Brently was very professional and new his stuff. He removed our LIVE opossum in our wall with little mess and destruction. He caged it and took care of it humanely — yes, very humanely. I appreciate his attention to detail looking all (and I mean all) over our house to see where he/​she could have snuck in. I really appreciate him and his services. YES, I would highly recommend him.

Very professional, well mannered, thorough assessment… quite knowledgable. Price was within normal limits. All in all if I have another problem somewhere I’ll call them again. My problem was a critter in the attic. The gentleman was fine with me wanting a one why trap to get critter out by not killing it. He’s even coming back for the one way trap… meaning they can go out but not back in. Then he’ll be back to take trip and patch area.

Just like they said on Unilocal,I called and left a message. Brently Tolliver called me back within 30 minutes and arrived at my door within another hour. He took care of the dead deer at 1l/​3 the price of other dead animal removal companies. I highly recommend him.

We had trouble with skunks coming through our yard and bothering our dogs. I searched on Unilocal for pest control and so glad I contacted Bently’s Critters service. We had a great experience working with him. He was very responsive and the whole process went smoothly. He sets out the trap and by the next morning it was picked up. Very happy with this service!

After waiting two days for animal control to remove a dead skunk, we called Critters. Brently came out on a Friday night within about an hour to remove the dead skunk. He took great care and cleaned up the area. His customer service is what customer service should be.

I had a raccoon coming through my cat door. I called Brently at night and he returned the call the next morning and was there that same afternoon and set a trap. The raccoon was caught that night. Brently came by later that next day, removed the raccoon and set the trap up again in case there was another. We waited a few days and nothing so he came back and removed the trap. It took a few calls to get him to come back to get the trap but no big deal – super nice guy, very pleasant and my problem was resolved quickly.

I woke up to the sound of scratch-​scratching in the attic over my head, it was so loud I assumed it must be a raccoon or some other sort of animal. Not having any idea who to call, I tried searching on Unilocal for «animal control» and came upon Critters. I called at 7:30am, had my msg returned promptly, and Brently was at my house a few house hours later. I was very impressed by his professionalism and attention to detail; he was extremely careful not to leave any dust or footprints after crawling around in the attic and roof and was very courteous and polite with answering my questions. It turned out to be birds rather than raccoons or rats (phew!) and he sealed up any entry points to the house that he found. It’s been a couple weeks and I haven’t heard anything since. The flat rate was a bit pricey for my relatively simple issue, but would have included a return trip if needed. There aren’t a lot of other options that I’m aware of, and Brently is a very nice gentleman to work with.

Great company, extremely knowledgeable, and understanding, with fair pricing. They where even able to come out same day. After capturing a couple vermin from underneath my basements crawl space they then sealed off multiple entry points around the home even my husband overlooked. I was satisfied with the work done by Critters, very honest friendly service and I would recommend them to any one who needs some sort of pest control service. Thanks Again!

Removed a dead skunk from under the deck ($ 80 I think) and set a trap which never caught the family that comes there. Additionally, he said he’d erect a barrier to stop them from getting under the house and he did not. He never caught anything, did not do what he said he would and well, you just can’t prepay for his service as he did not follow through. Nice guy and all but… I cannot recommend his service. Maybe I’ll just buy my own trap, but it was very disappointing given the ratings and reviews and ultimately the cost.

Brentley was very nice and seemed knowledgable when he came out to look at our rat problem and took our payment (unfortunately paid in full in advance). But he did not do the work to seal our house and did not respond to many many phone calls and texts to ask about progress and when he would come back to our house. When he did finally call back he was unapologetic and made further promises he did not keep. I have no idea what was going on with him as other people seem to have had good experiences, but we could not recommend him. We finally had to hire another company to take care of the problem.

Texted and called first thing letting the owner know an animal was in the trap. He let the animal sit until 5pm. I realize the animal is going to be killed but to make him sit in a cage without food or water all day is not humane. New trap set — food disappeared without triggering the trap. Called asking to replace it. 6 (yes 6) days later he finally came by to swap the trap. Meanwhile my yard is getting torn up and I’m smelling skunk all day. What a joke. Buy your own trap for $ 70 and pay the SPCA $ 20 to take the catch away. Waaay cheaper and better service.

Brently came, set the traps the very next day after I called. Two trapped skunks later my yard is no longer being dug up. He came out quick, picked the skunks up quick and was very friendly in person and on the phone. Very happy with the service.

Brently Tolliver, the owner, came out the morning we called. He set traps and handled the problem. We paid him in full on the first visit. He said he’d come back several times and he did to make sure the pest problem had been solved. It was. We recommend him highly.

We recently had a skunk family take up residence in our home’s crawl space. We called Bentley and he promptly came out, trouble shot, and set traps. It took several days to trap multiple skunks, but he was always responsive and came out to pick up traps as quickly as he could. He also added a latch to crawl space door to secure it. Great service and worth the fee!

Owner Brently is extremely professional. He is the person who can take your worry away when you find raccoon in house.
I had originally another company from Concord to take care but they were unresponsive, not punctual and sometimes rude. I really felt extremely tense.
I had to call Brently to take care of left baby raccoon which was left after other raccoons were captured and removed.
1) He came with trap, to trap baby raccoon. He went in crawlspace. He found that raccoon dead and he removed it. He said no more raccoon crawlspace
2) He fixed meshes at two places in crawlspace from inside. He went in with his tools in crawlspace.
3) I have deck. He fixed gap below deck with mesh, concrete and rocks. His work is neat.
Note:
Raccoon removal is expensive. This company is relatively cheaper. Also, once captured raccoon are euthanized.

These guys came and took an opossum out of my attic. They were quick to call back (although there was a bit of phone tag) and were able to come out the next day, which was great. They set «have a heart» traps and caught the opossum the next day. I called at 4pm on a Friday to see if they could pick up the scared little guy and Brently came out at 6pm that day, like a pro. Best of all, they cleaned up all the opossum poo strewn about the attic, which was almost worth the $ 210 charge in and of itself. [FWIW, I called 2 other places who quoted me more than double this to remove the opossum].
I’m deducting one star b/​c I assumed, based on having «humane» in their name, that they’d release the little guy in a forest somewhere (maybe I’m naïve here) but they actually take them to be killed at a state facility b/​c the state considers them pests. Sort of wish that would have been more apparent from the website.

What to you do when a baby squirrel falls down one of those pipes on your roof and is thrashing around in the vent hood over the stove? Don’t call a traditional pest control company — most are not licensed for live animal trapping. By luck, I came across Critters Human Animal Control and its owner, Brently Tolliver. Brently came over immediately and tried several creative techniques to encourage the squirrel to make a safe exit. When that didin’t work, he toiled tirelessly to come up with another plan. Fortunately, the day ended well, and it was great to see the little baby scamper off, a little shaky but none the worse for wear. And then Brently installed screens over all of the vent pipes to prevent a recurrence. Brently is a good man who does this work because he really believes in it. I would call upon him again in a heartbeat.

We live near Lake Chabot and recently had a squirrel problem in our attic. After a disappointing visit by a national chain (read 1 trap for $ 400 and no patching of holes), and our own failed attempts to remedy the situation, we decided to try an independent local company.
We were very pleased with the service by Critters Humane Animal Trapping. Bradley was professional, friendly and attentive. He found and patched the hole (they chewed a hole through our gutter and into the house!) and promptly removed the trapped squirrels. In addition, the price reasonable and we got the added bonus of supporting a local business.
I would recommend Critters Humane Animal Trapping to any others in the East Bay with similar problems (I’m sure we aren’t the only ones).
