Radiant Hot Yoga

This is by far the very best Yoga Studio I have ever practiced at. From the first time I walked through the doors at Radiant Hot Yoga, I felt a much different environment, so positive, welcoming and the atmosphere is so sublime. The teachers there are incredibly supportive and will assist you regardless of your level of yoga experience. I have been taking yoga classes at Radiant Hot Yoga for over a year and it has dramatically improved my health, my shape, and mental state of mind.
Prepare yourself for a great workout whatever level you are at you will find Radiant Hot Yoga to stand above other yoga studios. The heat totally helped me detoxify and is essential for getting deeper into more challenging postures. I love coming here and I hope you will too!

Radiant yoga is a transformational experience. I came here for my first class on a whim after just losing my grandfather. I needed something to feel connected to so I aimlessly drove up, walked in and took my first class. After lots of tears and sweat, I can’t tell you the peace that came over me. Since then, I can’t stop coming to this studio. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive. Thank you Radiant Yoga for creating such a place of balance.

Radiant is my new favorite workout! Perfect combination of cardio, stretching, motivation and clearing the mind!

Visiting family from out of town– was looking for a hot yoga studio here and found Radiant. I do bikram at home. Radiant is a friendly, clean, and beautiful studio (pretty tiny but they keep it nicely). I took the 80 min classic Radiant class twice and Radiant Sculpt once. Instructors Tricia and Erica were enthusiastic and energetic. Radiant is VERY challenging — a combo of vinyasa flow to music and Bikram postures (true yoga beginners will find the classic Radiant class difficult in my opinion). It is very fun and the time flies by with the energy from the music, variety of routine, instructors, and yogis in the pleasantly hot room. Highly recommended! I will be back!

I’m a yoga novice so I can’t claim I’ve been to dozens of yoga studios, but I’ve been to a handful in the last year or so. I’m finishing my Groupon 10-​class pack and I don’t plan on coming back after my 10 classes are over. It’s truly unfortunate as I actually love the 105 degrees room (which is what most of the lower starred reviews complained about) and I love most of the instructors’ classes. I’ve taken the 80-​minute hot, the hot power, and the hot sculpt classes. I like them all, but the music is too loud and distracting. I can tolerate that, but the true reason for deterring my conversion from a groupon user to a member at this yoga studio is the crowding of the more popular classes (Darlene’s and Erica’s) and the attitude of entitlement of many of the studio’s members. I thought that yoga practitioners are generally considerate of others and their surroundings. Unfortunately, there are so many who show up within 2 minutes of the start of class and making others, who took the time and made arrangements in their work and/​or family schedule to make it to class early to get in the right state of mind and relax before class starts, move their mats to make room for their late inconsiderate selves! And then they flick their sweat all over their neighbors’ mats and knock into them during poses. Some classes are so packed all the mats touch. I personally think that is unsanitary and I don’t want other people’s sweat on me. So I’ll be searching for a different bikram yoga studio to be my home base.

5 Stars all the way! This by far is my favorite hot yoga studio for a number of reasons: AMAZING classes, great energy from the instructors and other class members, and overall great workout. This is a long overdue review as I have gone to this studio off and on for a almost 2 years now. There is a good amount of classes that are offered each day, with a variety that includes sculpt and fusion.
As I mentioned, they have awesome instructors and of my personal favorites is Erica. Her classes are extremely challenging and very rewarding; every time I leave one her classes, I just feel so great at what I was able to accomplish during that 60 or 80 minutes of hot yoga. I would highly recommend taking one of her classes as she is very precise in her instructions and also encourages you to keep on growing in your yoga practice.
Overall, such an awesome hot yoga studio that will change your life!

THE BEST! I have been coming here 5 – 6 times a week for almost a year now & I truly love it! The instructors wonderfully encourage & guide during each enjoyable practice to help you grow and challenge yourself. I truly recommend this place to anyone. The owners are hands on, sweet, & have true passion for what they do. I believe hot yoga truly has unlimited positive physical, mental & even spiritual benefits.

As as longtime Corepower member, I took up Groupon on the fab Radiant Hot Yoga deal and never looked back. Actually I did look back and still kept my Corepower membership because Stockholm Syndrome, but I’ve used my deal for a month of yoga at Radiant a handful of times.
I am so impressed! It wouldn’t be my go-​to place, but that’s just personal preference. What they offer is the real deal. The thing is — you need to know what they offer. It’s hot af and it’s power yoga and fast-​paced. It’s not gentle or restorative.
How hard is it?
I used to take Bikram, and this reminds me of that — at least experiencing those intense moments wherein you think you could possibly die, if not physically at least of embarrassment instead at your inability to sustain the movements without dropping to your knees. What I’m trying to say — it’s a challenging workout. Make sure you’re hydrated. I love what they say — taking care of your body (aka dropping to child’s pose) is not a sign of weakness.
The membership past the Groupon is expensive but it’s in line with other similar offerings.
The community is one of the best things about it — it has the hard «workout» of bikram without the pretentiousness. The instructors have been welcoming, which can be hard to find and was a nice surprise in Newport Beach.
The workout itself may not be for you, but for those who love it, it’s a great great place!
PS parking can be hard. The classes can be crowded. There are two bathrooms — I wouldn’t plan on getting ready there after.

Radiant Hot Yoga is a grand spot for yoga. More importantly, it’s populated by good people who teach and live yoga — on and off the mat.
The owner, Darlene, is a wonderful woman who has done a nice job of building a talented team of caring, compassionate, passionate, skilled yoga teachers. I took a yin yoga class taught by Kelsey, and she did an excellent job — both guiding us through the postures and reminding the class that yoga is, at its core, about mindful awareness of one’s breath, body and state of mind and emotions.
Yoga means «to yoke» or «to join,» and I’d say that Radiant Hot Yoga has done a fine job of unifying a diverse group of people — both teachers and students — and creating a comfortable space that offers a wide variety of yoga classes. There’s an inviting aura from the moment you walk in, which always helps, especially when you’re new.
I signed up for two weeks of unlimited yoga for $ 35, and plan on going back to a few different styles of classes over the next few weeks. The location of the studio is great too, as it’s right off one of the toll roads (on Bison Ave. in Newport Beach), and there’s some good restaurants nearby to enjoy after you’ve sweated through a class.
I believe Radiant Hot Yoga also just opened a second location in Irvine, and I’ve no doubt that will also be an excellent place to practice yoga. Check out Radiant Hot Yoga. I think you’ll enjoy the experience.

I walked into Radiant Hot Yoga looking for a new type of workout. I was tired of the gym, and tired of convincing myself I could be a ‘runner’. I had never done yoga before let alone hot yoga so I was a little intimidated at first but walking into this studio changed my life. Not only did I get a new physical workout that was beyond amazing, I got an emotional and mentally challeging workout that I didn’t even know I needed. I began to crave the hot room, the way it made me feel during and then after class, the warm and welcoming environment of the people, how my body transformed, and so much more. Radiant is my home away from home and I’m forever grateful for Darlene for opening the doors to such a beautiful sanctuary of positive vibes and self-​growth.

I definitely see the appeal here, but it’s just not for me.
I’ve taken Bikram and other hot yoga classes at various studios around Southern California before, so I knew what to expect — HOT. SWEATY. HELL. However, the 1-​hour power yoga class that I took at this studio is one that I will not forget mainly because the yoga teacher that I had stepped on my mat multiple times (because it’s too effing crowded) and literally sweat onto my yoga mat and body as he passed by me! Hahaha.
If you like a boot camp style /​fast paced yoga class that plays EDM/​club music, this place is for you. This place is raging with millennials!
I couldn’t hear most of what the instructor what yelling because the music was so damn loud. However, the energy of the students was definitely present that morning!
If you prefer relaxing and traditional style of yoga, you better run far away from this place. This is probably the best reason I have for not returning. So whatever floats your boat!

I love this studio. I haven’t spent too much time here but from my experience thus far, there is a captivating and magnetic energy here that makes me feel good regardless of how my day has been prior to attending a class here. Of course the instruction is great and the studio quite clean, but it’s the overall vibe of this studio that is hard to beat. You’ll have to come here to experience it for yourself. It is very hot indeed and so for that reason it is important to take a lot of precautions in terms of staying hydrated before during and after class to prevent any fatigue thereafter. I am so glad to have incorporated this wonderful studio into my yoga practice and have a feeling I’ll be addicted soon :)

I really enjoy practicing hot yoga so I bought a 10-​class groupon for this place. It seems to be popular so other people probably enjoy it, however I definitely won’t be coming back.
Reasons why:
–The heat is unbearable. I am used to 95 or 100 but 105 is way too hot! I feel like I couldn’t even breathe and got very lightheaded. The opposite of relaxing and meditative.
–The music is way too loud. I couldn’t hear the teacher instruct the movements and poses, and had to watch the people around me to see what to do.
–It was way too crowded. I had about 5 inches in between my mat and the mats on either side of me.
Overall definitely disappointed with this place. I will end by saying though that the staff are all very nice and friendly.

I love Jesus and Yoga (in that order) so when I began to refocus on my scattered mind, shattered body and splintered soul post-​divorce and after the complete shake up of life as I knew it (In October 2014 I moved to SoCal from the East Coast… I was introduced to Radiant Hot Yoga shortly after…) the only thing I could bring was a fragile heart and lots of fragmented pieces; nonetheless daily I came to the mat and prayed, and cried, and allowed the postures to represent a moving meditation that allowed me to slowly, gently, lovingly let go of what I thought my life would be for what actually was in the moment. I yielded, I accepted, I surrendered… From a place of weakness I found strength, courage, restoration and resolve.
Although it wasn’t intentional at all, I just found myself on the mat at 2 or 3 times a day sometimes; and within a year to the 1^st day I showed up, I had come to the studio a whopping 270 times!
Needless to say it was a form of therapy. A place of healing. A safe and connected community. Basically HOT yoga makes me HAPPY. The Hotter the better, and I love RHY for keeping the classes toasty, juicy, sauna like hot!
Plus, I love that at RHY mastery of a specific set of postures is the focus. When I first began the sequence I thought I’d get board with it, but now I understand that every time I come to the mat my practice is different and there is a deeper level or enhanced variation that I can learn in the same pose that I’ve done hundreds of times before. That’s exciting and challenging!
The instructors are ALL top-​notch, the energy is amazing, and at Radiant Hot Yoga I have found genuine community in so so so many beautiful forms on and off the mat. There’s nothing NOT to love there, it totally gels and fits with my soul like a snug yummy sweaty pair of yoga pants!
Come and check it out. You’ll fall in love, find a home away from home and be your fittest/​best self yet!

Hot yoga? More like hell yoga! I’ve been practicing hot yoga (or a variation of) off and on for about 8 years now; in fact, between all the different styles (Vinyasa, Hatha, Bikram, Restorative, Sculpt, Power, etc.) I find it to be the most physically and mentally beneficial and detoxifying of them all. I love that the heat detoxifies me and the asanas keep you focused in a meditative state. What I find the most disturbing about this place is two fold: the heat is overwhelmingly unbearable, and the music that they play during the session is very counter-​productive to the meditative movement that hot yoga is intended for. It felt like you were in a sauna in the middle of the Sahara with a bunch of hot and sweaty girls doing yoga poses. While this might be one person’s dream, it was more like a nightmare to me.
This particular studio does a hybrid of hot yoga and Vinyasa flows with a touch of bootcamp-​style yogi energy. They have signature 80 minute classes, 60 minute Hot Power classes, and 60 minute Sculpt classes. My preference was the Hot Power classes since they seemed to be slightly smaller, and luckily, 60 minutes as opposed to 80 in the blistering, crowded heat.
I’m used to 95 or 100 degree studios, but the 105 degree studio combined with the over-​crowded classes was not conducive to a physical or mentally beneficial class. Not only does the crowd create more heat, but it is also creates quite a distraction, to the point where your mind can’t get focused. The fact that they need to frequently open the doors to let colder air in says it all. Why not just keep the heat at a steady temperature so that you’re not letting hot and cold throughout the class? Secondly, the crowded classes makes it very difficult to do the asanas correctly. I can’t even get a proper supine twist or happy baby in without slapping my fellow yogi in the face or kneeing them in the face. No, really. It’s mat to mat to mat. I’d have to add that some instructors roast you more than others, so be mindful of which classes you take.
Third, the music is all over the place. It doesn’t go with the postures. It’s in and out. It starts and stops, and then it switches to a different song in the middle of another song. It really kills the intentional movement of yoga. I understand if this was a Sculpt class or a cardio yoga class, but I personally felt that the EDM and clubbing music that was being played throughout class was inappropriate given yoga’s practice of serenity. There was no SERENITY NOW for me here. Can you get it together so it flows like our Vinyasa? Which, unfortunately, was also at an inconsistent pace. We’d be doing half moon pose for one minute, but other poses for 10 seconds or 30 seconds. It just didn’t flow very well for me.
Additionally, seeing as how water is not offered except in the form of a plastic bottle, which is completely antithetical to the sustainable living that yoga advocates, it just seems like this yoga studio is only capitalizing on the financial benefits that the yoga industry reaps and isn’t really sincere in their intention. In fact, this whole studio reeked of ingenuity to me. Don’t get me wrong here. The staff is friendly but some were less than helpful in correcting postures and getting you to be in the present. This studio felt like a small business operating like Corporate America.
Unfortunately, I was not a personal fan of this style of hot yoga, and I always look forward to my next class but not here. Not at all. It seemed like others took a liking to this, so if this is your style, go for it. But for $ 24 a session, I think there are a lot more proper yoga studios in the area that will help inspire you in your yoga practice without being in hellish heat, listening to EDM in your Warrior Two pose, and charging you $ 3 for a bottle of water in which you’ll need to buy a second bottle since the heat is that unbearable.

Radiant Hot Yoga was where I began my yoga journey. Having had done no yoga ever, it was a little intense having hot yoga be my first experience. But it was an unforgettable and everlasting experience that I have continued doing until this day. I initially bought the one month unlimited class groupon, which by the way, is an amazing deal.
I have done the Radiant Hot and Radiant Hot Power classes. Radiant Hot, the 80 minute class was the first class I took here. It was very very very tiring and I underestimated how tough it could be. Coming from a heavy background of running and weightlifting, I thought «Hey, I think I’m prepared for this!». I was wrong! But the challenge is what kept me going and two months later, the class still kicks my butt every time. Although we do the same poses every class, it is how you approach each class that makes the experience rewarding. Also I have noticed that what you eat, how much water you drank, and how rested you are, are all factors that contribute to not dying in class. Radiant Hot Power is a fast version of Radiant Hot being only 60 minutes, but it gets the job done!
All the instructors here are full of energy and really fun. I can’t say I have favorites, but each goes at a different pace, which is also what makes each class unique and different. Do not be surprised if you go into a class especially at peak times (5:30pm or Saturday Morning) and the studio is filled mat to mat. It’s definitely happened a couple times but what can you do, it goes to show they are an awesome studio.
The facilities are all clean and the bathroom is fully stocked with supplies you would need to either clean up before a class or freshen up after. There are cubbies located in front of the restroom and there is plenty of space for your things. Parking is a challenge during dinner hours since it is located in a busy plaza and next to a restaurant. Mats, towels, and mat towels are available for rent and also free your first visit.
I am sad to say I will have to part with the studio since I am moving away. But have to give them credit for starting me on this incredible journey! Radiant Hot Yoga is a must try for anyone looking for a challenge!

I was a member for 6 months when this place opened and I miss it terribly. I was a UCI student, so it was super convenient for me to go since it was only a 10 minute drive. Everyone was nice, I kid you not, EVERYONE. I would come in super stressed, and super tense. I was not flexible, and at first was shy, but I realized that the room is dark and none of it matters. I would always come out super relaxed and I noticed that my skin looked better over time. Writing this review pains me because I miss radiant a lot, but this is one of those few establishments where they feel like a family and no one is judging you.

Radiant hot yoga feels like an intense yoga boot camp in a very very hot room. When i first started I couldn’t bare the heat. 110 degrees in the one room studio that is usually filled to capacity. I had to stay by the doors so I could breathe when they let in air. You will sweat like crazy both from the intense heat and from the intense yoga routine. After a while you get used to it and it’s true your body starts to crave the heat.
There are three main type of classes. I really enjoyed the sculpt with weights. Adham and Erica are my fav teachers. They will whoop your yoga butt (but really Erica’s butt workout hurts.)
Radiant hot power is more like a fast pace pumped up yoga routine. It took me awhile to get all the moves down because they move fast and the music is sometimes really loud so you can’t hear what the teacher is saying. You’re just faking it till you make it basically. Turning left right up down spinning around downward dog.
Radiant hot is a slowed down yoga focusing more on balance stretch flexibility. I really like all three types of classes it’s a good mix.
The yoga classes don’t change too much. The routine is mostly the same for each one of them so there isn’t much variation. While that got boring sometimes, it also deepened my practice because I realized I got better and better at it. I could do a pose I couldn’t do before or I could hold it longer.
You will need a yoga mat, yoga towel (essential you don’t want to be a slippery seal on your mat), water (like two bottles), hand towel. Walking out of the room after class is like getting out of a swimming pool.
Things I like:
–Classes are intense workouts
–Very pumped up
–The heat
–The teachers
–The routine yoga routine
Things I dislike:
–It gets crowded to the point where I am smacking someone in the face or kicking them. Yoga should be a safe space but it felt unsafe having so many people this close in a room.
–wish they utilize the sign up method beforehand so you don’t get turned away from class when you drive all the way there
–the heat (it’s a love hate relationship)
— the routine yoga routine (some variation once in awhile maybe)
— water? water that isn’t $ 3?
Overall, I would recommend trying it out. They have a two week option (I wish there was a free week trial) or groupon! The yoga workout might not be for everyone, but I guarantee you will sweat like crazy!

I’ve been out of practice with my hot yoga for a while when I came across a deal to try out Radiant Hot Yoga for one month. I’ve been going for the past week since I started up again and forgot how much I LOVE hot yoga. I feel incredible, get an amazing workout, and sleep like a baby the night after.
Radiant Hot Yoga is the only hot yoga studio I’ve been to since moving to Orange County so I can’t compare it to any other studios in the area. But I can say this: it’s conveniently located off Bison and MacArthur. The studio itself is impeccably clean and welcoming. The staff are helpful and very nice.
The classes themselves have been great — but be warned, they can get VERY crowded. I wasn’t use to this aspect of hot yoga but this studio either is in demand or LOTS of people practice hot yoga in Orange County. You HAVE to arrive at least 15 minutes before class if you want a spot, or else risk being turned away (hasn’t happened to me yet, knock on wood!).
Crowding aside, the instructors are great and I’ve left every class satisfied and empowered by my hot yoga practice.
