I was referred to Sun Auto/​Terry S and couldn’t be happier! Terry and the team at Sun Auto are awesome! They took the time to correctly and honestly diagnose the problem and saved me over $ 700 from the dealer quote. Terry also took the extra time to explain and go thru the entire system to make sure the job was done right. I will continue to recommend them to my friends and clients.

For years my friend has been telling me to go to Sun Auto because they have a high level of customer service and are «straight shooters». So when I knew I needed a certain replacement part on my car, I took it to them.
On the positive side, they were extremely courteous and professional, and likely do a good job.
But when they came back with the quote, they said it would be over $ 700. I’m no mechanic, but that sounded high. I looked at the breakdown, and they wanted almost $ 500 for the part alone. So I took a few minutes to call around.
My dealer (the biggest scammer in the world) only wanted $ 200 for the part. AutoZone had one in stock for $ 120. A little cursory checking online showed me that if I wanted to order from Amazon, it would end up being less than $ 60!
So even if they were selling me the exact OEM part from my original vehicle, they were marking up the part more than 100% (I’m purposefully not mentioning the part name so they don’t come back with some double-​speak comment).
I asked if they could put on the AutoZone part for me instead. They said yes, but that the cost of the labor would increase and there would be no guarantee on the work. I said no thanks, explained I needed to save some money, showed him the price of the part online… and the man threw my key back at me and the nice customer service and smiles suddenly came to an abrupt halt.
I looked up a top rated independent mechanic here on Unilocal.He put the part on for $ 75 and a 1 year guarantee.
If you’re keeping score at home, that’s $ 195 I ended up paying vs. $ 700. If I had wanted to wait for the part to arrive in the mail, it would have been even less than that. So just do yourself a favor, if you take your car here and the quote seems high, sit down with your smart phone for a couple minutes and check around for the price of the part. If your experience was anything like mine, you might save yourself a nice chunk of change.
In the end, I blame myself. The friend that had been recommending this place to me is wealthy and just wants his car fixed quickly, whatever the cost is. If this is all you care about, I’m sure Sun Auto is a fine place.

We absolutely love this place, they are always honest, on time and only suggest what is needed. Everyone who works there is fantastic. We only take our cars here and highly recommend these guys.

These people have no idea what they are doing. Took my car to them for a second time to use my Warranty, what a mistake! The first time someone stole a movie ticket from my car! They called me an apologized replaced my ticket and i got over it… I hadn’t returned until recently.
I take my car in… They run a ridiculous diagnostic on my car he just drove it, didn’t look under the hood at all. And claimed it was my break pads causing me issues and that unfortunately that’s not covered under my warranty. They made me pay for a coolant flush. I didn’t need.
But the worst part is when I took my vehicle to get the brakes fixed. It wasn’t the brake pads at all, it was another much more serious issue these people «missed», that was covered under warranty!
I would not trust these people with my car. They’ll smile in your face, and ruin your car. Horrible!

I got my oil changed here today and the experience was wonderful. They were pretty booked but I was able to drop the car off and they called when they were finished. We had almost gone to jiffy lube earlier in the day and Sun Autos prices were definitely cheaper. The guys that work there are really friendly and it is a family owned business so you are getting quality work from people who care.

When you pull into a new auto shop you begin to sweat, wonder what type of roller coaster ride you will be in for and what stories will I hear soon. after my service engine light came on Friday night and deciding not to take it to team ford because after all they kill you with the labor and they always seem to find ten other things wrong besides the one you brought the truck in for to begin with and there is always an up sell.
Well not here I was happy to find out that my family in AZ uses no one but sun devil auto who owns the sun auto as well. Nothing but good things to say about them so I took a chance and glad I did. I am especially happy to find out they are also the provider for the carmax extended warranty which is a bonus.
Mike called gave me the run down no BS no pressure and explained it all to me. They had my truck back to its old self within a few hours and even showed me the old parts. I have never just had anyone in any other service place show me the parts without asking.
I am sold and have placed their business on my employers internal employee bulletin board so people know who to call if they have a problem. Excellent business with excellent people and they know what customer service means you can’t have a business without customers. Thank you Sun Auto!!!

Extremely over priced… If they tell you something is wrong with your car GET A SECOND OPINION!!!

Can’t say how nice of an experience it was today. I’ve brought my vehicle here before for regular maintenance and have always had fast and friendly service. Never felt like I was being pushed into unnecessary repairs or taken advantage of. Just yesterday I needed a major repair done and although expensive, they made the process very smooth. Made an appt. for my second vehicle that day for an oil change and they gave me an appt. the very next day. Took my truck in today was done in less than an hour and they did not charge me! I couldn’t believe it. He said do not worry about it, you had enough here yesterday. That absolutely made my day. As much as I appreciate them it was nice to feel appreciated by them as well. Thank you guys so much! Shiloh is my new favorite man :)

These guys are always so helpful and make me feel like they truly want the best for me and my truck :) If you want to feel respected and well taken care of, come HERE!

Air Conditioner Issues in the middle of summer. Go somewhere else.
They are very friendly and accommodating however ALWAYS GET A 2ND AND 3RD OPINION. My AC only worked on the highest setting and it squealed. I dropped it off so they could check it out. I received a call back 4 hours later and this is what was said: «My friend, you’re going to need a whole new AC system that will cost around $ 1200 to replace» I was shocked and I said i couldn’t afford it, he said he could do a partial fix for about $ 800, again I said no. Then he said he could cut me a deal with the labor and pushed it down to $ 500. I guess anytime some one calls you «my friend» on the phone be weary… Anyway, I went to Fred Marsh and Firestone and they BOTH said I just needed a new blower motor (and they both were going to charge anywhere from $ 200-​$ 450). I went out and bought my own blower motor and installed it in less than an hour. Cost me $ 80 for the part and about a total of 3 hours of my time researching the part, buying it and installing it. I’m not sure if it’s a misdiagnosis by Sun Auto or if they were just trying to get some money out of me, either way I’m glad I didn’t cave in just because it was a bit warm.
Also, as I walked out of the door the sales rep said «It can get hot out there, good luck». Read into that what you will, but I learned my lesson. $ 1200 down to $ 80, lucky me.

Technicians at the shop are very knowledge and highly trained. Great place for almost all makes & models… However, one of the employees is a dodge fanatic, so he if you have a dodge, he is definitely the person you want working on it.

This is a place that will take you for everything you have if you are in a hard place. They are charging me 114 dollars to flush my brake fluid. Because my infant son was with me I had to pay it so my car could stop again. I would recommend that you don’t ever come here if you can help it.

The hardest part of moving to a new town is finding a good mechanic. However, I’m happy to say I’ve found mine. Yesterday, I met with Shilo Barker at the centennial location and couldn’t be happier. He took the time to explain every detail of the worked required. His honesty is something hard to find in this industry.

Customer service was awesome. Thought I was coming in for brakes turns out I need an update for my car. A diagnostic test was done on my car charging 116 and then was told after diagnostics that they do not service my Subaru Outback for those things. I am sorry but, that should have been expressed to me before the diagnostic otherwise I should have went elsewhere. Now I am ending up paying the same diagnostic testing at the dealership. Otherwise I felt they were being upfront about my car.

So my a/​c went out in my mustang. And I went around trying to find the best deal. Everyone was saying that it would be 500 and around 2 days to fix. Well came in this morning, they hunted down my parts no problem, and fixed it like it was nothing. And the price! It was amazing how for the customer these guys are. The customer service is 100. Everyone should go here. I’ll be back

They were able to get me in for an oil change in less than an hours notice and even though they looked pretty busy were able to get me in and out in less than an hour! Very polite staff and weren’t pushy at all when telling me the things on my car that needed attention. Just moved to this side of town and I’m happy to say I’ve found my new auto place!

Great service and great customer service! They really look out for you! Been taking both trucks here for a couple years now! They keep track of your records and keep you posted of what will be upcoming. Plus it’s cheaper for them to do an oil change than for me to do it!

Came in to get an oil change, and these guys took great care of me! The entire process was so simple. I called and made an appointment for Saturday morning. I went in, Mike took down my information, and I dropped the car off.
Within an hour I received a phone call letting me know that my car was ready. When I came in to pay, these guys didn’t try to over-​sale me on things that I didn’t need for my car. Instead, they gave it to me how it was! I was informed of the condition of my car, what I should consider servicing within the next few months, and that was it.
As a woman, I can honestly say that working with mechanics can be somewhat intimidating. I’ve come across some shops that try to take advantage of the fact that you may not know much about cars – Sun Auto wasn’t anything like that.
I would highly recommend stopping in to get your car serviced here. Mike and Shiloh are extremely professional. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!

We needed a oil change for one of our workers cars and this place got our car in and out on the same day. This side of town is always super busy for anything car related so we were surprised that they could get us in on the same day.
The manager Shiloh was super nice and friendly which is a plus. They did the work and didn’t overcharge or try to come up with crazy repairs that weren’t needed for the car. We will definitely be back for our other vehicles. The prices for oil changes can’t be beat and if it saves my husband from having to get under the hood of the car and honest repair work then we will be back for sure.
