Ive been rafting most of my life. Ask for Corey it was easily the best experience of my life on any water.

Very well run operation, knowledgeable guides. We did the two-​day camping/​rafting package. Nice campground on the river, clean bathrooms with hot showers. Would definitely do it again — highly recommended!

Cody was a great guide. Low-​key, experienced, funny, nice, great with kids. Highly recommended!
The rafting was also surprisingly fun. It’s a low-​water year, but there were more rapids than usual at the end of the S. Fork, and the normal ones were just plain fun. The kids had the best time ever.

Brian was our guide, experienced, professional and friendly.
Reservation staff also accommodating.
The reason not giving it 5stars, because more than 90% of our «Class-​3» trip was in fact Class-​1 and Class-​2, moving too slow without much paddling. This could be a 2-​hour trip (instead of 4) if we could paddle more. Somehow all rafts from various companies seemed to be in sync, moving slowly, rarely passing each other and all ending at the same time.
Overall it was a fantastic family activity and a lot of fun.

This was one of the most awesome experience ever. Our guide Cory was awesome! We had the best experience. We took the class 3 raft. But we are definitely gonna come back for a class 4 someday

Excellent time on a 2 day expedition! We showed up with a bachelor party and jake, kitty, Kelsey and disco Dave took it all in stride. They were laid back and fun and made sure that we had a good time. Our guides all grew up rafting and it showed.
The meals were excellent and plenty.
We got to ride more Rapids then all of the other NERDS from the other companies. We wanted some adventure and we got it. Would recommend these guys to anyone looking to go rafting. We will be back.

One of the best experiences of my life! So many great things during this trip but the staff really put the icing on the cake. Very knowledgeable and energetic. I was very nervous going into it but that quickly went away as soon as we hit the water. We did a whole day of rafting and I still wanted to continue because I was having such an amazing time. The lunch was good and exactly what we needed. I can’t wait to come back a do this again!

Best rafting experience! Had Dave W as our tour guide on the two day trip, if you want an adventure hes the best. Alot of fun, great customer service and experience. Book tributary!

Went on a full day rapids tour today and had an amazing time. Our tour guide Marge was amazing we had fun the whole time from start to finish. We got to do some fun tricks down the river. I would recommend 100% to anyone. We plan kn going back to try a harder rapid next time. We did the ²⁄₃ rapids which is for beginners. Marge made it more fun as we went on down the river and relized we could handle it. Best part was the tricks we got to do; caught an eddie, hit a boof a couple time, and nailed a splat on a rock. Compared to the other tours we saw on the river we deffently had the most fun.

Wow. So this is my first review on Unilocal EVER… but I have to say this was by far the best experience of my life. My stepdad called up this morning out of blue and from him everyone was so accommodating to us from the start.
He called up at 10:30am and before we knew it we had a 12pm arrival time. AWESoMe. Only people to actually answer the phones today :). We arrived to meet up with the full day rafters and had our safety class and was put in to Jim’s raft.
Wonderful wonderful tour guide, Jim is. He’s been at this for a long time, and I can tell definitely knows his Rapids and loves doing this. Going down the river was beautiful and going into the rapids was so thrilling. Being from Chicago We don’t get this kind of excitement back home! Jim let us leave the raft a few times to jump into the river on slow parts and he showed us all the different Rapids names and rocks that makes this river greAt. I felt safe the whole time because all the tour guides really help out and know how to handle the river and take it on!
Since I’ve never done a review before I am doing this because I highly recommend this company. Fabulous time today, and awesome tour guides who make the day enjoyable. A+ for everything. Thank you Jim!
P.s Being 26 years, I have to point out that as I didn’t get this tour guide but wished I had for various beauty reasons, there was an extremely handsome, beautiful tour guide in this company that was so cute to look at all day in the other raft. Please tell him that for me. :) He was tall had a blue n red tie-​dye shirt on with a hat. A short dark brown beard with short curly dark brown hair. Ugh I wish I knew his name. So Cute .

I did the half-​day trip with a couple of guys in my family and we all had a complete blast! The rapids on the south fork river were insane and better yet I didn’t fall out of the boat the entire trip even though we took some scenic routes Our tour guide’s name was Cody and I believe that he by far is the best one there — not being biased or anything #PaddleHighFive #AlrightThatsGoodStop Had an amazing time — it’s definitely worth it! 5 Stars all the way! #GoCody

If you like a secluded river run, the 11-​hour drive to Lower Klamath is well worth it!
Our GSGLA Troop 5051’s last blast — they’ve been together since 1^st grade and are now rising college freshman. We had a great time on a 3-​day, 2-​night adventure on the Lower Klamath River with Jake, Brittany and Joel. With the river to ourselves and no a soul in sight, we encountered a ton of wildlife — bald eagles perched high in their nests, osprey diving for fish, a couple of golden eagles, blue jays /​woodpeckers, otters, bear scat (no bear — phew!).
Jake and Brittany were great, safe navigators but also challenging — our girls got to swim down rapids and try out the kayak on a couple runs! Beautiful hike up to the Ukonom Falls — well worth climbing up the rocky slopes and taking a dive in the chilly pool of water. And after each day’s rafting, a welcome greeting of ice-​cold lemonade & snacks from Joel with our camping gear in tow! Girls were amazed to have appetizers for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Our two troop advisors loved the pampered gourmet meals (not to worry about meal planning and lugging gear for same) –chix/​beef tacos, dutch oven lasagna and brownies (yum)! Learned about some new camping gear to add — bucket sinks, drying pocket rack and the GROOVER (no, I think we’ll leave that one alone)!
Best of all, the evening campfire chats to learn about each other (Joel and Jake — you’ve got to encourage the boss to record his knowledge of the rivers so his legacy can live on), travel (Jake and Brittany — visit Sabrina in Shanghai) and reflect on life experiences. Truly enjoyed being ‘unplugged’ from the rat race of Los Angeles!

We planned a full day trip with Tributary and it was not a disappointment! Our guide, Jim B. was amazing, fun and had a sensational sense of humor. It was the best trip I have had with my family in a long time, Jim made the ride exciting by surfing the waves and even gently dumping us to cool off. I would highly recommend Tributary for a fun and safe trip. Thank you Jim for a kick a** ride.

This is for half day rafting. We were late by 30 mins to reach the spot (thanks to Google maps for letting us lost in the middle). They provided the directions, let us in and accommodated so good. Peet, our guide Kept instructions so simple, super easy to follow and made our rafting so convenient. He is so professional and is damn good at what he is doing. Rafting is level 3, has 3 good and 3 major rapids. Drove a mile to view our rafting pics and bought those, even these are damn good. On the whole, a super, first time rafting experience. Cheers!!!

Did a day trip down the South Fork with kids and grandkids the last weekend of May 2015. It was amazing. Our guides, Lee and Casey, were wonderful and really went out of their way to make sure that everyone had a good time. The age range of our group was 10 to 65. Everyone in the family was smiling, laughing and screaming with delight all the way down the river. I kept hearing «epic», «awesome», «amazing» and «better than anything else we’ve done on a camping trip». We rented a Go Pro and Tributary made sure that we knew how to use it as well as offering to answer any questions about the video files once we got home and loaded everything on to the computer. Overall a wonderful experience.

Easy rapids for beginners. Great guides lots of splashes, great scenery. The half day trip was plenty of fun, I couldn’t stop smiling the whole way down. Probably the most enjoyable outdoor experience In have ever had.

Had a blast this past weekend with Tributary. First, I’m very grateful that they managed to accommodate my friends and I at the last minute. We were lucky to arrive for the opening of the Middle Fork route, so nice to be the first group of people to experience this route this year. Pretty far drive for me personally, but once I arrived I was greeted by the very friendly crew.
It takes about 20 minutes to get to the starting point, but once we arrive there you really start to feel excited. At this point, the crew goes through some basic safety instructions and provides you with all the equipment you need for your trip.
I have to say the whole crew was awesome and super friendly, but we managed to get Peaches and Stephanie as our guides. Had a blast with them along the whole way with their conversation and humor. Safety was never an issue, as Peaches and Stephanie were both fun and easy going but were very conscious of safety pretty much throughout the trip. The combination of both the rafting itself and the guides is what made this experience stellar for me.
One of the best perks: The lunch they set up for us. The lunch they have is not your plain basic lunch. They had all types of things to eat and munch on which again made the experience even better.
Overall, I’m very happy to have picked tributary for this trip. I’m looking forward to the next time.

I could give more than 5 stars if I can. We went on a company team white water rafting event on September 18^th and we all had a blast! Their team is awesome (kudos to our boat leader Dave)…
We are already planning to go back when the season is open again. The team, the food, the trip,. everything was great. We will also miss the cutest pup Lily ! :) Thanks guys for everything!

Wanted to give kudos to the folks at Tributary Water Tours, and especially our fantastic guide, Jeff (known by the staff as «Hippie». We (my wife, 13-​year-​old son and 11-​year-​old daughter and I) booked the full day tour down the South Fork of the American River on the first day (a Monday) of our week-​long Lake Tahoe vacation. They are about 90 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, and easily worth the drive.
The first half of the trip was a mellow ride down the river with a few class 1 and 2 rapids here and there. There were opportunities for us to jump in to the river if we wanted, and the water was cool and refreshing on a hot day. All the while, Jeff kept us entertained and informed. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the river, the plants, the animals and the hydrodynamics that made the rapids do what they do.
At lunchtime, we arrived back at the spot on the river where we started (we took a bus upriver a few miles to start the day) and had lunch, prepared by the guides. Sandwiches, chips, salsa, fresh fruit and plenty of water and lemonade. It was a great spread, actually.
Getting ready for the second half of the trip, our 11-​year-​old daughter was a little fearful, knowing that the class 3 rapids were ahead. Jeff made her feel really comfortable by putting her in the back of the boat, directly in front of him so he could grab her if necessary, etc. This all made her feel more comfortable, and she had an absolute blast during that second half of the trip. Jeff took cool lines through the rapids that other guides didn’t and really had some fun with us. He gave us a thrilling ride while making us feel safe along the way. He invited us to jump out and swim a few of the rapids (that are deemed safe to do so on), which was a blast.
I really can’t say enough about Jeff. He made our trip truly memorable. I’m sure the other guides were great, but Jeff was way more interesting, from what we could see. He was exactly what you’d want in a rafting guide. He was in control but made sure we were all having a great time. He assessed our thrill/​risk tolerance and picked lines accordingly. We did a few rapids backwards or twirling in circles because he could tell were down with that. He told great jokes. Make sure he tells the whale joke. And if he tells you one about Chuck Norris involving Alexander Graham Bell and the invention of the telephone, he heard it from ME!
