Not sure why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars. Service is amazing. The place is cute and romantic! They made me the dish I wanted the way I wanted it. It is true authentic ITALIAN cuisine. Simply duhleeshusss!!!

Half off bottles special today. Killed a Pinot with my roommate, got DELICIOUS complimentary grilled, crisp garlic cheese bread fresh out of the oven or whatever magical place it came from all toasty and melty. Tasted smokey. Mm. Ask for the tomatoes to go with it. Everything we had was fantastic. Short ribs, grilled calamari and truffle fries (probably least fave-​still good with mayo) And wonderful warm service. So stoked we found our new HH spot right around the corner! Yayuh.

$ 12 unlimited sangria? Say no more.
I was very surprise with the low rating of this place. This spot has adorable atmosphere, great drink options and $ 12 unlimited sangria that comes out in pitchers and trust me; they are not stingy with the wine in these pitchers. The garlic bread that comes out before the meal… NO WORDS. I could literally eat a whole loaf of them, I don’t even care about the garlic breathe after. It’s generally hard to mess up pasta, and the two options we went with the Gnocchi di Spinaci and the Paccheri Alle Melanzane (the eggplant was bombbbbbb). Both the sauces are a tad similar but the pasta was cooked to perfection, the gnocchi, super soft, couldn’t stop popping those into my mouth.
Great service, food comes out fast and after the meal, we just took our time sipping our sangria (there is a two hour limit for the unlimited though). I will definitely be back.

F NO!!! I went here w/​a group of 4 on Halloween. The place was half-​full; service was adequate, little slow for the entrée but manageable.
Then sh** hit the fan when the check came.
As we had to split the bill individually among the 4 of us & they couldnt give us each our sep. check (totally fine). I listed the food that the 2 pairs shared (4 of us total) & put a bracket next to each list. On the other side of said brackets, I put the last 4 digits of each credit card & cash (1 person had cash) that would be sharing the items on the list (2 lists, 2 brackets, 3 credit cards, 1 cash payment, 4 people #bam).
I explain to the waitress (who shall remain anonymous for integrity’s sake) what the brackets & card numbers represent. She agrees that this is how checks are split in the past & walks away.
Upon returning to our table with the check, we realize all of our cards were charged incorrect amounts.
She did not know what a bracket was & thought the curves of the bracket were brackets themselves.
She would not give back my friend her cash & kept trying to tell us this was okay.
After 10 minutes of explaining to her how to do it again, we ask to speak to the manager… Little do we know, he IS SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO US DRINKING HEAVILY. Sorry for the caps, I dont like to contribute to the hostility on the internet but I was mind blown.
Poor management, horrible service. Never again.

La Giara is one of the nicest restaurants in Manhattan. The manager and staff are very hospitable, warm, and welcoming, they really appreciate their customers, and the food is great (I love the grilled calamari, which is only $ 9.00 and comes with fresh sliced tomatoes and zucchini). They have a great tapas menu and an unlimited sangria deal for $ 12.00! Every time I go there it’s a lovely experience, and I always feel very happy and relaxed. Thank you, La Giara!

They cut their Mimosa with ginger ale and don’t tell people. I happened to observe it from afar and once the manager saw me, he started hiding when he poured it in. If you have an allergy to ginger… DO NOT come here for brunch…

This place has $ 8 unlimited mimosas or bloody Mary’s for brunch until 3:30 pm. I recommend the mimosa over the Bloody Mary because there’s just a lot more alcohol and the Bloody Mary was thick and tasted like it had no alcohol at all.
We got the pizza and steak & eggs. The pizza was really good. It had scrambled eggs and salmon. The salmon was so good. It was smoked and had flavor. The steak and eggs was ok. There wasn’t really anything special about it. The steak at Applebee’s is better and half the price.
This place was kinda expensive and the food portions were small. Really basic meals for a high price.
The ambience is great. It’s casual but it isn’t too casual that it’s divey. I love how they have the front accordion doors open so it feels like you get fresh air during the summer time. I just love its set up.
The service was great. The guy was really nice and tended to us frequently. He was quick about filling up our drinks.
The reason I wouldn’t give it five stars is because it was expensive for the food and it was basic. Applebees would’ve been better. The mimosas were great though.

This place sucks. The waiter wouldn’t honor our diner’s deck card despite us surpassing the minimum requirement price. He was actually a bit rude about it.
We ended up having the Cacio e pepe and the fusilli al ferreto. Both were bland and uninteresting. Compared to all the amazing italian you can get in this city, this place is really not up to par. I suggest passing and getting food almost anywhere else in the area.

A mixed bag. The bread was pretty hard, didn’t taste fresh. Service is pretty slow, even when the restaurant only had 2 – 3 tables to serve.
The Tonnarelli cacio & pepe is really good. There was also an unlimited sangria option which was a great deal.
I’d recommend delivery or take out because I really enjoyed my pasta but the service was frustrating.

Came here because my friends wanted to sit outside and they were attracted to the bottomless brunch option.
I got the incredibly mediocre steak and eggs (even 5 dollar steak and eggs in Vegas were gourmet compared to what I had). I ordered my eggs over-​easy. I cut into my egg and it was completely well-​done. I was still surprisingly in good-​spirits and ok with the mistake until I called the server over for a re-​do on my eggs and he told me that my eggs were in fact over-​easy eggs. I cut my sad, little egg in front of him, and none of that runny, golden goodness came gushing out.
I wish I had a picture. Face-​palm to the max. Never again.

Have been here twice for dinner, the second time this past week (coincidentally, both times on Tuesday nights, when they have their price fixe menu — app, entrée & dessert — for $ 25). The food has been consistently very good, with decent sized portions. You definitely won’t feel hungry after eating there. Also a big fan of their cheesecake — I actually despise cheesecake, but when it’s made with ricotta it’s absolutely perfect for me, and this fit the bill. Not the biggest fan of the alcohol selection, but a cheap glass of wine should do it with your meal if that’s what you’re looking for. Will be back again.

Every time I eat here the food is perfect. They have amazing gnocchi and lasagna. A must try if you’re in the Murray hill area!

The worst Frutti di Mare and service ever. Monica, our waitress, did her best to avoid us.
On the plus side the pear and walnut salad, calamari appetizers were good as was the Branzino Entre.
Monica did remove the Frutti de Mare from our bill. After some discussion she also removed a charge for a 2^nd glass of wine. It was Ladies Night, with a Buy one get one free offer. Since I, a male, drank one of the glasses they sought to charge us for it. Please!

Cute little Italian spot in Murray Hill. Came for brunch on a Sunday, only had to wait a couple of minutes for a table for 2.
It is true, if you order 1 mimosa or Bloody Mary they continue to refill your drink! Which means it’s only about $ 8 for unlimited brunch! Be warned — the blood Mary is heavy on the tomato juice… Maybe stick to the mimosa.
Had the waffle with fresh fruit and caramel sauce. The was great! My friend had the pancakes (comes with 2) and she enjoyed as well!

I’ve been here for brunch a couple of times. Food selection is good. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was great. They still have unlimited mimosas. You just have to order a meal and a mimosa ($ 8) and the come around with refills.
Will definitely be going back.

For a restaurant that advertises themselves as ‘Italian’, i didnt really feel that the menu reflected that. My girlfriends and I went here for brunch this past week. They have bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys. I ordered a bloody mary. It comes out as tomatoe juice and vodka, they give you all the other goodies you have to mix in yourself (horseradish, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce). I ordered the salmon omelet, it was decent. However the fries that it came with aren’t really fries. Overall, a decent experience if you are just looking for a bite to eat.

My roommate suggested going to this place since they have $ 9 pasta nights on Mondays, so a friend and I went last Monday. Needless to say, we were not impressed at all with the quality of the food.
The place was pretty slow on a Monday evening, which I thought was surprising, given the special. It’s a pretty dim-​lit restaurant. The service was OK — we had a few different people serving us and they were a bit slow, even though the place was not busy at all.
For appetizer, we had the fried zucchini and it was OK. They give you a lot, which is nice, but they were super deep-​fried and almost made my stomach hurt after eating a few of them. For dinner, I ordered the gnocchi that came with walnuts as our waiter mentioned that it was one of the few pastas that were actually homemade. When the food came out, the pasta was extremely hard, difficult to chew, and had a very interesting taste to it (and not in a good way). I just wasn’t a big fan of the gnocchi at all — very dry, not flavorful at all, and had a weird texture. I only hate about half and reluctantly decided to pack the rest. I ate the leftovers for lunch on Tuesday (don’t ask why) and it was worse than the night before… I didn’t even finish it.
I understand not to expect much with $ 9 pasta night in NYC, but you had to do better than that or just don’t even bother having a $ 9 pasta Mondays. In my opinion, it’s not worth it and I most likely will not be back.

My bf and I played a game. I walked the streets of nyc with him blinded and when I said stop, that’s the restaurant we’d try, and voila, we found this place!
I was terrified id pick a $ 1 pizza place or corner deli, so I was pleasantly pleased. The food is good. Nothing to rave about and nothing to make a destination of, but the ambience was nice and romantic. The wait staff was very friendly, and the service was timely.
They had a drink special that night, 2 for 1. We ordered the eggplant parm to start, and split a spaghetti carbonara. It was very good and filling. Prices were about $ 15−19/dish, pretty standard for Italian in manhattan.
All in all a good experience. Would I go back, mmm there’s so many stand out Italian places for a similar price I probably wouldn’t return. But if you’re just looking for run of the mill Italian, this place won’t disappoint.
