Update: Neil their salesman and technician came out and inspected their installers work. He measured and noted that their installers didn’t put enough insulation in the attic. He Rescheduled within a few days to get their best crew back out here and made sure it was done right. The owner came too with Neil and the installers. He apologized for his company’s work and honestly wanted to make everything right. He also agreed to replace the oil damaged pavers in my driveway from their leaky vehicle. I am happy with the work they did today and will be completely satisfied once the damaged pavers are replaced.

the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Good: Sales technician Neil was prompt, courteous, and thorough on his inspection. He worked with us on the price (20% higher than others) to get inline with other attic companies on removal of old R-​13 insulation and put new R-​38 insulation in our attic. Removal and installation teams were on time during time window given.
Bad: Insulation «minimum thickness» according to Greenfiber cellulose manufacturer was suppose to be around 11−1/3″ initially, but wasn’t even 8″ in highest points. The install crew lost two 30lb bags of cellulose on I680 on the way over almost causing an accident they told me, because their boss doesn’t give them proper straps to tie down them. The removal crews blower to remove the old fiber broke down after stopping every 10 minutes, that they had to leave to get another one to finish the job. It started to rain on install day, so I provided the installers with tarps and a large umbrella to have a dry area for their blower/​shredder that was duct taped together. They had to borrow my shopvac and brooms to cleanup properly.
Ugly: Their equipment. Don’t let them park or turn around in your driveway! Removal crew’s truck was leaking old black oil badly and dripped across my brand new pavers, and puddled heavily where they parked. They also must be using retreads on truck or trailer as it left dark black tread marks all the way across my circular driveway. I immediately put degreaser on the spots that evening, scrubbed it next day, and even power washed them a couple days later. The tread marks aren’t as visible, but the oil stains are still there and visible.
Bottom line: The owner needs to get better equipment and training for his workers. I feel empathy for his workers having to use crappy equipment and lack of supplies (tarps, straps, shopvac, brooms) and training.

Alonso and Gerardo of Attic Pro did a great job cleaning attic and prep for new insulation. I would use then again. JRM

Nir came to do the estimate. He was very professional and explained clearly the steps they will do. He also offered different options and does not push you to pick certain choices. He did a thorough walk-​through and went to check out every area closely. The quote was reasonable and their schedule were open.
The customer service rep was great as well, responding to email quickly.
Alonso came today with several people to do the work order. All of them were friendly and polite. (I wish I remember all of their names. blaming jetlag and lack of sleep) They worked hard and I can tell they take their time to make sure every step is done well.
I really like how well they covered the floor, stairs and surrounding room with plastic covers. They keep the area clean and checked to make sure they didn’t leave a mess afterwards.
Tomorrow they are coming back to do the last part (some more rodent proof and putting in new insulation). I will check my review as needed.

I called AtticPros to remove the old insulation, clean/​sanitize the attic, rodent proof, put in new cellulose insulation and perform air ducts cleaning. Jeremy arrived on time to provide an estimate and gave a reasonable price. He also discussed the pros and cons of different insulation types and was able to schedule the work to be done in the same week. On the day of the work, Kareem led a 3 – 4 men crew with Jermy and Carmelo. They were on time and very professional. Kareem would provide a brief update on every step he completed and explained the next step. We were very happy with their work.

I reached out to AtticPros for a free estimate to clean-​up my attic, get rid of a rodent issue, and re-​insulate the attic. Nir was running late for the appointment and I was a bit annoyed juggling waiting for him and attending meetings but once he showed up he was very courteous, professional, and most of all honest to the point. The quote was within the realm of reality compared to other contractors and his approach and communication conveyed honesty and professionalism. Even though I decided to go with a different contractor who is local to support more local business I will go back and deal with AtticPros anytime if Nir is an accurate representation of this company.

Had Attic Pro install a moisture barrier in our crawl space. Had a small issue with installation, but Gary came back and made it right. I appreciate their effort to do a good job and to make the customer happy!

The day after Thanksgiving, I noticed a foul smell in our Palo Alto California home. I knew we had a rodent problem because I would some scurrying at rain in our attic off and on for the last year. In the next 4 – 5 days after the I discovered the strong foul smell
I contacted several companies and individuals including exterminators, handy men, and home duct servicers through Thumbtack. I also found some attic insulators on Unilocal
Attic Pros was the most thorough in their investigation. Ohad was very professional and his presentation of the problem convinced me to go with Attic pros. Ohad not only took photos of the rat nests and feces, but he went into the crawl space to do some further investigation. We have two small attics on two different levels; he showed me where the rats traveled from the two attics. He explained to me that this rat problem wasn’t recent problem but an ongoing problem that the previous owners never addressed. There was evidence that the previous owners hired some exterminators who left some traps and poison in the attic, but it didn’t solve the problem.
The 3 man crew led by Luis work as fast they could. Later two other guys showed up to help finish up the work.
All in all, I highly recommend them.
When hiring a crew make sure to ask for licenses and if they have insurance and is bonded.
Attic Pros has all this covered.
Best of all, Attic Pros has a 5 year warranty which is 4 more years than other service providers were willing to give.

My roof is a tile roof which is 30+ yr old. So is the state of my attic. When I called in for a free estimate, Leo (owner) came in and did an inspection. He suggested that a blow in type of insulation is not a good one and recommended r-​38 batts. Main reason for me brining them in is, the fact that there are too many rats. Leo promised good work. They did good job of cleaning attic and doing installation. But then I heard rats again 3 days after.
When i contacted Leo about same, he responded very well, by sends people twice in same day, just to have extra pair of eyes. They placed on traps and got three of them.
Only problem i had here was, i need to check the attic everyday to make sure there is no activity of any sort. But i think this is something we have to do proactively as they cannot come in everyday to see whats going on. I think they could have done little better is sealing the entry points, which they are gonna attend next week. Other than that, i really appreciate the commitment of Leo to customers, in delivering the best. I am hoping the next appointment would be last.

Alex and Richard climbed into our hard to get-​to attic (as in: use a long ladder from outside the house, then wiggle through a vent into the attic) and cleaned that darn attic and fixed holes. We had rodent issues for a while and had been laying traps and our handyman had to fix holes, but still the rats were partying every evening. We needed experts. Alex and Richard found more entry points and closed them properly and cleaned and sanitized the attic very thoroughly. We are positive that this will have taken care of the unwanted parties.

I HIGHLY recommend AtticPros! I first called for an estimate and Leo came out to take a look at my attic for insulation issues. He was straightforward and honest and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need and offered a couple of solutions if I was looking to save a bit of money. He clearly identified what the problems were (which is my old house with very old insulation was about 8 inches too thin!)
I thought I’d do my due diligence and get a couple of more estimates. Attic Pros was not only very reasonably priced, they were also the most professional company that came out (didn’t leave a mess, cleaned up, laid out tarp, etc) so I decided to book with them. I called and lucky me! Leo said he could get his guys out that same day.
Alex and Gary were the guys who came out to do the work. Both showed up with a smile, and complete professionalism. They explained to me exactly what they were going to do, told me what to expect and showed me the insulation they were using and the height for the correct R-​rating (they took before and after pictures to show me the work). They were fast and efficient, and respectful of my home and the fact that I had a 10-​month old (who at some point needed to take a nap so they kept their voices down).
After the work was done, they cleaned up everything and asked me if it was okay to vacuum before they started (baby was a awake by then). Kudos to Alex and Gary for the great work and I am glad to have done business with them! Looking forward to a warmer house and lower energy bills!

These guys were very good at dealing with our rat problem in the attic. They set up plastic sheeting to contain the mess and cleaned up all their work. Guaranteed for five years. The men that worked in our home were young but professional and respectful.

AtticPros did my duplex attic with R38 after roofers changed the original roof. AtticPros cleaned out the roof debris and rat mess. The attic looks good and smells good. They blew in R100 on my side of the duplex, so I’ll be nice and toasty warm\cool.

We’re so glad we chose Attic Pros for our attic cleaning, or attic «exorcism», as it turned out to be in our case. Like most people, the attic is the attic is the attic … We do not use it, we don’t access it, it is truly taken for granted. But like the last child in a family of 10, it is not to be overlooked.
We had been noticing issues with slight odor and allergies for the past few years and hadn’t given the attic much thought until a contractor mentioned how badly it was maintained. We then consulted about half a dozen companies specializing in attic cleaning and settled on Attic Pros. The rep was genuine and the price was extremely competitive, compared to all other companies.
Alonzo, Gerardo, and Luis showed up right on time and promptly attacked the situation. Alonzo and his team were very professional, courteous, and let me know what was going on during each step, taking pictures during the process for our own records. What was to be one day turned into two full days. Normally this would be an issue but the more they were cleaning it out, the more it turned out needed to be done. Our attic was the equivalent of the House of Horrors, layers and layers of poorly laid insulation and random sticks. We also had sporadic sections of sprayed insulation with no true purpose, resembling a pattern an 8-​year old would have come up with. It was truly embarrassing but they didn’t seem to care too much and just handled it like professionals.
After all was cleaned up (and they did a great job at that), the house smells fresh and we’re looking forward to running our heat and A/​C without any allergy issues.
The bonus was the original estimate held and for us it was the money well spent and hope to never have to use them again, but I hope everyone else does because you’ll be amazed when it’s done in your home. Pure professionals :)

We suspected some rodent issues and Leo came over for an estimate. What I liked about that experience was that Leo was realistic about the degree of infestation we had, which was not severe. As a result, we chose Attic Pros.
Alex came out to perform the work and he did a fantastic job every step of the way. He called ahead as we asked, inquired whether he could keep his shoes on while doing his work (as we wear slippers inside), carefully put plastic around the work area to prevent any soiling or damage, and then got started. He came out every hour or so and showed me pictures he took along the way to explain the issues and how he was addressing them. In the end, he sealed all the openings he found, cleaned off the surface layer of insulation, and completely disinfected the surface. He also explained what we could do to test if rodents were still present and explained we might still hear noise if they tried to get back inside. A job truly well done.
The five year guarantee and follow-​up inspection are also motivating.

Came across AtticPros and a flyer one day. Didn’t really think about attic cleaning but when I went into my attic of my 1907 home it was a mess and odors triggered allergies. I decided to give AtticPros a try and I couldn’t be more pleased. Elliot came out and gave me an estimate on Saturday and they got to work the next day. Elliot was very honest and professional.
They stuck to their estimate and did an excellent job of cleaning, sanitizing and covering a couple vents that were missing mesh in the attic.
I’m really thankful for the insulation work they did as on these hotter days the house remains cool.
I can now go up in the attic and it even smells clean. No more fear of allergies getting triggered.

In this summer, I hired AtticPros to clean both attic and crawl space, replace the insulation for both attic and air duct. My home was built in 50s. Lots of rodent waste and almost no insulation in the attic or for air duct in the crawl space. I called AtticPros and Ohad gave me a quite reasonable estimation. The works arrived on time. Today was so hot, 100 °F outside and I believe more than 120 in the attic. But the workers work so hard to finish all the jobs. I really recommend AtticPros.

My wife and I bought a fixer-​upper. We’ve had dozens and dozens of contractors in our home to give estimates on numerous projects. My experience with AtticPros was by far the worst!
10 minutes after our scheduled appointment, he calls to tell me he is late. Yes, I can tell time and see that you are late. Finally shows up 30 minutes late.
He shows up wearing a stretched out dirty white T-​Shirt, torn jeans, and smells like he hasn’t bathed in weeks. No ID, No uniform, No logo or ID on the vehicle, and forgets his business cards in his car. After he returns with his card, he says, «I am a professional»… which he repeats 8 times throughout the encounter.
Walks into our home talking at a near yelling volume. I ask him to lower his volume because I have a 10 month daughter napping on the other side of the house… he lowers his volume, but within 10 minutes, hes yelling again and my kid wakes up crying.
Where am I looking? he asks. I tell him in the attic. He replies, «I need ladder?» Well unless you have crazy jumping skills or can climb a wall like Spiderman, yes you are going to need a ladder… yet another thing he has to go get from his car. «I am a professional»
Before he ever looks in my attic space, he starts arguing with me about what my project needs. Once up there, he argues with me about what I want done and questions what I have already done. Throughout this entire encounter, he continues to question what I want and why I want it.
I told him I want radiant heat barrier installed under the roof line, along the rafters. He tries to argue that laying it down, on the attic floor, across the ceiling insulation is better. Yeah it may be better for YOU because its easier but is absolutely wrong for my application. My HVAC is in the attic. Laying it on the attic floor does absolutely NOTHING to protect the mechanical aspects of the HVAC. He then shows me picture of a previous install on his phone. Worst sales picture ever. It looked like crap.
I asked him technical questions about the products his company uses (because I’ve done my homework). He stared at me with a completely blank look. He had no clue. I had to educate him about his own products.
I could not get him out of my home fast enough! Total waste of time.
AtticPros, I sincerely hope this gentleman is not your only sales person. He needs a lot of training in your products, installation techniques, salesmanship, personal hygiene, and being a «professional».
UPDATE: The owner called me a couple days after I posted this review. He was very apologetic and asked for my advice on what his business can do better. I repeated everything above. He asked me to take this review down… No. While you calling is a good thing, it does not undo the experience I had with your employee. It is worth a change from 1 to 2 stars.
