The employees here were great. We were in a minor accident on the freeway, which caused some damage underneath our car. Mike made an estimate on repairs, and was willing to work with us and our insurance company. After removing a plate so that he could see the damage better he gave us the option to have the car repaired at no cost or deductible to us. It was still safe to drive and not worth a lot of unnecessary work for something that did not show. We left very satisfied. I highly recommend this business!

Worst experience ever, it’s been almost a year and my claim still open because they don’t send the estimate and complete info that needs my insurance just go somewhere else and save your precious time.

Terrible customer service,
On my Lexus RX 350 they had to do some rear end work after someone hit me.
They told my they were going to use genuie Lexus part to fix my car they just didnt tell they were reconditioned Lexus parts.
When I picked up my car I could very clearly see that the truck door wasnt shutting properly and they agreed so I had to make another appointment to get that fixed.
After I got home I notice the rear bumper had bounced out of their clips and when I brought back my car to have the door adjusted they tried to fix the bumper. Waited a couple hours and they brought the car out to me 3 times asking me if it was OK. You could tap the bumper and it would pop out again. Spent over 4 hours waiting for them to fix it and they couldnt do it. They knew it wasn’t fixed but kept trying to say it was. Finally they said they would order new clips. Brought it back again, same thing. Got the manager involved who finally said they would order a new part and new clips, Brought it back again. Got Allstate involved who now OK;ed the work before they could call me.
Got the car again, a couple weeks later I went to use the rear window washer and they had forgot to connect it so the washer water started to spray inside my car. Had to take it back again to fix that and add on the rubber spacer on the door (they put one on one side but not the other), add the rubber liner to the door handle and had to realign the rear storage doors that wont open because they were squeezed together.
They were supposed to have all of the parts to fix my car and hoped to have it back to me in a few hours; here it is 3 days later and I had to call them to find out about my car. Guess what? they didnt order ALL the parts and now I am waiting until the last of the parts come in.
NEVER GO HERE!!!

Liberty mutual recommended the shop and paid for all of my repairs.
I refused my car twice due to poor repair work. The first time, the paint was not properly blended, causing raised surfaces. The tail lights were scratched and not replaced. The second time I asked to have my car put on the lift so I could inspect underneath. The piece they connected my bumper to was cracked and filled with putty. I pointed this out and the technician tried to convince me that this was normal. I requested that they replace that piece. I then got a phone call from the supervisor, telling me that they noticed a new Crack in my back light while the work was being done.
The shop had my car for a total of 15 days. They tried to pass off shoddy repair work and I’m really worried about the damage they did that I can’t see.
Their initial estimate to liberty mutual was $ 1300. By the time I drove my car off of their lot, it was $ 2600. The rise in costs were due to their lack of quality work.
Don’t use this shop.

They are professional and communicate the process well. Mike was a great person to work with. It is also easy to get in and out from freeway. I will use them again. I have a 2001 Acura and really love my car.

Went to this shop on Allstate’s recommendation. I had to take my car back to them 3 times in 2 weeks after they gave my car back to me and it is still not fixed. I ended up taking it elsewhere. The people are nice, but the experience was very frustrating. A tow truck driver I talked to later said that Service King has a reputation for not being good with new cars.

Service King did a wonderful job to my car. I was stressed out, due the accident and they eased all my worries. The customer sevice was awesome and the work done to my car was great. I would recommend this place for anyone that need all of there needs and concerns met. Thanks Service King.

I gave 1 star because you can’t give zero. These people are a joke. Their repair work was good but their paint job is a joke. After multiple attempts the color is still incorrect so I’m taking my car to another shop to be redone and Service King gets to foot the bill.

I am so glad I was referred to Service King! Great staff here. Mo is the BEST!!! He was able to take my car in the same day I made my claim. He is really down to earth, friendly, informative and his service is 2^nd to none!!! He let me know step-​by-​step what was going on with my car and was instrumental in helping me in any way he could. I got my car back in a timely manner and for the 1^st time I can actually say I trusted my mechanic.

Mike is awesome too! He was very thorough in letting me know what was was going on with my car. When I came to pick it up, it was spic and span. Nice surprise!

Ryan/​Chris is a rockstar. He was on top of the repairs, kept me informed and went the extra mile.

Went here on recommendation of ALLSTATE. Supposed to get a call when they received my car. NO call. Had to call them 3 days later to hear they need papers signed before they can look into it. (thanks for letting me know) Then was told a finish deadline of 12 days, and I would be getting updates every couple days with progress reports. NEVER got a call. Called them the day before to confirm it would be ready on the estimated day. Told it would be, everything is in and just needs last minute assembly. Next day (supposed to be finished) told they ordered the wrong bumper and it would be 2 – 3 more days. Promised to cover extra costs of rental car for everything past estimated date of completion. 2 – 3 days later, bumper wrong color, needs paint. 2 – 3 days later, don’t have radiator mounts in still. Ended up taking a full 8 days past that, with NO updates and every time I called there was something new that was delaying it. Finally told it was ready to go, went to pick up and there is STILL several pieces of trim not on or even delivered yet (thought it was all in 8 days ago??)
Fine. I need my car. Ill come back for the trim.
THE DAY AFTER I GOT IT BACK. Radiator blows because they did not apply the clamp for the main radiator hose! WTF? $ 175 and 4 hours of my time later They take my car for another 5 days to recheck everything they did and make sure they didn’t screw up anything else. Promised the 8 days of extra rental car reimbursement and all costs of extra repair due to their MISTAKE. (about $ 400) Finally got car back June 30^th.
It is now September 4^th and I still have no reimbursement as promised, and I have called 5 times to check and EVERY time Manager Abel has no information. First time said its all gone through should be within next few days. Then he was going to check into it and promised to email me a picture of the status of the claim. Another 3 weeks and he says there’s nothing he can do, and I am not allowed to contact anyone above him to see for myself.
THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. WISH THERE WAS A ZERO STAR.
Way overshot finish day, never gave me any kind of a clue as to what was happening with my car. Did not put things together properly and cant fulfill promises they give to make right their awful service and incompetent workmanship.
People who are in an accident need someone to help make their lives easier. NOT to dick us around and make us waste more of our money.

I came in to have my exhaust, windshield and bumper replaced after an encounter with a rock on the road. I worked with my insurance company (Allstate 5 stars for them) to get my claim and repair started. After speaking with my rep & looking at reviews on Unilocal/​Google this place looked promising.
Making an appointment was easy and the communication was good. That was the only good thing about this place.
I worked with Jose on identifying the scope of work and scheduling out the repair. The scope included repainting/​repairing the bumper, replacing a windshield, and replacing/​fixing the exhaust system. I told Sterling Auto Body specifically the exhaust system was dealer installed SPT exhaust. I handed over the keys and left.
The next day I received a call stating that the bumper would need to be replaced due to a textured part that they could not fix. I inquired about the exhaust and windshield and was told windshield would be replaced by a third party, while the exhaust has been ordered.
Within a few days I was told the exhaust has arrived and would be installed the following day. Sterling called stating the wrong exhaust was ordered and will take a few days to get the correct part ordered. I was fine with this and asked them to call me when all the work is completed and the car is ready to be picked up.
The next call I received was them asking if I had spare keys for the vehicle — they lost my keys, key fob and key chain (STI keychain). I was understanding and brought the spare keys in to get them replaced. They replaced them at no cost but took an additional week to get the car back.
Sterling completed all the work done after 2.5 weeks, something that should have taken about 8 hours to complete. I went to inspect the car — the work appeared to be good at the time. I took the keys and left.
Now only a few months after the work has been completed the paint is peeling entirely off the bumper. They didn’t use a primer! I have about 1 foot by 1 foot piece of paint missing from the bumper. I also recently noticed that they replaced the windshield with an ugly blue 6 inch tint. I didn’t notice it but now it might be too late.

I was so happy with the service that I wanted to write a Unilocal review. It had been a long time since I needed auto body work (recent accident) and didn’t know what to expect. I found the staff to be extremely customer service oriented — helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. My car was even ready a day earlier than they had first estimated. Nice!

Their customer service gets 1 * .They did not communicate well with each other. I was headed to pick my car up, which they called to tell me would be ready the night before. I called for their hours when I was on my way… all to find out the car was NOT ready. As far as their work… my bumper is detaching from the body and I am currently looking for a better place to take it to. Yes they offer a warranty on their work but I don’t ever want to go back there.

I am very happy with my service at Sterling! I was rear ended. I went in on Monday and had the damages looked over. I was told to come back Tuesday so that they would be sure that Enterprise would have a rental car ready and waiting. I dropped my car off before work on Tuesday. I received a call by lunch time with an estimate… damaged door, bumper, spare cage, cover.
I was updated on Friday morning that they were putting my car back together and it would be ready for pick up by Monday or Tuesday because there were other cars in front of mine. By 4:45pm I got another call saying that my car was ready for pick up… 4 DAYS EARLY!
My rear door, spare cage and bumper looked factory new. The only downfall is that the rest of the car isn’t as pretty. ((Guess I need to go back and have them paint the rest of the car)) :-))

Don’t Do it!
I brought my car in after being rear ended on July 14^th and was told 9 days. During the first week I got regular updates from Lisa about progress. The work was delayed several more days for a part. Then all communication stopped. (I later learned that Lisa was on Vacation) I had to start calling in to see when my car would be ready. Calls were not returned.
Each time I spoke to someone and they told me where they were on the work, it sounded like nothing had been done.
It took 30 days to get my car back! Now I have to go back because my tail lights don’t work. «If it is electrical, they will have to send it out.» Now I have to get my own rental car and deal with all of the inconvenience.
I think the problem was already known, my dash lights didn’t seem quite right and the hustled me out do fast I had to make them finish putting the trunk in my hatch back together, but it was a bright day and I missed the tail light issue. but they were so close to totaling out my car that they decided not to fix it. Now I am stuck with a depreciated vehicle that doesn’t work right instead of getting my car’s value and driving a new one.
I strongly do not recommend this shop!!! I just happen to be stuck with them for warranty work now.

This is an update to my July 29, 2013 review. I had the pleasure of speaking with J.C. Hoffman, Regional Director for Sterling regarding the issues I encountered. Mr. Hoffman was apologetic, and understood my frustration with the process I experienced and assured me that is NOT how Sterling does business.
After talking to Mr. Hoffman, I felt that the issues I had would be adequately addressed, and if I ever have occasion to need their service again, my experience WILL BE a 5 star experience. I must say that the work performed on my car was impeccable, hence my rating upgrade from 1 to 4 stars.
