our older macbook pro was in desperate need of a new battery and hard drive. Ryan came out on a Saturday morning and did a great job replacing both. He was efficient, knowledgeable and personable — highly recommend!!!

My two favorite words, when describing a superior vendor, are Kindness and Competence. Mathew cares deeply about the service he provides. I know this to be true. Today I needed very detailed instructions on how to find a file. Mathew was patience and determine to help me solve the problem. I can now prepare the materials for my CPA.

Very happy with the service & working with my mess of iTunes/​Music etc. There were things he was able to do to get me straightened out that I would never have figured out for myself, despite being fairly tech savvy. I would have no hesitation in using Easy Mac for any future issues.

Wow! What great service. I was looking for assistance in setting up a new iMac as well as upgrading 2 other macs. I set up an appointment and Rick contacted me within an hour to get more detail. He was wonderful. Rick showed up on time and was well prepared. He was able to explain to me everything that had been done in easy to understand language. He worked quickly and got everything up and running exactly as I had requested. I had a couple of questions after Rick left. I contacted him by email and he quickly answered my questions. I had initially contacted another company that worked in the Tri Valley area but never got a response. Found Easy Macintosh Support on Unilocal and I am now recommending them to all of my friends in the area. Thank you for such great service.

Matthew offers impeccable customer service! He agreed to help me with a very difficult and risky LVDS cable repair that my MacBook Air required, and cared so much about the quality of the repair that he swallowed some extra unforeseen costs that had not been in the original quote. The extra time needed to make it perfect meant that I ended up leaving town for a scheduled move before the repair was finished. Matthew made sure my beloved computer made it to me safe and sound and took care of the shipping too. Now my computer is back in my hands, and in great shape. Thank you so much Matthew! We are becoming old friends at this point. My ancient Mac Pro (the first one Apple ever produced) finally bit the dust. Long story short: After me basically ignoring Matt’s recommendation on a replacement, many emails, visits, returns on my part, more emails, hand holding, I ended up with exactly what I needed. Matt has integrity, fair prices and he’s a really nice guy.

First off Matt was very timely in his response.
I had a problem with my iMac. Which is strange because I don’t use it much and only use it for basics (web surfing, chat, spreadsheets etc) so it was strange when my computer just would not turn on at all. I thought my only option was to take it to the apple store for an «out of warranty» check up for god knows how much and how long I would have to wait. Did a quick Unilocal search for the hell of it and Easy Macintosh Support was the first thing that popped up with all its rave reviews. No brainer for me to give them a call. I listed out the symptoms asked if it deserved a house visit for a fix. Matt asked me to try something to see if it did the trick (over email) and it did! Strange but it works even better than before.
I asked if I can leave a donation or anything because out of good faith I wanted to do something, as I was ready to pull my hair out and turns out he is actually a director as well! He also represents Oakland very much which I can appreciate and hope he gets put on the map.
Well thank you Matt for being a Mac genius, and although my donation isn’t much I hope it helps to hit your overall goal.

MacBook Air how I love you so… let me count the ways. 1) Fast 2) Sleek 3) Smart 4) Smooth 5) Light 6) You never let me downnnnn… OH BUT YOU DID!
First my display had 2 lines (on the bottom so no biggie) …then 3… then 4,5,6 and a vertical line!
I took the machine to Apple and I was going to have to leave it. Uh, no. I use my machine for work. Can’t leave it. So I looked on Unilocal.Over the years I’ve written several reviews but don’t put a ton of faith in the system when it comes to computer repair. Matt had a ton of positive reviews and after engaging him to fix my Mac I understand why. He responds to every email and timely. He showed up at my home with a positive vibe and attitude and got the job done. He charges by the hour and fixed me up in 15 minutes. $ 100 for the new install seems reasonable but $ 100 for 15 minutes with a 1 hour minimum… well you do the math. House call, good family dude, worth every dollar and then some. I highly recommend Matt. He’s a man of his word which is difficult to find these days.
Matt takes notes on the issues too. He’s meticulous. He even recycles! Call him. He’s awesome.

Matt is great and a real expert at his craft!
He made a house-​call for an iMac HD replacement and ended up helping me with some other unrelated issues & questions, all in the same paid hour. He explains things in an easy way for the end-​user to understand, whether you’re a techie type or a basic user. He’s also been very helpful with some follow-​up questions, at no extra charge!
I would recommend him for individuals, small businesses 7 large businesses; without reservation.
Did i mention that he also advised me on some home networking issues and helped me streamline my home network?
He’s also happy to teach you things during the repairs and doesn’t mind you looking over his shoulder :)

I wish there were 10 stars. Matt has an easy and efficient solution to problems. A competitor told me they’d have to go into the walls to hardwire an extension for our wifi (messy and expensive!). Matt had a solution that uses the existing electrical wires (brilliant) and it works amazingly well. Now we can use our wifi downstairs to get clear fast internet, airplay, etc. when before we could not, even with repeaters.
He ALSO solved a mystery on my Mac where I could not save an outgoing email to an «outbox» when not connected to the internet. I tried the Genius Bar at the Apple Store, nada. I called Apple tech support and spoke with a variety of «experts» there for a cumulative hour, with no resolution. In 10 minutes, Matt figured it out, and fixed it.
He came to SF from Oakland and only charged an extra $ 10. Well worth it.
I am now a big fan of Matt and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone.

My husband tried using our MacBook and the trackpad wouldn’t click. A few days later I go to use the MacBook and the trackpad is pushed out and totally cracked! Turns out the battery basically exploded and thus pushed out towards the trackpad, damaging it.
I have been super busy lately and knew I would not have time to get to a Mac Store during business hours to get it fixed anytime soon, but I worried about it getting worse — who knows if the battery would expand more and damage other parts in the computer. I searched Unilocal hoping for an answer and found Easy Macintosh Support. I emailed and heard back from Matt, who asked for a photo of the damage and the laptop’s serial number (I assume this it to look up the correct parts). He gave me an estimate, I agreed to it, he ordered the parts and a few days later we scheduled a date and time for him to fix it.
Matt was running a bit late but called me 30 minutes before our schedule time to let me know, which I appreciated. Once he arrived, he was friendly and professional. I cannot stress enough how convenient it is that he can make house calls! I have no PTO hours left at work, but I didn’t have to take any time off of work at all to get my laptop fixed. I just worked from home while he fixed our laptop right up.
I could not be more pleased. The bonus? This experience with my laptop reminded me how I really needed to back up my files. The laptop has three years worth of stuff and I have not backed it up. Awful, I know! Matt gave me a fantastic recommendation of a service for backing up my files.
The next time my laptop needs fixing, I’ll be calling Matt for sure.

InHomeMAC saved my life.
I have an ’08 Macbook (the black plastic case). One day out of nowhere it stops working, it wouldn’t get passed the grey Apple screen. I didn’t want to get too technical but I was able to access a Windows partition of my hard-​drive so I knew at least part of it was working. My AppleCare Protection long expired so I wanted to find a better/​cheaper alternative to taking it to the Apple Store. InHomeMac was what I found from my Unilocal research and close to where I worked.
Matt took a look and said it would take a day to perform a $ 100 diagnostic and determine what kind of repairs were needed. After a day he determined my hard-​drive was bad so he charged me $ 100 for a 500GB hard-​drive. I was sweating because I’ve never backed up my data before and my life is on that laptop, but Matt was able to save all my data.
He didn’t transfer any applications to the new hard-​drive in case those were causing the problems but when installing the hard-​drive he upgraded my Mac OS with Lion (the highest level OS that my older computer would support) and was able to get me more recent versions of the applications I had before.
All and all I’m pretty sure that the repairs would have cost more than $ 200 if I went to Apple, so I’m happy and my laptop has been working well since.
