrapped chicken tortilla on my second trip was even better. Price wise you could find a better deal at a fast food restaurant, but the food won’t be as good and you would really miss out on the cool, friendly environment of Beatnix. I believe they only have 3 staff members, but they are always attentive and are great about making sure I don’t run out of tea.(Which by the way, the tea is wonderful and you get free refills.) They do take the Keep It Local card, so make sure you bring it with you.

This is a cute little café that offers a variety of sandwiches, soups, coffees, teas, salads, and cookies. The daily special is posted on their website. I got the hepster ham sandwich which had grilled onions, spicy BBQ mustard, cheese, and deli slice corn loaf. It was so good! The weather was chilly outside so I got a bowl of turkey chili to warm me up. For $ 3.99, you get a small bowl of deliciousness. I also got some mini muffins to try — banana nut, carrot walnut, banana nut, and apple cinnamon. I asked for them to be heated up but the only one I liked was blueberry. All the others weren’t as great. Keep It Local cards are accepted but the deals are changed monthly. You’d have to check their website each month to keep up with the discounts.

So happy to have this little spot in OKC. It seems like one of those places that make a city unique and different– exactly the kind of place Unilocal was made for! I stopped in after a workout for a smoothie. The young man working the counter was really helpful and knew a lot of answers to my questions. The owner overheard me asking questions and came over to talk to me about the different options, supplements, etc. I really appreciated the special attention. I loved the list of specials I saw, and I think if you go in you should give yourself some time to really look at all of the specials and options to see what sounds the best to you at the time. I’ll be back to try coffee, lunch specials, and sweet treats. The interior is cozy, the staff is friendly and helpful, the location convenient. I’m a fan!

I have passed by this place a million times promising next time I would stop. My boss at Arts Council of OKC asked if I had lunch plans because we were going to one of her favorite places. I was instantly curious. Low and behold we stop here and I can finally cross this off my list. This café is refreshing and welcoming. I walked in and fell in love with the atmosphere and the come hither smells. I tried the Yerba Maté Latte iced and it has to be one of the most delicious drinks I’ve had in a long time. Reminds me of bubble tea but better, less overpoweringly sweet and completely satisfying. I think I have a new favorite place. You might see me there on the daily from now on.
