Professionalism at an all time low, very disorganized, staff unbelievably rude. They don’t seem to understand the concept of why people make appointments; currently 30min past my appointment time and missing work.
I wish I could go to a different facility/​company but US Healthworks is the only one employers use. The Comcast of employment screenings!

Is the building spectacular? No. Is the staff nice and helpful? Yes! It’s kind of disappointing to see so many negative reviews of this place. Every single staff member was personable, knowledgable and kind– even after other patients cussed at them. Everyone knows that doctors aren’t usually the nicest people, but my doctor was hands down the best doctor I’ve ever encountered. Knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and really funny. Will you have to wait a little bit to be seen? Yeah, but come on guys. These people obviously work really hard so don’t be a jerk about it.

I had an appointment at 11:30 and have been waiting for 2 hours and still have not been seen by a doctor. When I asked how much longer it would be, the nice lady behind the counter said at least another half hour! If you can help it, don’t come here for any reason. I would give no stars if I could.

Staff and service is really unprofessional. If you schedule an appointment be ready to wait at least 1+ hours

Worst establishment I’ve ever gone to in life. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN! What’s more, I killed a roach while in the waiting room. Why doesn’t Unilocal have a «zero stars» option?
One medical assistant was really nice: David; I think that’s his name. He was very sympathetic after knowing I had waited an HOUR AND A HALF after being put into a room for a physical that took literally three minutes.
I’ve got to go back to have a TB test read; let’s see how long that takes. They’ve made me a half an hour late to work.
How could a place like this still be open?! Ughhh.

I’ve had a horrible experience. Here for employment drug test. I have been waiting almost 90 minutes and still haven’t been called. I would never come here if I could help it. But that’s he problem. Most employees have no choice for work related healthcare services.

Came here for a physical that took 5 mins but I had to wait 4 hours to even be seen and I had an appointment! There were people who came in way after me and got seen before me!

I came here for a drug test. I had to wait 30 minutes for the receptionist to enter my name and address in the computer before I could pee in a cup. I’m beyond annoyed!

tl: dr; They will not stand behind their work or fix their errors.
The problem with places like this is you often don’t read the reviews before you go, by the very nature of their business. I wish I had.
My doc was actually excellent. Great bedside manner. He got my stitches in and sent me on my way. He took good care of me and I honestly believe he cared.
However, the stitches popped. So, I went back. And the front desk person was the most rude, unprofessional person I’ve dealt with in medicine. She told me that I would not be seen. Apparently they have a «No Followups» policy. I mentioned that I was simply asking them to stand by their word and their work. She said no. I told her that her facility had messed up on a medical procedure, I had followed all recommendations to the letter, and still this had happened. I wasn’t asking for a followup. I was asking them to fix what they messed up. I shouldn’t have to go to another facility and pay another fee and have another medical professional redo their shoddy work.
You know what she said? My least favorite words in ANY profession. «That’s not my problem.» That’s. Not. Her. Problem.
Her facility made a potentially malpractice worthy mistake (not worth the time or money to pursue — possibly not even the doctor’s mistake. I’ve since been told that this particular facility cheaps out on medical supplies so it was probably crap stitching material. Given his nature, I’d like to think it was the facility and not him.) And her reply? «It’s not her problem.»
So be aware. This facility does not stand by its work. They will do shoddy work or use cheap supplies and when there is a problem, they will tell you it isn’t their problem and refuse to see you. I’d be speechless, it is so far beyond the pale, but I found the words to type this.
Go elsewhere. Hell, go to CVS and get a needle and some thread (not actual medical advice). Anything is better than this. Disgusting attitude for a medical professional. Sickening.

This is the worst facility I have ever been to. You have to wait for ever for any minor thing. Avoid this if possible. I came here just because it was injury at work and my workman comp insurance provider only has US Healthworks as the network facility.
Here are my experiences:
Visit 1: Since it was work related injury I had to contact US Healthworks. They said it is just walk-​in for the first visit. I visited the San Leandro facility around 2:30. They said that it is more than 2 hours wait and Oakland has no wait. So went to Oakland. checked in around 3:00PM. There was a long wait for doctor, then long wait for X-​Ray. Again back and again long wait. It is an RN who treats you. I was out at 6:20PM after wasting 3hours and 20min. Telling you the truth there were only 4 people ahead of me but I still have no clue why I had to wait so long.
Visit 2: Checked in at 3:00PM for a 3:00PM appointment. Waited in the lobby till 3:25PM. Around 5 patients were there in the lobby. After 25 min of wait there the nurse showed me the smaller room to wait in. Now it is 4:18PM… I hour and 18 minutes wasted so far! Thought I will write this review and check if someone will be coming to treat me!
Final Update:
I would give 0 stars if possible. After 1 hour and 35min of wait for scheduled appointment, they looked at me. They also suggested to start physiotherapy for full recovery. I am now looking for other Physiotherapists since I hate wasting time waiting in doctor’s rooms. An hour and 35 minutes of wait for a scheduled appointment is unacceptable and inexcusable. The facility should understand that other’s time is valuable. The people there are helpful and nice — but all that goodwill is lost when you do not see a patient coming in for a scheduled visit within 30 min.

Be prepared to be here all day. My physical took forever. I waited half dressed in a gown to see the Dr for an hour. That’s after I waited 30 minutes just to see the nurse to check my stats. Not only does the facility make me want to go home and shower but no one ever seems to know where the Dr is.

Wait was a little long for my RX but no where near as bad as the U.S. Health Works in Daly City that place is a straight up dump! Oakport St location is nice clean and well organized! Great job all!

After reading all of the horrific reviews I was ready for one helluva bad experience… Thankfully, it wasn’t nearly as bad as everyone says.
The staff were courteous and professional, nothing over the top, but nice enough. I had a drug test done and they were helpful and efficient. I was in and out in about 25 mins with nothing to complain about!

Unprofessional staff. The wait was supposed to be 15 minutes for drug test, it has been over an hour and I am still here. Unfriendly staff and there are some crazy people that comes here. Please avoid this location for drug testing if you can.

They Open @ 7:00. I know how it can get busy cause I work in customer service so I get there @ (6:15 A. M). Why I can get to this place before the doctors and the people they call a nurse. Why Does It Take Over 1 Hour And I’m First One Here. She Gives Me One Paper @ A Time. Do U Know Your JOB. All She Is Talking About Is How She Went Out Over The Weekend. Shut up and work. I trying to get to work… They Call Two People Before Me Before I Ran Out Cause I Got A Life 2!!! U Don’t Want A Job your job. It’s only one person she said. So … I’m Only The First Person!!! I did the survey said too!!! Poor All The Way Down!!! Has She Handed Me Back My Paper Like Come Back!!! What!!! To Sit in Jerry Springer Lobby!!! Hell No!!! I’m calling my new Job Back And Tell Them They Doing Business With The Wrong Company!!!

This was the only place I could go based on my insurance. I didn’t expect NIH or Cleveland Clinic, so whatever. My doc was cool, I felt a little overzealous on what was wrong with me eg throwing out extremes from muscle pain to tumors on my kidneys. I understand, I guess. But when I went to get my script filled — CVS had to call them because his RX ID was bad, no one answered. 5 – 6 times no one picked up. I finally called into THIS number and got my doc.
When I was at the counter earlier I did see the staff ignoring calls while talking about what they were going to wear later. C’mon people.

If I could put less than a star I would. I cannot understand why it took over two hours for a TB test. I used to work at a clinic way busier than this one and we made sure not to have people wait more than 15 minutes for such a simple procedure. I didn’t get a chance to meet all the staff, but the front desk lady really needs to work on her costumer service skills (gives attitude when asked about wait times). Don’t trust the front desk if they say it’s only going to be a 25 – 30 minute wait, expect to wait several hours.
When I came back to get my TB read it only took 5 – 10 minutes, but when I asked if I could get a copy of my results they had me fill out a release and told me that I would have to come back to pick it up (which will never happen) or I could have it mailed or emailed me to. I don’t understand why they couldn’t make a copy when the copy machine is a couple feet away (making a copy would only take a couple minutes). Also, on top of that they said they would send my results to my agency, which still hasn’t happened yet.
I will never come back to this place, theres plenty of other clinics in Oakland and SF that provide way better service…

Over 3 hour wait after initial injury to be seen. Follow up visit wait was over an hour to be seen. Second follow up visit took 45 minutes to be seen. Last follow up I was waiting in the waiting-​room for 30 minutes before I asked how much longer to be seen. Receptionist attitude and reply of «I don’t know the doctor is running behind» told me to cancel the appointment and run.
Your company gets what they pay for cut rate staff and medical care.

So I had a scheduled Physical Exam yesterday for school on 4÷24÷2013 at 3:30pm. Since I was very free that day, I decided to go early to fill out paper work and if I’m lucky, be seen early. I get in around 12:50 — 1:00pm. I get check in and fill out paper work. Luckily they get me started early around 2:00 — 2:30pm. They draw my blood, take a urine sample, take my vitals and give me an eye exam. I waited in a room and a Doctor came in to hear my lungs. Things are going smooth and all I have left is to get an X-​Ray. As I am waiting in the room someone comes in and says that the X-​Ray Tech is on lunch, so I won’t be X-Ray’d until 1 hour to 1 hour and 15min from now. Fine, I’ll just wait in the lobby. I go to the front desk girl just to confirm and asked «so the x-​ray tech is out to lunch?» she says «yeah, she won’t be back for like an hour. I look at the time and it’s about 3pm. I decide to go eat in my car, chill and nap. I got back into the clinic around 3:50pm and they call me in for an x-​ray around 4:00 — 4:10 dressing room like closet wearing a backless shirt for the x-​ray. I waited there for like 10−20min. The x-​ray tech walks up to me and says that she’ll do the x-​ray now because i’ve been waiting and that she’s doing it off the clock, meaning she is still on lunch and hasn’t clocked in. She takes my x-​ray I tell her «thank you, and that I really appreciate it.» I was out of there by 4:40pm. Almost 5pm.
Everyone there was helpful and nice. My only complaint was the whole X-​Ray tech being out on lunch. I didn’t mind, but when they brought me back in a second time the girl was like, we called your name earlier. I’m thinking in my head that two girls told me that the X-​ray tech is out on lunch and won’t be back for an hour and when I do get back within 50min, the x-​ray tech is still on lunch. I waited like 15 – 20 minutes more and the x-​ray tech did my x-​ray while she was still on lunch? Someone or somewhere along the way there had to be a miscommunication or understanding of when the x-​ray tech is on lunch. Unless the x-​ray tech takes an hour and a half lunch.
Maybe me coming earlier helped me in the long run. Maybe if I came at my designated time I would have been out even later. Who knows. My experience there was great up until the x-​ray incident.

this is not a urgent care like i’m used to… as the «urgent care» patients are taken only after any appts or drug testing people are done which could be whenever who knows…
one person seems to be handling everything at the front. and it’s just really slow… while the «Dr’s» are sitting in their offices with nothing to do. texting or whatever… staff was nice. just slow and unprofessional
Front desk didnt even start processing my paperwork until 45 minutes after I handed it in.
Dr. came in barely looked at me… jammed thing in my ear so hard it hurt bad… I could have given my self a more thorough examine. so after 1 ½ hours of waiting. i had my 2 minute BS examine and was provided with a prescription for a medicine that had been discontinued. WTF?
Walgreen’s faxed them same day. no response, faxed them again next day, no response. I called the office and explained what happened was put on hold for 11 minutes, someone else picks up and asks what i’m holding for, i explain again, put on hold, a third person picks up and i explain again and i gave her the number to Walgreen’s we will see what happens…
better off going to the emergency room if needed… or find a urgent care that cares about it’s business and people. not professional at any point, will never be back.
