Business Owner

Early in my career, I acquired a position in a portrait studio working with a variety of photo techniques, including posing and studio lighting but more importantly getting to know people. I have managed a camera store and educated customers in the camera classes teaching both technical and esthetic uses of the camera and related computer skills.

My knowledge and flair with people have helped me become an exceptional freelance photographer specializing in portraits, weddings and Bar/​Bat Mitzvah’s.

My interests and passion for photography constantly increase as I continue to educate myself to form a better understanding of what it means to be a great photographer, and an artist.

I had the pleasure of working with Maxine at a wedding event last weekend at Murrieta’s Well in Livermore. From the moment we spoke, she was very friendly, enthusiastic and fun to work with. Throughout the sequence of events, she captured every moment, especially those candid shots that come naturally. After reviewing her work, I was really impressed with what she did with the space. Although the scenery was nice, she did an excellent job bringing out the beauty of the venue as well as of the bridal party and guests. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a great photographer who is truly engaged in and passionate about her work. Thanks Maxine!

If you’re fortunate you will get to work with Maxine. She took photos at our wedding and did a marvelous job of catching everyone there at a great moment. Her CD of the event is beautiful. And of course here I am again and she has done my professional photos and is working on an artistic piece for me. What a gem!

I needed a photographer for my company’s open house/​cocktail party. The photographer needed to be professional and have experience taking photos at a more corporate event, but also reasonably priced. I’m so happy I found Maxine! Everyone in my office was very impressed with the pictures she took at our event. She was great at capturing moments without intruding or interrupting people’s conversations. She sent the final pictures to us after just 3 days and set them up on a website to easily access and download about 250 photos taken over a 3 hour period. She was the most reasonably priced photographer out of everyone I looked into, and I think her professionalism and quality finished product was better than I would have gotten with someone else. My company, a commercial real estate firm in San Francisco, can have high expectations, but everyone was blown away by Maxine’s work. I can easily give her a 5 star rating and recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer.

I was very impressed not only with how easy and fun Maxine is to work with. But also her knowledge of the industry and what she is doing. Given that I’m near completely clueless when it comes to photography… it was refreshing to work with someone who not only knows what they are talking about, but manages to make it fun at the same time. I would absolutely recommend Maxine. All her work turned out amazing and I will definitely be using her services in the future!

Great photos of events showing people enjoying themselves and not being self-​conscious. Gets the most out of them and adds to their fun. Everyone ends up looking good no matter if they are inside, outside, alone or in a big group.
Definitely a photographer to use for any event. maxine also is a fantastic teacher and has shown me many tricks on how to use my camera, download onto my computer, and has come to my rescue a number of times when I have a technical problem!
