I came in tonight and the worker was extremely rude. We were looking around for some candy and she was talking on the phone when she should have been helping us. She said she was off duty. I would not recommend coming here.

I went in today to buy a couple pounds of my favorite candy — chocolate covered gummi bears. I asked to try one(just one) of the gummi bears to be sure they weren’t stale, as they are sometimes. There was no one else in there, and the girl at the register said, «no, sorry, we don’t give samples». When I said I just wanted to be sure they were fresh, she just shrugged. Really? You can’t give 1 gummi bear away? That’s okay, you just lost my sale to Powell’s candy store, they are more than happy to let me be sure I am getting fresh candy. I’m pretty sure I know why there’s no one in that store…

As others have stated, I was quite surprised when my small bag of mostly jelly beans & gummy bears weighed to $ 10! There’s not much of a selection for packaged candy… almost all bulk. I couldn’t even buy a regular pack of M & Ms for my son.

We stopped by to support a new business in town, the owner was talking with some girl friends about personal stuff which we didn’t need to be hearing She never acknowledged us, we really wanted to buy something but ended up walking out. We were sad that this small business wasn’t geared up to wow the local community with great service

I bought 12 small pieces of candy — mostly consisting of chocolate covered gummy bears and somehow it totalled $ 5.40. I’m thinking the scale has been tampered with. I should have noticed by the empty store that something wasn’t right. Unless you own stocks in Apple, I recommend you purchase your candy elsewhere.

I think this Sweet Factory is dishonest; I think there is something seriously wrong with their scales. The first time I came here, I noticed that the bulk candy I buy cost a little more than it usually does. Eh, I shrugged it off and thought that maybe I had put a little extra in my bag than I usually do. Since then, I have come back to this location and have counted out my candy strips, and bought them. I then visited two other S.F. locations and bought the exact same thing. Their bulk prices were their same. At this location in the Shops at Mission Viejo, the same exact candy costs me just over $ 2 more. Scam to make more money, or just something wrong with their scales?
