Established in 1991.

Our company is based on the desire to provide you and your project with the highest level of personal service. Second only to this, is our commitment to exceptional quality in all aspects of your construction project.

The heart of our company is a staff of experienced members that have extensive skills in all trades. Big Red performs most trades in house, a practice that sets us apart from others in the marketplace. For example, framing, insulation, drywall, paint and roofing, just an sample of construction done by our own.

At Big Red Construction, our goal is to create a relationship with you that will be long term. We want to be your «contractor for life!» We also want to be the last call you ever need to make. We are available for small jobs and repairs for our clients.

As the leader of Big Red Construction, Kathy Kovell has a passion for design and architecture that shines through in each and every project that Big Red creates. Based in Lafayette, Kathy became a contractor in 1991 and has remodeled many kitchens and bathrooms throughout the greater bay area. «The principal philosophy at Big Red Construction is that the client’s satisfaction and wishes are of primary importance.» Kathy is confident that, «Big Red Construction will meet, if not surpass, your expectations and provide you with service you will be proud to recommend to your neighbors and friends.» Kathy loves what she does, and it shows.
