If you ever have a problem with your spa, the first and only call needs to be to Spas and Moore. Doug, the owner, is super knowledgeable and always tries to give you ideas on what you can do to fix the issue yourself without having a service call. But if you need a service call, there is no better technician than David. David has worked on hot tubs for me for years and he always figures out what’s wrong and gets it going again quickly. Recently our tub quit heating so David replaced a thermostat and thought we were good to go. When that didn’t solve the problem, he returned to replace the heating element and gave us a very reasonable price. All-​stars David and Doug are my go-​to professionals for any spa challenge. They love what they do and service their customers like we are the only ones on the planet. Doug always says, «Don’t worry. We will take care of you.» And they do, exactly when they say they will. Wish every business operated in this fashion. Total excellence. Thank you gentlemen for all the years of superb service.

Just got off the phone with Doug, who was a wealth of information. He has already saved me precious time, energy and money by directing me away from the mistakes that so many of us make when using pool and spa chemistry for the first time. I only wish I’d called him PRIOR to purchasing a spa. Five stars and a tip of the hat to this business! Now all I need is a pool… and I’m definitely calling Doug!

Well, color me very impressed so far! The motor for the heating element in my tub died, and I called several repair companies. Doug was the only one who got back to me promptly, and he was flexible in giving me several options for when his technician could come out to the house.
David was prompt and personable, and showed me why my motor had malfunctioned sooner than expected, and what I would need to do about it going forward.
Doug was incredibly easy and accommodating about handling the repair and offering to actually manage the entire refilling etc. process so that my tub was ready to use by the end of the work week.
I get the feeling that Doug just likes people, and likes his business, and wants to make it all work and make his customers happy. Doesn’t SEEM like that’s such a huge big deal, but it’s unusual enough in my sad experience that it puts him head and shoulders over the pack. He’s got me as a committed customer.

David was courteous, prompt and very knowledgable. He replaced my heaters circuit board and gave me additional tips on pool maintenance.

In the spa repair business, many businesses are unresponsive and flaky.

They were here when they said they would be.
David was friendly, polite, professional and fast.
He repaired/​replaced everything that was broken or malfunctioning.

Doug Moore and his company, Spa’s & Moore have taken care of our Master Spa for many years. They not only did a fantastic job of maintaining the purity & clarity of the water, but promptly responded to occasional mechanical issues. On 3 separate instances over about 10 years when a pump or heating mechanism has failed just before a holiday weekend or when we were expecting guests; Doug himself came out, inspected the problem and insured repairs were made in time for everyone to use the spa. We highly trust, respect and recommend Spa’s & Moore.

Called initially because my spa was leaking and now I have Doug and the team doing everything for my spa. They are responsive, flexible and meet your needs. He is honest with you on what you need and what you don’t. I have not had to worry about my spa since turning it over to him and his team. When I send him an e-​mail he gets back to me quick! I highly recommend them as other companies have totally ripped me off.

This guy is so rude. He is a terrible business man and just a pain to do business with. I can’t believe that we didn’t fire him long ago. The spa was kept clean but every time he calls me for something he is rude and unprofessional. I would never recommend this business to anyone. I was billed for a month of service when they didn’t even do anything. We locked our yard because of neighborhood theft and asked him to have the spa cleaner ring our door bell for access or let us know when someone was coming out. He decided that was too much of an effort and didn’t want our business anymore which is fine by me. However, I am not about to pay for a month when they didn’t do anything. Seriously, this guy has a real problem with his attitude.

They were great. Right on time and super professional. They left my really dirty spa just sparkling and ready to use. Will definitely use them again.

I’ve been using Spas & Moore exclusively for my swim spa and I can’t give them a high enough rating. Last year they replaced my Swim pump (after 7 years of daily use) and when it failed 1 year and 3 months later — Doug sprang into action after I emailed him. Dave came out and ran some tests and verified it was beyond «dead». Doug took the extra step and contacted the Manufacturer and set up everything up. (He even waited while I got a waiver from the City of Dublin water company since it was going to be about 2800 gallons to refill the Swim Spa since it had to be empty to remove the pump.) Dave came out and removed the «bad» pump and off it went to the manufacturer. Because of the long delay and my needs Doug made a deal to get me a new pump — while he waited for a credit on the old one. Once again Dave came out and put in the new pump. Three service calls and I only paid for a few parts and shipping of the pump. I am ecstatic.
I will continue to use Spas & Moore for both monthly visit, Alicia keeps my Swim Spa sparkling, and Maintenance, Dave always shows up on time and cleans up after himself, he also explains and answers my questions.
I will always recommend Doug and his team to anyone I know with a Spa. Thanks guys for everything.

My spa was installed in 1990. The spa service I used went out of business and I had no idea who to call. After much research I called a company but was told they were too busy but to give Doug Moore of Spas and Moore a call. I hesitantly called and was told someone would be out to determine what I needed and let me know. Well, Doug and his staff have been servicing my spa for quite a while now. Doug has been fabulous and his team absolutely great! Alicia has been by twice a month and when there is a problem, Dave has been out to fix it. Repairs have always been done quickly. I have been totally happy with Spas and Moore!

Doug Moore of Spas & Moore is a friendly and reassuring phone presence, quick to return a call. He listens carefully to your problem and explains clearly what he can do. His team is prompt, friendly and efficient. I had an issue with my hot tub the other day that I couldn’t understand and called around to a few technicians. Most told me they couldn’t see me soon and warned me at the likely expense of any fix. Doug was able to send one of his guys out within two days, and he took care of the problem within an hour, charging me just the base rate for a service call. The tub is bubbling away happily again, thanks to Spas & Moore!

What a great place! I was so happy with how great the customer service was. I bought my first home and noticed the hot tub was not working so we needed to get it repaired. I was really nervous about prices but I really feel I got a great deal and they were willing to work with me. I highly recommend them. Thanks for being so awesome and making everything so easy. :) My spa was repaired quickly and I am very happy with the overall service.

When we bought our «new» house, it came with an above ground hot tub. The hot tub it came with was in decent condition, but the electrical box was literally hanging off the side (safety hazard), the hot tub cover was worn down to the styrafoam and the previous owners took the canopy that was over the spa itself (we bought a short sale). I called around to a couple of companies based in Danville/​San Ramon and I was referred to Spas and Moore since the hot tub was an above ground kind.
I called and left a message and was called back within an hour. I spoke with Doug who set up an appointment to measure the hot tub for a new cover (I got to choose from several colors) to give the spa an inspection and to schedule a deep cleaning. The spa cover/​assessment and cleaning was not inexpensive but not unreasonable. Our contractor fixed the electrical issue-​putting the box on the wall and underground wiring.
The service is a workable system for monthly maintenance and at a very reasonable price. Sad that the reviews here are so crappy as in our experience thus far, they are not deserved. The only thing I wished they would do is to leave a «calling card» when they have come and gone. Nothing fancy, just a little note.

Excellent service, easy to work with! We purchased a house with a broken jacuzzi, they rehabilitated it and it’s working great now. Prices were competitive after checking numerous others. I plan to use them for any future needs.

I had a great experience with Doug and his technician. I bought an older home in Alamo and it had a spa that is at least 20 years old. We have lived in this house a year and a half thinking the spa was broken and wondering if we could pay someone to haul it out of our backyard. It was nasty inside with mold and dead leaves.
When I started having some back pain we decided to see if it was fixable. I called Doug and he sent his guy out and had it up and running for a reasonable fee. A few days later there was a problem with a thermostat switch (again, unit is very old). Doug sent his guy out right away, got it fixed, and didn’t even charge us for coming back out again. They were very prompt, courteous, and responsive!

I called a number of spa places randomly, looking for advice on a bubbler problem with an in-​ground spa, on a Friday evening. Doug was the first (and only, so far) person to get back to me, and spent 10 minutes on the phone helping me out, which he didn’t have to do. I am pretty knowledgeable about pool systems, but know very little about spa details (like aeration), and Doug took the time and solved the problem — no charge. I appreciate that, and will definitely call Spas and Moore should I have any issues or repair needs in the future.

The service I received was variable and inconsistent. There were weeks were I could tell the pool cleaner had not come and other weeks were I could clearly tell the vacuuming I paid for had not been done. When I called owner he was always quick to defend his workers and would be condescending towards me. I was put off by his attitude because I definitely knew more about my pool and pools in general, than he thought I would. I just do not have time to maintain my pool during the week.
As I result, I was motivated to learn more and more about my pool and look for someone new. Also, the owner gives advice and suggestions based on what his workers tell him, but he has never based these on his own observations and that was evident from my conversations with him. I felt I was also pushed to add more services or consider things I didn’t necessarily need.
