Kevin’s Gardening Service

These guys did a great job in getting my yard ready for the sale of my house. We had a slight misunderstanding about what work was to be done, but Kevin sent his charming young son over within two days to correct the issue.

I’m so relieved! For over a year I’ve been looking for regular yard maintenance and gardening services. Within a moderate price range what you often find are outfits that are flakey or uncommunicative, often lacking attention to detail. I’ve had two visits from Kevin and his crew, one being a first time big clean-​up. My yard looks fantastic. Kevin stands apart from what has become this languid state of yard maintaining. He is communicative, detail-​oriented, personable, competitively priced, and is happy to receive feedback on his work. Everybody has different concerns and problem areas for their respective garden, and Kevin is interested in knowing the particulars of each job. I would highly recommend renouncing any poor-​mediocre services in which you and your plants have been held hostage. Kevin was very punctual and his team did a great job with two different properties. Our rental property’s backyard was overgrown with weeds and they did a superb job. At our house, they quickly cleaned up all of the little weeds that had sprung up. They do a very thorough job.

Can I give these guys 6 stars? WOW! we had a very overgrown ¼ acre and they completely cleaned it all up. they also hand weeded around plants that we wanted to keep, and didn’t harm any of them. It was an overwhelming amount of work but they got the job done! they did an incredible amount of work and basically made me fall in love with our property again. Kevin was a pleasure to work with, punctual and stuck to his very competitive estimate. My neighbors are incredible impressed.
I would hire them again for routine maintenance without hesitation!

El Niño rains created a weed jungle in my yard. Kevin’s team cleared out the weeds and the weird little mushrooms. They worked with my schedule. I plan to use their services for upkeep.

We have a creek side house with difficult access and Kevin’s crew was able to trim out the trees drag everything up and remove all the branches and stumps and cleaned up the area super clean.

Mr. Kevin transformed my 1,500 square feet of dead lawn into a black bark oasis lined with cobblestone along the sidewalk and stepping stones connecting the side gate to the sidewalk! His crew arrived on time, and the project only took 3 days. I get dozens of yard work flyers in the mail but this is one I’m glad I responded to because he kept the job simple and on budget.

I looked for a good gardener for months, and I finally found one I like with Kevin.
He’s punctual, friendly, quick to respond (I sent him a text well after work hours, and he responded almost instantly), and very attentive to detail. He’ll offer up his wealth of insight on what’s best, but is completely open to doing things however you ask.
I initially called him to clean up an overgrown yard, and he and his team went above and beyond — they cleaned areas I hadn’t thought to mention (like a gap between our fence and a shed which had been filled with leaves and muck for years; its now spotless), and saved me hours of work. Kevin rocks.

Mr. Kevin and his crew did a fabulous clean-​up on my yard as well as my next-door-neighbour’s yard. They arrived on time, took care of the work and hauled everything away. His price was reasonable and the work is tops!

Kevin is dependable and does great maintenance work. He takes pride in his work and it shows.

Minimum of hassle to trim shrubs and lower tree limbs to help prevent a fire spreading in the hills during this drought. Kevin and his helper did a good job and cleaned up after the trimming. I am pleased.
The price was FAIR.

Kevin does a great job and is very friendly. He removed an old tree and all the dead brush and added a nice border, mulch, rocks, planted a new tree and drought tolerant plants, all at a reasonable price. We also use him for regular maintenance.

Mr. Kevin is awesome. I received a flyer at my home about his services. I called Mr. Kevin and set up an appointment to view the property. Mr. Kevin was on time. He surveyed the property and instinctively knew what I wanted. After meeting with him, I didn’t bother to call around and check other landscapers. Mr. Kevin was hired. Mr. Kevin cleared the weeds and high grass from the front and back yards of the property. It was a HOT day, but he and his assistant kept working. The property looks great! Kevin is a professional, friendly and all around great guy. I called three separate landscaping companies for a lawn replacement job. Not only was Kevin’s estimate the cheapest but he seemed to have the most knowledge as well. I highly recommend Kevin’s gardening service.

Kevin is our third gardener at our current residence and my husband and I both agree that Kevin’s Gardening Service is excellent. What do I mean by that? I’ve learned that not all gardeners in the medium-​price range are the same — despite the fact that Kevin’s rates are less than half of what the top-​tier gardeners with sophisticated knowledge of native plants, etc. may charge, Kevin is a true professional and knows what he is doing with my native plant garden. He knows how to care for and prune all of our plantings, and doesn’t come in to do a quick blow and cut job like the other lower-​cost gardeners we had in the past. When Kevin comes, he takes great care to do a thorough job, grabs your attention if he sees you to ask if you have any particular requests, and asks for feedback — «how am I doing», etc. Kevin is also very responsive when you call him and is so easy to reach — by text message or phone. I highly recommend Kevin’s Gardening Service.
