Not only did the have the fav glazed buttermilk, I tried the«famous» maple bacon today. Oh yeah! Not every time. But it’ll be a repeater.

This place is so awesome! I’ve been searching for a place in Orange County that makes donut letters for my best friend’s birthday. She’s a huge donut lover and the only places I know that make these are in the LA area. After about 25 phone calls, I called this place and they were so kind and accommodating. I spoke to a man named Chong and he told me that they don’t usually make them, but he would for me. He was so helpful and even called me back to make sure he had the correct letters and flavor for the donuts. This was all the night before my friend’s birthday and they had them done the next day! The price was reasonable too. He even added free donut holes to make it prettier. My best friend’s birthday was made due to these people. Thank you so much. If you’re looking for a place in the OC that makes donut letters, this is your place! Such a great present idea for those donut lovers out there :)

Like most small Asian business, very kind staff, clean location but shady business practices. Just stopped by at 9am to get some donut holes for my niece… when she started eating them I noticed they were crumbling. When I went to taste one of them they were hard and definitely yesterday’s batch. Classic Asian practice… let’s pass some old food from yesterday on the unsuspecting public just to make some extra cash. #SMH at 3.49 for a dozen nickel sized donut holes Only get two stars for super clean location and friendly staff.

People are crazy about M&M blueberry donuts. For me, Mag’s blueberry donuts are better! Short to no line and with 10 seconds of microwave, the donut is so soft and perfectly sweeten!

Not sure it deserves all the hype. The blueberry donuts everyone raves about are so doused in artificial blueberry flavor, it tastes like drinking cough syrup(you know, the exaggerated«fruit» flavor you find in medicine). Cronuts were good and the apple fritter was great. That’s the reason for the 2 additional stars. The sausage croissant was so gross I was traumatized(a nasty hot dog awaits you in there, not really pastry sausage). Also, while the owners are nice(old Vietnamese family), they are slow and plodding. I’m sorry, but the«we’re a mom and pop» inefficiency stops being endearing after they mess up the order and then call you back for forgetting to ring an item up. It’s an okay place. I would have been more forgiving if the cruellers were good. But they were dry. That was a real bummer.

These donuts are amazing, but even better is when we went in, I was looking for a white cream filled and she didn’t have any. The sweet lady went in the back and customized a donut for me, cutting it and adding white cream! Thanks, Mags! Your donuts are as sweet as your customer service!

Stopped here on a Sunday morning(my usual stop before work is Bowl of Heaven, closed Sundays). Looked like a nice little donut shop with plenty of options. I picked a couple donuts but didn’t have cash on me so I had to order more to reach the 5 dollar limit to use a card. I ordered a blueberry banana smoothie, which was alright, but way too sweet. Not sure if there were any fresh ingredients in it, most likely it was pre-packaged and loaded with added sugar, but it sufficed. Also got a blueberry cake donut, which was fine as well. The reason for my low rating is the second donut I purchased, which was not quite up to par. It looked like a normal maple glazed donut, but as soon as I grabbed it out of the bag it collapsed and felt moist, which immediately grossed me out. Upon further inspection I tore into it to find a wet eggy texture and smell. It seemed as though maybe an ingredient or two were missing from this batch? Something just wasn’t quite right. I attempted to taste it and ended up spitting it out and trashing it. Normally I would have brought it back, but I had to get to work, and it was only worth about a dollar anyway. Quality control is lacking a little bit here I think, though the staff is nice enough. I’m a little afraid to go back after that, since the donut looked perfectly normal from the outside.

Great donuts made every morning and freshly brewed coffee served by a very friendly staff! Whenever I stop by, my go-to donuts are their blueberry(packed with blueberry flavor), the glazed old-fashioned and the good ol’ maple cruller(my ultimate favorite donut!) :3 such delightful fried pastries. The cruller is perfectly spongy and light, and the old-fashioned has the right amount of crispy crunch on the outside, fluffy goodness on the inside(kind of like my personality? JK, i’m not a donut.) Their ham&cheese croissants are an obvious go-to for a carb queen like myself. They’re buttery, soft, flaky, with just the right amount of ham and gooey cheese. Now about those jalapenos… I’ve come in during the early morning, as well as afternoon(for an innocent snack…) and it’s busier than expected. I know Starbucks is right across, but people come in for Mag’s coffee and a fresh donut. Sounds like a stellar combo to me! I bought two dozen donuts for my office a few days ago and the total came out to be just under $ 24, a little on the steep side, but the donuts were excellent and they were fresh. Definitely was a hit in the office. Should probably not get them for the office very often though… This location is right near my apt complex so I think if I take a brisk walk here every morning, ordering a warm, flaky, buttery croissant is a deserving reward.

The man who works there is so kind. I came 10 minutes til closing and asked for their super famous maple bacon bar. There were none on display, so the guy went back into the kitchen and pulled some from the batch they had and heated them. He then gave me knives per my request. Generous, and super sweet customer service. And boy, the bars lived up to the hype. The bacon was savory without being too salty. The maple glaze was great, and the donut bar was fluffy and light. Lovely, lovely. Parking lot out front. Wide selection of drinks too.

Located down the street from my workplace, I have found a new gem to grab a quick breakfast. Gets crowded, the line is almost out the door. Jalapeño Ham & Cheese Croissants here are large and delicious! They can however heat it up a little bit more. If you love spicy and jalapenos, get this. They load it up with tons of jalapenos in the center. Donut holes are perfectly light and fluffy, as they should be. They also offer maple and bacon donuts, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, and a variety of drinks that I will definitely come back to sample. Lots of parking in a busy plaza.

Can’t speak for their service because my bf delivered them to my work and can’t speak for the sprinkled donuts or the Orange donuts he got me, but OHMYGOODNESS the blueberry donuts were to die for. They were so good and not dry at all, although a bit on the sweeter side. The regular glazed donuts were also delicious as well

I love donuts especially glaze and this place is right near my job! It is amazing! Had to work today(Labor day) and nothing made my morning better than a warm, soft and fresh glaze donut. they are always very packed, but very friendly and quick. However, they do charge .50 for debit

I can’t account for their actual donuts but they have the softest and freshest donut holes ever! I also like how they have different flavored like blueberry and chocolate and not just only glazed. It’s right near the gas station so it can be kind of a busy area but no problems with parking or anything. The pricing for the donut holes is pretty cheap too especially since they’re so good!!! The only thing is that I think they might have mixed my blueberry donuts with chocolate ones once :/which was sad because I don’t like chocolate. But great donuts in that area. I give it a 4.5 stars. :)

Donuts everyday, any time of day are delicious. Get them in the wee hours of the morning(yes you can go here at 4:30am) and they are at the peak of warm gooey freshness. I don’t get coffee here, but there is a huge selection of sodas, juice, energy drinks, milk and flavored coffees to choose from. They also have a bunch of pastries, muffins, croissantwiches/bagels made to order and cut fruit. The selection beats any gas station minimart and Mags is right across from the gas station on your way to the 73.

These guys provided great customer service even though there’s a line out the door at the 8 o’clock in the morning on national donut day. Yep, and I was rookie in the room askin a zillion questions and pointing to the Unilocal!pics on my iPhone. But they took good care of me and still thanked me for coming in. You can get the strawberry cream do-ssant but you have to wait a couple minutes because they make it fresh. So you won’t see it in the case. More than worth the wait, my coworkers raved about these donuts! Even the peeps who don’t normally like maple and bacon together loved the maple bacon bar. The icing isn’t overly sweet and doesn’t have that artificial aspartame flavor some syrups can have. Hey Mags, can you make a Chocolate bacon bar with big flecks of sea salt? I’ll be your best frieeennnnnndd…: D

Ventured here after lunch and had their cronut, filled with strawberry and this take had whipped cream as opposed to custard. It seemed like they made this to order. As suspected, it was a bit on the sweet side for me… I think less is more in this case– I really wanted to appreciate the taste of just the cronut, not all of the sugar. Even so, I wouldn’t be opposed to getting this, they also had quite the variety of other donuts– the bacon donut looked interesting.

Craving great classic donuts done right? Mag’s is the place! Mag’s has been in business for probably close to two decades and never disappoints. Their loyal following says a lot about the quality and consistency of their donuts. Food: Their donuts are effortlessly delicious. Mag’s has all the classics(glazed twists, old fashion, etc.) and they are all soooo good! The classics are perfectly simple. They also have experimented with adding to the classics. One of my favorite spins on a classic they have done is adding sprinkles to the top of a classic glazed donut(as opposed to the cake donut they are usually on)! But their cake donut is also wonderfully done. Their glaze is divine! You know when the glaze hardens in one place and forms a magical sugary explosion in your mouth?! Well their glaze does that all the time!!! Each glazed donut hole has these little sugary drops and it is so gosh darn good! Service: The employees/owners of Mag’s have been at it for years and are always friendly. They remember familiar faces(if you go enough like I do) and are always efficiently helpful. Overall: For a donut shop Mag’s earns a 5. Their excellent donuts are hard to beat and Mag’s is a neighborhood favorite in Newport Beach. Not to mention, they have kept their prices low over the years so you can get a couple donuts for under $ 5 which is a steal in Newport Beach!

— DIDNOTLOOKLIKE A CRACKADDICTAFTERTHEGLAZEDDOUGHNUTHOLE — Just right and was pretty nice. Never was nuts for Donuts but this place is LEGIT. [Ordered] –1 Glazed doughnut hole –1 Circular Chocolate Covered Vanilla Cream-Filled Doughnut. First was the worst. Second was the best. I’m kidding! But I’m a sucker for anything cream filled. Both were good. Used to Krispy creams and thankfully it was NOTLIKEKRISPYCREAMS. DOUGHISFRESH. BIGTIMEDIFFERENCE. Not saying its a game-changer and I would convert to a devout doughnut evangelist… but something special is going on here. Cool place. *An Oreo smoothie on the menu caught my eye… I guess I have to go back*
