Established in 1984.

I have been a general contractor for over 25 years. While a seminary student in 1976, I built bookcases and patched walls for my professors. From there, I apprenticed with other contractors before beginning my own business in 1982. I have a wide variety of residential building experience. I am licensed, bonded and have liaiblity insurance. I am also a lead certified firm with the EPA.

In 1984, I volunteered with seven months for Habitat for Humanity in Americus, Georgia. I was selected to teach and supervise former President Jimmy Carter on framing a house during his first volunteer time with Habitat. This was a highlight of my career.

I have found David Selvig to be extremely reliable, trustworthy, and honest. He has high work ethics and his attention to detail is beyond anything I could have hoped for in a contractor. He finished my job before moving on to other work. He is easy to communicate with. His pricing is fair and his contracts are clear. David takes care of dealing with all permits and passed all inspections easily. I felt confident having David working my home, as well as my clients. I’m a real estate agent and often am asked to refer contractors. He respects your home, and cleans up at the end of each day.

David Selvig Construction has helped us with several projects at home. He painted our bathroom, installed a water shut-​off valve for our new fridge, and also enlarged our bedroom closet. He is very professional, timely, pleasant, thorough, meticulous and kind, not to mention honest and trustworthy. He is also a very hard worker, proficient, and extremely knowledgable. We enjoy his presence around the house also. We just can’t say enough words of praise about him.
