Rise Up River Trips

We were a group of twelve this last week end. six fathers and six sons. It was one of the best nature trips we have had. the whole staff were excellent. The were on time to pick us up from the Airport. He stopped on the way to allow us to go to subway. then took us to the campground which was all set up with the tents and sleeping bags. Staff of 5 people cooked, cleaned and fed us for three days. The food they cooked was fresh and very tasteful. Bbq chicken, beef and etc. The rafts guides were great and fun. Stephanie, Jennise and Dominiqe were absolutely great. Leo who was drving us back and forth with the shuttle was a great person and told us all about the history of the area. On the way back to airport, he took us to Sacramento and showed us the old town. He was very patient. Thanks to all of you for a great week end. we will be back next year.

Just returned from the Gormet Diner Trip last evening. what a lovely way to share a Gormetmeal with friends. The river was peaceful. The scenery beautiful and the delicious meal outstanding. We traveled to perfect secluded spot where a beautiful table was awaiting with friendly attentive staff. Each course was paired with appropriate wine. We were treated as special guests and after eating leisurely continued down river to our cars. Now the food was excellent as good as you will get in any fine resturant, with fresh local ingredients. A unique experience to treat yourself and loved ones.

I’m not new to river trips. I am new to fly fishing. And Rise UP (Grady, Robby and Ben) ran one of the best river trips I’ve ever done. First off, Robby and Grady are so incredibly patient and easy to learn from, they tied endless flies for me and never once were upset when I caught the bushes or the bottom of the river, which was often. They gave fantastic instruction and they know where the fish are. I caught more fish than I had energy for! These guys slay it on the river… and off. Ben their chef was incredible. Camp was set up, tidy and cold beer was in hand from Ben, as our boat landed on shore. What a guy. His food was some of the best I’ve ever had on an adventure/​river trip. Presentation was that of a 5-​star restaurant. And these guys are just dang, fun, funny, entertaining and full of energy and good humor. The Middle Fork of the American is a deep, beautiful remote river run. There is very little access, so the fish there are whoppers, healthy and ready to munch your fly. Rise up, get on the boat and go fishing with these guys… you won’t regret it and like me, you’ll be booking again soon!!! Thanks Robby, Grady and Ben — you guys are a stellar crew! Just got back from my 8^th trip with Rise Up. I’ve been on both the South Fork and Middle Fork American River trips (including overnight trips), and have had a great time on each trip. Rise Up has a fantastic crew of professional guides who always make for a wonderful, safe trip, and some of the guides double as superstar chefs for evening meals.
