Don’t miss this place! The food was excellent, and that is coming from a food snob! We only eat at places with 4.5 to 5 stars when we are on vacation and we set out to eat at a place across the street but the wait was long and they didn’t have a bar area to wait; so we ended up at Soho. They had a great bar that allowed us to grab a seat, order drink at their full service bar and order some appetizers. It was all great: we had crunchy rolls and edamame. For dinner I had the filet cooked to perfection. The Rosemary potatoes were excellent! This place is a new, very clean restaurant with a nice roof top area that looks fun night time spot!

If you want great sushi, hibachi, large variety of food options, amazing drinks(not to mention at a great price), lovely staff, and the option of dining downstairs or enjoying the view from their rooftop lounge/bar SOHO is the place to be! I cannot believe somewhere so close the beach with a cool rooftop/atmosphere has happy hour prices of $ 2 domestic bottles, $ 3 Well liquor drinks, $ 3 hot sake & other amazing food options!!! On the rooftop they have live music on the rooftop from Tuesday-Saturday from cool bands, sexy guitar players, and a really cool dj(Friday & saturdays) The sushi is hands down the best at the beach. A must try is a Sammy roll & paired with a lychee be achy martini(YUMM!)

Sushi was phenomenal! I came here while on vacation and was thoroughly impressed with how good it was. I’m from the Philadelphia area and eat sushi at least once a week. This place is now in my top 3 favorite places to grab sushi. Only lost a star because the ginger dressing on salad wasn’t the best! Will come back next time I’m in Myrtle.

Awesome. Sushi and beer ftw. prices arent too bad imo. Bartenders downstairs were pretty chill and never had an empty bottle in front of me. Only downside is there was $ 5 cover to go upstairs and thats the only bar that has anything on tap. Still recommended though.

First time eating at SoHo and it was awesome! I had the SoHo Chicken which was delicious and the portions were generous. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and we didn’t wait at all. I would definitely go again the next time I’m in town.

We went here on our first stop in Myrtle beach. Food was so-so. The kids meals are not really kid friendly. For example, the chicken tenders I was told were not really like you see at other restaurants. We opted for a hamburger for my daughter instead. Hamburger in my opinion means it doesn’t come with cheese. Hamburger comes out as a cheeseburger with some weird sticky white cheese on top. My daughter didn’t want to eat it because it had the cheese. We were able to scrape most of the cheese off and put a lot of ketchup to cover the taste. The rest of our food was only subpar. Not somewhere I will be going back to on future visits to myrtle beach. I did give this a 2 because it has a very nice ambiance and would probably be a great spot to go if you were out drinking with your friends. If you drink enough you probably really don’t care how the food tastes.

This place was the jam when I was in college at CCU. Since then, they recently moved across the street to a larger space with a full renovation and a rooftop bar. I came in recently for drinks on the roof. There was a good crowd and the drinks were decent, but many of those crowd members were rather… how do I say… douchey? I had a good group of friends there so I had a good time regardless. I was with a buddy this past week and his girlfriend was out with some friends and we met up with them. We hung out at the bar and had some food first. I had a tempura crab sushi roll. I was pretty psyched about the price being that it was a specialty roll under eight bucks, but it was pretty small. It was about 2/3rds of a roll but a full size one elsewhere would be twelve dollars so it was fair. I ordered some edamame as well but was still hungry for more so I put in for an order of coconut shrimp. Only one other couple in the place was ordering food at that point so I assumed it would be out quickly. I think they forgot because it took over twenty minutes to get my fried shrimp. They were tasty when they arrived though. So far I’ve had mixed experiences so maybe I need to give it the old Goldilocks try and go for a 3rd to get a final conclusion.

Pretty popular with locals. Outdoor second floor rooftop bar that also does some live music. A little crowded and trendy but good place to meet up with friends and start enjoying your evening… can be crowded.

Every time we’re in myrtle beach we always eat at Soho because The food is really good. Today the service was great from Jay And Alex. But the manager Cindy, was the worse. As a Manager myself, she definitely needs some training. Ver disrespectful and rude. We very much understood and had no problem plan for a meal my cousin didn’t like. But Cindy’s attitude was terrible, she didn’t Listen, apologize, nor thank us for continuing to come back to their business. I would love to give her some leadership training. If it wasn’t for Jay, our Waitress, who was phenomenal, it would have not been a pretty turnout. I must say again the food was really good, but management was terrible! I will not spend another penny here.

We stumbled in here for lunch on a Saturday. We ended up ordering two salmon rolls and two of the bento box specials. The bento boxes were okay — I had a chicken teriyaki box and the chicken was dry and the teriyaki sauce tasted like the bottled Kikkoman teriyaki sauce you can pick up at the store. The egg rolls that came with it were a little bland and reminiscent of Panda Express. But the salmon rolls were SOGOOD. Maybe it’s because I’m from Colorado, but I couldn’t get over the quality of that salmon. So fresh and oily just like what it tastes like when freshly sliced. Don’t know if I’ll be back, but if I do, it’ll only be for those salmon rolls.

The thing about this place is the scene is dope. Rooftop, fire pits, music, a northern feels and crowd but the food is average at best– ANDTHEOWNERISTERRIBLE. I went with 5 people I never get to see– we had a few drinks and ate for hours between the 5 of us we must of rang up around $ 400 in sales and as the rooftop started to fill up we watched the owner approach our waiter and say«I need them out my friends are coming and want this table», obviously we weren’t supposed to hear this. All of the sudden a random waiter approaches our table and says this table is reserved and you need to go. We were stunned as we had food served to us which we were still picking at and were waiting on a round of drinks we had just ordered. We asked how this is possible and they said there was a reserved sign on the table which must of been removed? But we had been sitting there eating and drinking for almost 4 hours and this was never mentioned to us. Within minutes a group of waiters came with buckets of ice and started setting up the table for the owners friends while we were still sitting there. I was so angry and decided to speak to the owner myself and ask him why he didn’t have the curtsy to have told us an hour ago, before we ordered food and drinks, or even cash us out before they started taking our table from us while we were there and give it to someone else. When I asked how that’s possible he said they are going to spend more money than us. He then walked away from our conversation and approached his friends who took our table and spent much of his time with him while my group was left to stand with our drinks and food in our hands and«wait for another table to come available bc they are first come first serve» which then contradicts his story of the missing reserved table sign. I once again approached the owner explaining I don’t understand why he couldn’t ask another group of people to leave the table they were at who weren’t eating or drinking and just occupying the space. He said he couldn’t do this and to grab a table when they opened up, but obviously he can do this when his hot shot friends are there– he will kick out his own paying customers to entertain them. This guys people skills and customer service was awful! To resolve the issue I had to approach him– he had no intention of apologizing of confronting us for removing us from our table. I told him as the owner and pulling a stunt like this he should at the very least apologize and he gave us his business card and offered us a free shot? He did not comp one thing. Not one. My bf and I rang up $ 150 in foods and drinks and he didn’t offer anything to makeup for this. I cannot stress enough that I will never go back there. Separate from this issue there is only one unisex bathroom to be shared with everyone on the rooftop, while we were there a line of people were patiently waiting and someone knocked on the door and a waitress was occupying it smoke a cigarette– So in a nutshell the waitstaff is terrible and the owner is even worse. If his buds are in town he will kick you and your friends out from the table you are at to entertain them and change his story about why this happened a million times and offer you no apology. Truly the worst experience I have ever had.

I got the filet mignon skewers, my daughter got the grilled salmon and my boyfriend got the steamed crab legs. Filet mignon was super dry, the rice wasn’t cooked all the way. I couldn’t even eat it. I think I maybe ate 2,.3 bites. The crab was boiled? Didn’t appear steamed and we think it got left in the water. Very watery, soggy and tasteless. French onion soup was not very good. Spring rolls were okay. The only think that saved this dinner and me not asking to speak to the manager was that my daughter liked her salmon entrée. The waiter was attentive, but wasn’t friendly. Didn’t ask me to talk to his manager when I told him I didn’t like the entrée and soup. I usually will give restaurants a second try, but not this one.

Nice atmosphere, nice décor and good location. The sushi rolls tasted pretty good and seemed fresh, I’d give them a 7⁄10. Here’s the big but. All four specialty rolls we ordered were supposed to come with masago, not one of the rolls had masago, extremely disappointing. There were a few other mistakes with the order and requests and the server, while nice, took a very long time to do even the simplest of tasks like refill a drink(and it wasn’t busy at all). The manager was informed about the masago issue, he came over and gave is a little tub of it, after we had eaten half the rolls because we had been there for thirty minutes already and were hungry. Other than him bringing it out so we could put it on ourselves, on only half of the rolls, he did nothing to make up for the mistake, I mean, the roll wasn’t what was described on the menu and that’s a big issue to me. The manager didn’t comp any of the rolls, not good business in my opinion, and didn’t even comp my tea, he comped Nothing. Not a great experience even though the rolls were good, such a shame. Needless to say the manager lost our business, we will never be going back to this place.

We were a fan of this place, over our weekend visit, seeing as it was off season and one of the only finer dining restaurants within walking distance. Soho is as good as it gets for the area. We wished the upper sundeck was open, as it was enclosed to block the wind, but plastic all around to let in sunshine. Alas, it was not. The wine list was acceptable, with a full bar option as well. Appetizers, sushi, entrees and desserts were all done well, with nice choices. Happy hour had a great selection of beverages, appetizers, and rolls. It’s easy to make dinner on what was offered for happy hour, but don’t skip the main menu, or you’re missing out. The roll prices are very reasonable. Waitstaff is exceptional. Very attentive and knowledgable — even for some of us that tend to be very picky and harass the staff. Staff was great. Tea = sweet tea down there, so ask for unsweet if that is your preference. Watch out for the locals. I don’t think they cut off anyone here and locals can get very friendly and hard to shake. They are fun to watch though.

I was completely unimpressed with Soho. Parking is kinda of sketchy as you have to go through a narrow drive-way to a tiny parking lot in the back, but at least they have dedicated parking. The restaurant itself was nice on the inside and the service was fine but the food was in a word, «meh». We came during lunch and there were hardly any other people inside. Perhaps it was the first clue that we should have passed on the place. To be fair, it’s the off season but still… I ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch box special. There was maybe 4 ounces of chicken breast pounded out thin, severely overcooked, and slathered in a sauce that mostly tasted like high fructose corn syrup. Not exactly appetizing. The crab rangoons were alright but everything else was just mediocre. But for 10 bucks, it was passable. The biggest disappointment was the was seriously overpriced, mediocre sushi. They had a classic sushi sampler that came with a half order(6 pieces) each of california roll, tuna and avocado roll, and something with a whitefish for almost 20 dollars. That wouldn’t have been that bad if it tasted good but it was barely better than supermarket sushi. Some of the rolls fell apart when we tried to pick them up. We also ordered one of their specialty rolls call the Bang Bang Roll. I thought it was alright but my husband didn’t care for it. That entire plate of sushi in my picture was about 30 dollars which again wouldn’t have been a problem if it were good. All in all, I don’t ever plan on returning. Maybe their dinner menu is better but their lunch just left a bad taste in my mouth. And for almost 50 dollars for our meal, it definitely wasn’t worth it. The next time I want sushi out in myrtle, I’m just going to King Kong.

My 1st visit here was phenomenal and I can’t wait to go back. Food-I ordered 2 sushis from their huge half price sushi menu which both came with eight pieces and they tasted delicious. The sushi came to the table 10 minutes after I ordered it and tasted freshly rolled. I kept commenting to my party how delicious it was after every bite. Atmosphere-the restaurant was full and seating was crowded. It was hard to hear at times. We were seated in a small back room with no windows which was fine for me but other diners told the hostess to seat them elsewhere. I did not go up to the roof top to see how that was. Service-our waitress did a great job, was personable, was very knowledgable and seemed to know exactly what she was doing. I can’t wait to go back to this place and try some of their other sushi rolls!

So good!!! Now the parking was a little sketchy as we had to drive down a bit of an ally way to get to the parking lot. The lot has about 10 – 15 spaces. Due to the size we were surprised that they had a valet. Really?! I mean it’s nice and all but a bit of an overkill considering he doesn’t take cars out of the lot to park elsewhere if the lot is full. We found a spot and started to walk in. Not so great that you have to walk down the side of the building, passed the garbage dumpster and loud humming AC units before getting to the front door. I kind of felt like I was going to an underground casino and a large man at the door would be asking for the password. Once we found the front door we were sat quickly. The tables along the long red booth facing the bar were so close together! I’m not a slight man and even though I apologized beforehand, my rear got all up in some poor ladies face as I tried to shimmy my way to my seat. Our waitress was amazing. She was professional, personable, and polite. She made great suggestions which showed she really knew the menu. She got a great tip. We had the«made in house» crab Rangoons. Holy ham-sandwich they were delicious. Clearly not from a bag or ever frozen. We could have ordered another one of those and had been happy. Next we ordered three sushi rolls. We had the Dinosaur Roll, the Hurricane Roll, and the Volcano Roll. Now all were yummy but the Dinosaur Roll takes the prize for sure. We will go back, I think. Although I wouldn’t take a group of more than 4 unless you go to the roof top section, or want to sit in the tall bar chairs. Great food and service.

Brand new soho … Heating saki in a microwave because their machine broke, okay. But heating asparagus n cheese?! I love the bartenders and I hope their past at the old restaurant improves in the new location but it isn’t looking good. As a local I have also been treated poorly, I come back only for Nichole. As a bartender, I recommend King Kong over SoHo.

I went to Soho with my wife and we really enjoyed it, the new building is beautiful! The prices were pretty average, $ 10-$ 30 per person depending on how hungry you are, and the food was excellent. Our server had a beard and he was attentive and very pleasant, probably one of the best servers we’ve had. The sushi was really good, and I would recommend the bang bang shrimp. Absolutely delicious and only $ 6 during happy hour! Next time I hope to try out their new rooftop bar!

Best restaurant I have frequented in myrtle beach. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had the seared ahi tuna and my friend had the chicken and shrimp hibachi. The atmosphere was great, between the music and great conversation from the waitress we will definitely make this a regular stop when we are on our golf trips.

The view was about the best thing. Didn’t stay long enough for food due to being turned off by waitstaff. No knowledge about beers at a rooftop bar is a little weird as well as feeling like you are putting them out by asking.

Roof Top has a pretentious feel. The waitress approaches for introduction with zero personality asking what we would like to drink … Without drink menus or having knowledge of what’s on tap. The sushi at the table next to me looks good but I couldn’t speak to its quality. The wait staff turned me off to the point of not wanting to stick around. This place gets three stars simply for the roof top experience. Honestly, though, the view sucks. Off to the next joint…

I lived in the Surfside Beach area for years and attended CCU, so I love the MB area. Someone from a hotel recommended Soho, and since it was close, we thought it’d be good to try. The food was ok. Good but not too special. The portions are HUGE! I ordered Chargrilled Chicken & Shrimp. The chicken was a bit dry, and there were 3 breasts! That is a little absurd. Tip: we went to the upstairs patio bar for a coctail, while we waited for ou table. Give that a try. It has a Mediterranean tappas menu, and the atmosphere is totally different than downstairs. I wish we would have gone there. Or better yet, drive down the road to Murrells Inlet and get some amazing seafood.

This new Soho restaurant has all the same great items in menu as the original across the street. This new building is very modern and sleek with much more room than the original. The addition of a second story rooftop deck really puts this restaurant over the top compared to most in Myrtle Beach.

This was the most expensive place I ate at while I was at Myrtle beach, but it was worth it. Our waiter was very nice, he wasn’t very good at filling up waters, I had an empty glass for 90% of the meal. The food was very good, my sister and I split a sweet potato roll and then we had hibachi dinners. The miso soup there is so good, a must have when you go here. My hibachi dinner was only okay, I barley ate any of it, I believe it was the chicken hibachi dinner. My sister got two drinks, there strawberry lemonade, she liked them a lot.

On my first night of vacation at Myrtle Beach, we dined at Soho. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by friendly staff and was seated immediately. Considering it was 9pm, I expected no less nor did I expect a wait. We ordered 3 sushi rolls as seen in photos, Pad Thai with chicken, and shrimp tempera. Out of the three, the Pad Thai is what I would most likely come back to eat. The sauce was delicious and the chicken and veggies was cooked perfectly. It also came as a large portion which made it easy to share amongst a family of 3. The vegetable tempura that came with the shrimp was average and the broccoli was mushy. The shrimp however was exceptional. They fried large shrimps for their tempura. It was tasty. I would probably not order this dish again, as it was on the pricy side for tempura. The sushi was also delicious but required a 1 hour wait. After waiting for the sushi to come out, we expected the sushi to be amazing. The fish they used was fresh but I’ve definitely had better sushi. It wasn’t a disappointment but was not something I would have waited an hour for. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

I wish I had friends to go and sit and enjoy the restaurant, but I was loner status so I did carry out back to my hotel. The vibe does seem«poppin» as the kids would say! Calmari was standard good. Seared tuna app was ridiculously tender and sauce was yummo! sigh, I hate when anyone says yummo… but my policy is no going back on a review once I’m cruising… my apologies. Filet mignon skewer was larger than expected and cooked perfectly.
