Bay Restorators

We hired this company to check on a moldy smell in our home. Over the course of a month they pulled out walls, did tests, sent endless amounts of invoices, emails and texts. We were constantly confused by what work was being done, and what the charges would be. We never actually saw any mold. We finally cut them off and hired someone else to finish the work. He got it done for half the price and in only a few days. The Everados will shake you down for every penny they can get. They appear very friendly and competent, but they put us through a month of hell. We know better now, and would not hire them again.

In 2011 the property owner/​manager hired Bay Restorators to resolve a mold problem in my rental unit. Mr. Everardo Rodriguez Sr. appeared knowledgeable in identifying the cause and source of the leak (Sr. stated foundation runs parallel to the ground) (grade A).
However, repair and resolving any future mold problems during a heavy rainy season not as informed. I reside on the ground floor were the foundation runs parallel to the ground. Two years later I’m faced with mold but in the worse way, why… because his overall approach to remedy the problem wasn’t sound. For example, the US Environmental Protection Agency (as known as the EPA) has a web page title «Prevention and Control | A Brief Guide to Mold,» control tips «Make sure the ground slopes away from the building foundation, so that water does not enter or collect around the foundation». Parallel and Slope has two different meanings (grade F).
Lastly, my alarm window sensor was damage by Bay Restorators which they never had repaired or replace. By causing damaging personal property (grade F).
Though I’m not grading Mr. Everarado Rodriguez son Jr. final assessment of what caused the mold problem initially (Jr. stated the tenant was splashing water on the wall) is totally unfounded. I’m not sure if Jr’s final assessment of the cause of the mold was the company’s way of limiting their liability knowing that the mold would return because their work for mold removal were inadequate.
A repeat customer is always good customer…

Don’t WASTE your time. Oh my god, first they miss their appointment didn’t call to cancel.
Then when they did call I tried to accommodate them by rescheduling.
The guy comes out and tells me he can get me the estimate by Wednesday morning.
Wednesday late afternoon and Still NO Estimate.
I have called three times they don’t even have the courtesy to call and say it’s not ready,

Do NOT use this company for your mold problems. We bought a fixer upper 5 years ago and have had virtually everything done to our house. All’s to say I’ve dealt with A LOT of contractors and professional home services companies. This is, by far, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. They are totally unprofessional, horrendous communicators, lack follow-​through, have terrible customer service, and will basically take advantage of you in any way they can.
First they failed to show up or even contact us for the agreed upon appointment time. When I called to inquire, they didn’t have any records of the appointment. I was not impressed at all with the service they provided when they did show up. The guy was nice but didn’t really seem to know what he was talking about, didn’t give me anything in writing, and was very unclear about their charges. He took my credit card information but gave me no receipt or invoice and told me it would be sent along with the report. After several days of back and forth horrible, rude communication, where I had to keep requesting the same information repeatedly (like a bill letting me know how much and what they were actually charging me for), I got results which didn’t even cover all of the agreed upon testing they were supposed to do. When I asked about the missing tests, I got the run-​around for several days and was finally told they could come out and complete the final test and they’d do me the «favor» of charging me only ½ of their $ 200 service fee for the additional visit. This is for a test they were supposed to have done in the first place! This is a company that does both inspection and remediation. You’d think they’d try a little harder on the front end to keep a customer so that they could get their business for the remediation.
I’ve just been disgusted with the experience and hope you’ll save yourself the trouble by calling on someone else when you need mold services. I’ve since called a couple of other companies for inspection and quotes and have been far more happy with the experience so far: 911 Restorators and Swift Restoration. They’ve been prompt, professional, and knowledegable.

In the process of owning more than a few houses, I have worked with more than a few contractors. I want to express my profound respect for the man who owns this company and the men who work for him.
Everardo Rodriguez is an easy person to like because he really cares about doing the right thing. I called him to help me with a problem at my house and he showed up on time to see what needed to be done. He then offered me some alternatives that ended up dramatically changing my plans — saving me time and money in the process.
The critical thing about Mr. Rodriguez and his crew is that everything they touched came out better than I could have hoped. The crew kept their work area clean. They took extra steps to prevent other areas from getting dusty. They stayed late to keep the schedule I requested. Their finished work is terrific and their people were wonderful with my wife and kids.
I strongly recommend Mr. Rodriguez for his integrity, knowledge and the quality of work done by his firm.

I have had a working relationship With Bay Restorators over about 8 years now and have been assisted time and again by Everrado Rodriquez & his Crews, As a Property Management professional I have asked them to rebuild a staircase/​outdoor Landing, stem water intrusion and tear out moldering bathrooms.
I have appreciated the Intelligence and thorough analysis demonstrated time and again by Mr. Rodriquez. I also appreciate the professionalism of his crews and adherence to Code. For the Property Owner who cares about getting it tight & Right I can offer no higher recommendation.

My janitorial crew left the water running last night and flooded my entire store and the store next to us. We got referred to bay restorators and within 2 hours of the initial call they were out with crews and supplies to tackle the flood. They are informative, knowledgable, professional, and dedicated. They have been here for almost 8 hours now making sure that everything is not only fixed, but checking for water damage in the walls, floors, etc. I am extremely impressed with their work and professional mannerism. When a water mane burst and flooded our garage, we resigned ourselves to losing much of our stuff and a long process of cleaning out mold. Bay Restorators was fantastic: prompt, thorough, friendly, and comforting. They did a marvelous job rescuing our stuff and were very professional. I will use them again.
