Came here again after 2 year this time for our reunion with 4 other families. I had recommended this place highly to my friends so we all decided to come here tonight for dinner for a large party. They not only able to accommodate us but they really handles the kids well. In addition there food is good as I remembered and my friends also really enjoyed the food very much. We enjoyed the spicy pork, octopus balls, spicy tuna, bulgogi, and seafood noodles. The service was great and the staff was very attended. We would definitely go again and continue to recommend.

I’ve been meaning to try this place out for awhile, especially after finding out that they have bibimbap(super rare for Myrtle Beach)! And they did not disappoint(and I’ve had my fair share of bibimbap/korean food). Will be back for sure, to try out the rest of the menu! PS) This place is pretty small, plan accordingly if you have a large party

Warm, cozy spot with excellent spicy tuna roll and soup loaded with chicken and shrimp, hard boiled egg, greens, onions, and some veggies I can’t name but did enjoy. We’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. Had a bit of trouble finding it in a mostly residential area, but we’re glad we persevered.

Loved this little find– thank you Unilocal! The service was excellent. They take pride in the food served to you. Everything we tried we enjoyed. Starters: Korean BBQ ribs, Miso Soup, salad with ginger dressing, goyza. Meal: teriyaki salmon with white rice and sautéed vegetables-my son’s choice. He liked it very much and wanted to go back next evening for it. Lol I had Bogooki dish with white rice and sautéed vegetables which was quite large for me, so I shared with my husband and son. My hubby had one of the rice bowls and it had sooo much food in it. We took it to go. And of course for dessert we had mochi ice cream. Yummy everything! It’s definitely very popular place with the locals because the door was revolving with pickups. Lots of peeps bumping into each other which was nice to see. Yeah, once again I wish one of these was in my home area so I could eat here often. Thank you for fabulous meal and friendly smiles.

First, let me warn you that the dining room is very small, like literally six tables and two of them sat more than two people. Otherwise there are no negatives. The owners are great, they like to talk, and are a joy to be around. Food was amazing. The bibimbap was incredible(not our first time eating bibimbap). They get the food out to you very quickly. Can’t wait to come back to Myrtle Beach just to come here.

Very competent Japanese food showing care for quality. The place is limited to non raw fish dishes. The udon broth was very good and fried shrimp and other items were very well prepared. Nagasaki Champon broth had depth and surprising to find this level of quality in a resort town. Yakisoba was a little bit on the stronger side of condiments. It was a good change of regular food.

Best Japanese resto in Myrtle Beach! Been eating here for years. Avoid going to the fake ones(which in Myrtle Beach’s case, EVERYONEOFTHEM). Don’t waste your money on those fake hibachi crap. This is the real deal.

I have been away from my home city for almost a week and I was craving some ramen. Sure, I return tomorrow afternoon but I just had to get some ramen a.s.a.p! Been continuously walking by here with my mother since it was on the way to the supermarket and I was definitely curious about this place since there are so many positive Unilocal reviews. The restaurant is small but very welcoming. There were two servers and one cook, who is the owner of the establishment. We sat by the window since the waitress let us sit anywhere. My mother got the Beef Bulgogi lunch bento while I ordered Agedashi Tofu and Kyushu Tonkotsu Ramen. Mmm, the Agedashi Tofu was delicious. They gave four pieces of tofu when I’m used to three or less back in the city. It also came with tasty nameko mushrooms! I liked how there was a yuzu dressing as an option for my mother’s salad. I’ve never actually came across a Japanese restaurant that let you decide your salad dressing(there were also ginger and ranch options). Oftentimes, you’d just order the lunch bento and they would just decide the salad dressing for you. When my bowl arrived, I was happy at how generous they were with the toppings and noodles! There was around three slices of roast pork, bean sprouts, a seaweed sheet, kikurage mushrooms, two naruto fish cakes(the one with swirls) and two half pieces of egg. Sometimes I come across stingy places that wouldn’t give this many toppings. Sure it may not be a big deal for others, but two half eggs!!! Freaking unheard of in NYC!!!(unless you pay extra for more toppings) The broth was decent, just wish it had a little stronger pork taste. As I ate more of the bowl, it made me realize just how much noodles they gave me. This ramen is definitely a filling and satisfying dish! My mother gave me some of her Bulgogi and it was tasty as well. The beef was cooked just right and was quite tender. Salad tasted great with the yuzu dressing. Wish more places would give yuzu dressing ’cause I love me some yuzu.(It also has another form as a light and tasty alcoholic beverage!) They only had green tea mochi drizzled with chocolate syrup as dessert. So my mother got that and I decided that I wanted some brown tea green tea to help digest everything I just ate. If you had green tea mochi before, this one wasn’t anything too different. The chocolate syrup was a nice touch though. The tea was unfortunately just a tea bag(not loose leaves) and not free. But in the end, it was a delicious and affordable lunch. The staff was very friendly and I definitely noticed that they had regulars eating there as well. If we are in the area again, we’d definitely go back here instead of going to some overpriced and underwhelming chain restaurant back in Broadway at the Beach!

Wow! The nicest couple and the best Japanese and Korean experience in Myrtle Beach, SC. Everything we ordered was spectacular! Ahi poki appetizer with fried wontons was wonderful! Their spicy tuna roll was incredibly unique made with rice paper and lettuce… it was and now is one of my favorite rolls… Now how are we going to get this roll in Colorado :). The ginger dressing on the salads was wonderful. The salmon my father had was some of the best prepared salmon we all agreed we have ever tasted. My Bibimbap was amazing and my husband’s ramen was the best he’s ever had, too. My mother’s fried cod with the lemon grass slaw was delicious! The slaw was so fresh and again so unique! What a delight!!!

Amazing food and the sweetest owners! Try the negamaki, the galbi, and yakinuki. And their ginger dressing is out of this world! Those are my personal favorites, but everything on their menu is fabulous!

The server was super warm and nice! Ahi tuna salad was fresh! And friend enjoyed his donkatsu ramen very much. I tasted the broth and it was super flavorful! Also came with a lot of meat and veggies! Was skeptical about having Asian food at Myrtle beach but wanted an healthier option and glad we tried it! Super delicious and not super expensive either! Many others ordered the Bento boxes which were huge! Small place but got full quickly right after they opened at 1130! Popular place and rightfully so!:)

What a hidden gem! We popped off to Myrtle Beach for a day, and I’d done my research ahead of time to see what good restaurants were out there. I was surprised there was an Asian restaurant with such great reviews. Who knew there would be truly authentic Japanese food in what my friends told me was«Redneck Riviera»? If you’re in the area and you like Japanese or Korean, you must try this place! The place is owned by a really nice Japanese and Korean couple. They are so polite and courteous, and it’s evident they have a lot of regulars who come in. I would totally be one of those regulars if I lived closer. I got a buckwheat noodle soup with vegetable tempura. It was SOTASTY. The broth was so flavorful. I hadn’t had really good Japanese food in well over a year. They also had perfect agedashi tofu — PERFECT. Just writing this review right now is making my mouth water. Love this place!

Came here for dinner with my friend while on vacation! We were looking for someting light and also delicious, so of course we checked Unilocal!Sobaya had 5 stars, and they definitely deserve it! My friend ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and I ordered the Katsu Bowl. Both were so, so good. We both love Japanese food too, so we’ve definitely had plenty of experiences with good and bad Japanese restaurants. I would absolutely recommend this place. The waitress who served us was really nice too! Taste: 9⁄10 Service: 8⁄10
