History
Established in 2011.
Fill Me In specializes in anxiety reduction among adult English language learners, which improves their use and understanding of English. By using an experiential approach to learning, students become more comfortable using their English-speaking skills in practical situations. Because there’s a disconnect between classroom learning and real world use of language, we ensure students get out and get it all — raw. That’s right! The grocery store: we go there. The post office: we go there. The local café: we go there. The gym or neighborhood hardware store: we visit those, too.
For middle– and high-schoolers, homeschooling, tutoring, and homework help are offered. As well, we offer basic editing and proofreading services for professionals and college students; paper-writing assistance is offered, too.
Meet the Business Owner
Kenisha C.
Business Owner
Kenisha appreciates the practical use of language, and wants to pay forward the same courtesies shown her in Dakar, Senegal. Not only did the innkeeper and her staff explain how to get around, they took her out and taught her how to shop, travel, barter, entertain and protect herself, and to try to enjoy the people and place around her. That kind of hand-holding gave her the confidence to maneuver around Dakar, and it’s one of the methods she uses to build the confidence of her students.
She identifies weak areas, and helps you strengthen them. The not-too-prudent writer: she’ll help you. The professional with mechanically defunct marketing materials: she’ll help you. The high schooler who wants to stop earning low marks; wants to exit remedial courses; is in danger of not graduating; or wants to avoid a parent’s wrath: she’ll help you. The student who earned high marks in high school, but performs poorly in college: she’ll help you, too.
