One should really be careful when they decide to plaster their business name and phone number on a car that is driving recklessly on the freeway.
I just merged onto a carpool lane when a driver from this business decided he didn’t like that so we cut me off by driving on the side emergency ramp to get back in front of me. That was very rude and extremely dangerous for him, his car, and my car with my children.
I tried calling the company and And no one is there to answer.
Hire better people to represent your company!

This place is the worst place ever bad service! If you want to pay high prices and get cursed out by the owner and spoken to l like a child this is the place to be !!! My husband and I had a car’s interior and vinyl top done here we really thought we were coming to a real professional shop boy where we were wrong our car was drop of to the shop fresh out of paint when we received the car back it had all kinds of nicks and scratches small dents on the new $ 10,000 paint job and was told by the owner he did make them but he was not responsible for them after a long conversation he offered $ 500 off this is after I noticed that the new emblems on my car were broken… so if you want to get ripped off and told about it this is theexperience at this place place to be !!! I hope this saves someone’s from getting the stress we got from of this place!!! Save yourselfs!!!

I am in the process of restoring my beloved 1989 Acura Integra and I had what I thought was a rip in my headliner.
A ( Unilocal) highly rated upholstery shop in Sunnyvale (that begins with a «V») told me they would need to completely replace my existing vinyl headliner with a new cloth version.
I decided to get a 2^nd opinion from Mountain View Auto Interiors. The owner (Bob?) took one look at the rip and said «No worries. The headliner just popped loose from the gasket.» He pushed everything back into place, and it looks as good as new.
He could have easily charged me several hundred $ for that «repair» and I would not have known the difference. I will gladly be going back to his shop the next time I need some «real» work done.

I have a classic (2002) Prius, now with 92K miles, and the driver’s seat was collapsing. My wife could no longer adjust the seat forward for her to drive, and it seemed the foam had simply collapsed and was interfering with the adjustment mechanism.
On the recommendation of our mechanic, I went to Mountain View Auto Interiors and got a quote. They provided several options, and we chose to get the foam replaced. Turns out this is not a common part; they found two foam pads in the US in their online database, and had the nearest one (Wichita, KS) sent here.
All looked on track until they got the seat apart, and saw the problem was bigger — the foam had collapsed and ripped because the seat frame was also ripping and breaking — simple metal fatigue from my overweight rear end bashing the too-​thin metal for 10 years.
They scoured their database again and found a replacement for that part (I believe from some Toyota Service center in Oregon somewhere) and had it shipped in.
Finally, after a repair that took 2 days longer than expected, but with the help of the Internet, the car was ready and the seat good as new.
I have to say I thought Bob was very up-​front through all this, and I was surprised at the thinness of the metal used for the seat (clearly designed for more lightweight Japanese drivers).
The only reason I hesitate on the 5^th star is that I wish this had been apparent at the start, and we could have planned better for the longer down time for the repair. The discovery of the «hidden» damage caused extra delay and inconvenience, and if they’d had more experience with Prius of this model (granted, not a very common car), they might have realized it earlier.
However, overall, 3 cheers to Bob and his online databases.

Bob’s awesome: quicker and cheaper than quoted, great quality and even adviced on additional needed replacements although not charging for the work. My 07 Mustang Convertible was in good hands!!!

Very disappointing customer service.
Called about getting my convertible repaired and was quickly rushed off the phone before I could ask any questions. Will not be bringing my business there.

Called Val’s Auto in SF (with great Unilocal ratings) and they asked me about the repair and gave me a quote over the phone. That’s customer service.

They have been taking care of my cars for about 13 years now. Great shop, the owner knows his stuff! I’ve had two convertible tops replaced, seats recovered, seat heaters replaced, new carpets installed and all were done professionally and at the quoted price. I won’t take my care anywhere else. The shop is not much to look at, but the work is immaculate.

I had a experience very similar to that in the prior review by Matthias. The vinyl rear window in my Boxster’s convertible-​top was cracked, but the rest of the top was in good shape, so I just wanted to replace the vinyl window. Due to the design of the Boxster, this is a labor-​intensive process which involves disassembling most of the convertible top and sewing-​in a new vinyl window. In order to get a quality repair job, you need someone who knows what they are doing. I went to MVAI and Premier Auto Upholstery in Santa Clara for quotes and MVAI’s quote was about 60% of Premier’s. So I chose MVAI to do the work and they did a great job in just a few hours and the top came out as-​good-​as-​new. When you call them or visit their shop, it doesn’t have the most professional vibe, but based on my experience these guys do great work, on-​time and honor their quote.

My 9 year old Boxster needed a new vinyl rear window. The old one finally developed cracks. I got estimates from 3 different places. This place quoted about half of the cost of the other two, which always makes me suspicious. They did however come with a recommendation of my dealership. Carlsen Porsche apparently sends cars there to have work done. They stuck to their quoted price, the work was done in one day. The window now looks like new again. (I forgot what it’s like if you can see through the back window.) After a couple of months and opening and closing the roof many times, the window still looks good and fits as tight as new. Very nice work.
